Do you know the other reason that you're not supposed to get into the laptop? Or... Other bonuses of the design?
The fact that you know the name of the machine makes me think you googled.

Apr 20, 2011The Apple Macbook Unibody. It's what they use on all their laptops. For the most part. But what does it REALLY mean? It's not actually one piece, the screen is a hinge... And why can't you open the bottom of your computer to replace stuff anymore?Posted in: Computer Science and Technology
Actually, I know the answers, (I think...?) I just want to see if anyone else knows. And don't Google the answer... Thats no fun. :sad.gif:
I'll post my opinion in a while.
Apr 20, 2011Nowadays though, and I've crunched multiple numbers...Posted in: Computer Science and Technology
Macs, specifically, a Macbook Pro 15-Inch is probably one of the best bargains out there I can find. Except for Alienware, which ran me around 300$ more, for roughly the same hardware.
The MacbookPro 15-inch is a powerhouse, fully upgraded. My dad has a Mac Pro from around 2004, and nowadays, a 15-inch laptop can beat it. 8GB DDR3 RAM is what my dad, and my future laptop (:biggrin.gif:) have.
The Quad-core Intel i7 2.3GHz Proccessor is one of the best out there. Straight from Intel's website, that's the best Laptop proccessor, without getting an overclocked or the 'extreme edition'.
Also, he has dual-graphics cards, so he just beats me in some GDDR5 RAM. But the AMD Radeon 6570 HD is almost as good.
Also, 512 GB Solid-state. Apple makes very good quality solid-state drives. My dad has a 2007 AND a 2010 Macbook Air, and the two perform wonderfully fast, at least read/write-wise. Also, this is backed up by this experiment: (I have proof!) You know, I still don't know what this has to do with anything. Except maybe providing performance. I mean, you could run Windows on this Mac, easy!
The cost of it all? In addition to the 15-inch screen, the fact that this is a LAPTOP, and the smart batteries? Well, it depends on the Solid-state drive; either 2,800$ or 3,900$. :tongue.gif:
Apr 19, 2011This is a more complicated way, but it is rather guarenteed to work.Posted in: Computer Science and Technology
First, back up your entire system if possible. Both Mac and Windows. This is crucial. If you have limited space, Windows and important Windows files are the priority.
Second... Erase the windows Partition. I believe this may be done in Disk Utility. Actually... I think it may be done in Boot Camp Assistant. I dunno. Either way, in Boot Camp Assistant, there will eventually be a choice to modify existing partitions. You should be able to delete your windows partition. Hopefully, you've backed up your data.
Third... Make TWO partitions this time. On one, reinstall Windows. Not the most convienient thing, but hey, this will probably work. I dunno, haven't tested. Either way, you then install Linux on the second (third) partition, and try to boot off it. Hopefully, you have three working partitions for three different OS's!
I am not held responsible for any damage or loss of data. I am merely an advisor, not a genius. Speaking of Genius, take it to your local Apple Store. Maybe they can help?
Also, I think that you are only able to Partition a drive from Mac OSX partition. Therefore, Windows and Linux partitions are untouchable, unless you use disk utility.

Apr 16, 2011I like Mac more, personally, but also like Windows on occasion.Posted in: Computer Science and Technology
I find it to be personal preference. The key things I am thinking about right now, since I am infact looking for a new laptop, are:
Max Possible Performance
Keep those 5 things in mind. Whats your price? If its not too much, I'd say windows, certain macs are definately overpriced. Max performance, I always find that a Mac wins. Size, depends. Are you even getting a laptop? Brand? I love apple as a brand, they have their own stores, it's service made simple... Not that it matters, I only sent it in once for a Disc drive problem i brought uppon myself. Compatibility. Find all your games/programs and hardware, and see if it's compatibile with a mac. I had no trouble going to a mac cause all my other computers were windows desktops, and i didn't have much for them anyway.
Also... @That guy who said that Macs heat up real fast... For the record, anyone who puts their laptop ON their lap is a retard. Laptops give off radiation, all laptops. Always have something around 2+ inches thick on your lap when using your laptop.
Apr 14, 2011zuned1 posted a message on Trying to rid this section of fail stories, WITH ART!I find this offensive. Or at least the stories part.Posted in: Fan Art
On topic, this is great art! Granted, there have been and will be better artists, but just keep making it! It's real nice.
About the stories though... It's mostly some noobs who don't know what grammer is, or who don't really give a crud about their story, or are just rushing for popularity.
Me, Cyber, jonnopon, Dragon, and a few others that I can't quite remember, (Jesonomi!) have all written very successful stories.
I demand this be changed nao.
Apr 14, 2011Well, I have some things I want to discuss with Nick again, so I'm waiting for him to go on skype.. But basically, we could like... Release it in episodes, and maybe later release it as a full movie.Posted in: Video/Series Help
One reason I say we can't release it as a full movie... One, I feel like you guys deserve that same every-so-often thing I did with the story. Maybe less frequently, but we can definately work on it. The other reason, is YouTube doesn't allow videos over 15 minutes unless you are a trusted member, a thing niether me nor Nick are(yet, we wanna be.)
Apr 12, 2011Guys, I don't know if the main post says this, but...Posted in: Video/Series Help
Please try to submit audio files for your voice! The people we have picked, we have all heard their voice!
Submit an audio file, please! Either a link to your youtube video, or something else..
Apr 9, 2011Both accepted. :wink.gif:Posted in: Clans
Woot!! We hit the 3 person limit that says that if you don't have 3 people within a week of creating your clan than your clan will be deleted to prevent clan spam! :biggrin.gif:
That was a mouthful.
Adding you now.
Apr 8, 2011Posted in: ClansQuote from Sliad »Welp, the only two sections of the forum I ever go are pretty much the modding and fan art sections so I think I'll join eventually if you'll have me. I was planning on writing a story sometime soon (still working out the plot) and I guess if I start that and it gets popular I'll make an application.
Seems like it'll be awesome though! :biggrin.gif:
Apply now, why not? Just be a curator. Help support us!
