How do you manage to play other video games on the computer without a credit card or paypal etc.? It seems pretty obvious to me that the only people who can't buy minecraft are 8 and have ignorant parents who don't know where Sweden is or that millions of others have safely purchased this game.
my solution is simple: Hire C coders, put them in a room and tell them to make make minecraft in a C language. When that is done pay them. Then get really good C coders and have them add tons of stuff to the game. Bug fix, and done. Or since Notch has no initiative, just sell the rights to minecraft to someone with real initiative who will get it done.
This happens. Sometimes I find dead skeletons lying on the ground on fire that aren't really there anymore from when they burned in the day light. It happens sometimes. Puppies are no exception.
Let me clarify. I am not using half steps to hide my lighting. I was saying that when I use stairs as stairs, it looks ugly, so I have to replace those with half steps. I also agree that visible lighting does look good if done right, but on a few particular designs for a few rooms, the hidden lights were appropriate. I knew this would be fixed, and I am not complaining about that anyhow. I am just upset that one glitch regarding stairs was replaced with another. The first one having useful side effects that didn't hurt anyone in anyway at all. The second making things annoying, ugly and overall making the block useless.
I don't want to hate here. I am just really upset Notch's logic was to take away a good glitch in favor of a bad one. What do I mean? I mean the hidden lighting glitch. Using stairs you could face the 1m tall part in a wall and hide a torch behind it and light would go through the stairs. This made certain designs really fun and easy and clean. Now we can't do that. Instead when you place stairs, on the gap between the steps, the light level is 0, even if it is day time. This makes using stairs, evne for stairs ugly and worthless. It took away my hidden lighting, so I have to relight rooms and take away from their design that I build around the hidden lighting, and now I have to use wood half steps to replace the ugly stairs. This makes no sense and I am frustrated by this decision.
yeah its the whole fact that only mojang is allowed to give the game to paying customers, and they do not provide the old versions of the game. Having indev might be fun to have for a while, but I don't really care.
