I considered it but I'd rather leave up the current poll and I don't want to make a completely separate topic for a relatively minor part of the overall proposal. I'd rather get a general impression from the regulars of this topic, then pick a design and move on.
I pick #9, as I think a full-stop should have a bigger (or more) lights and be symmetrical (as it will stop from both sides)
Also on another note, what would happen if a cart fell onto a full stop track (instead of being placed on it)? Would it float?
To clarify then, I'm looking for a world where I can build and mine without having to go out into wilderness (far from the spawn point) to find a plot of land for a building project I'm hoping to make. I am looking for a more "community" feel without being restricted to do so. I would love to be in an island-based map, so I'll check them out.
I'm looking to join a server that is relatively untouched. Preferably without mods. Size does not matter and I will follow all building codes. Above all else I'm looking to have fun!
Edit: I have found a server. Thank you everyone for helping.
This will only add another main world.
Notch wants to use ia as an alternative world, and this gets too complicated
Can you please cite where Notch said this? And even then, some people like the challenge of living purely in the Nether, so why not give players more reasons to be there?
a white speck of light flying aimlessly through the Nether that lights any mob or block it touches on fire.
It's a neutral mob (attacks if it is attacked) that doesn't drop anything, but if you have anything to capture it in (a glass bottle or something) you can place it as a light source (however if you break the bottle to try and move it, the firefly will be set free and will try to reduce you to ashes!)
NO then it would be a RP not a fun game any more i just hate the idea of this because
1.it takes too long to cook/get food
2.no more exploration
3.theres very few food sources these are it [apple]
4.this would be more of a mod not a thing for the game if you want this MAKE A MOD
1. tell that to the guy who takes less than 5 seconds to harvest and craft a loaf a bread. (and it only takes 2 swings from a stone sword to kill a pig)
2. please elaborate.
3. yet they are easy to acquire (aside from the apple of course). Also mushrooms don't heal (unless you meant stew), and you forgot cake.
4. Yes it could be a mod. But if they wanted it to be one they would have posted it in the mapping and modding forum instead of here.
And a last note, there would be an on/off switch in the options screen, right near the difficulty control.

Why?

I imagined them being iron durability. Though they would be more rare.

Yes, that would help greatly if you do that Wayvo.
Edit: still looking for a server, as current suggestions are having problems. If I find one I like I am likely to stick with one server!

Some still want it while on peaceful in order to make it ever so slightly dangerous.
