By golly you're making a lot of threads. You CAN get post count up by just posting in threads, ya know.
As for discoveries, I just found out that giving a pigman a stone sword DOESN'T grand you their gold sword in return, like it once did.

I always thought that pants should get their own unique enchantment - my idea was called "wader" which decreased the amount that water pushed you around so it was easier to deal with water streams in caves and stuff. Now it looks like Mojang have put the equivalent of this on boots and called it Depth Strider or something.
T_T when will leggings get their own enchants
"Gusty Pants" Enchantment;
You jump further (and possibly higher).
And yes this should be in the suggestions subforum. But you're new, so just keep it in mind for next time.
Jun 28, 2014It's like looking in a mirror..!Posted in: Survival Mode
To me, it's the most exciting part of minecraft, sometimes. I always need bonemeal for farms and such, and gunpowder never hurts. (well, not entirely true. Hehe.)
I myself find that a lvl 1 enchanted stone sword will carry me through a single night of battling. They're cheap, effective and replaceable.
The gear that mobs can wear also makes it interesting; usually i'll try to obtain at least one rare drop a night. It's a fun and quick way to get a hefty stockpile of bows, too, I find, which is handy as they happen to be my favourite weapon.
Oh, and it's nice to meet a glowing pair of red spider eyes in the dark. Potion effect spiders freak me right the hell out.
Jun 27, 2014The exp required to level is constant until after level 16, where it gets harder and harder to level up. That's why it's better to enchant+combine lower level books/items rather than get to level 30 and enchant, as it wastes a large amount of time. However, nothing beats getting a lucky lvl 30 enchantment, so who knows..Posted in: Survival Mode

i have never played hardcore mode on single player.
Then why even post in the thread...For me, I never get past 5-6 in-game days.Largely due to my inherent cheapness; i hate using armour because it's costly. ;-;
Jun 24, 2014Well, I really ought to make an iron farm and proper spider exp farm (only dungeon nearby. ;-; ) but for the iron farm, I can't really be bothered + it's a huge eyesore the way I'd build it, and the dungeon farm... well, I don't even know HOW to make a spider one. Other than that, I'd love to get a flame 1 + infinity 1 bow, with as many power levels as I can without it becoming too expensive to repair (in <1.8).Posted in: Survival Mode
- and also, a huge statue of my little character carved out of stone, preferably in some kind of dramatic pose or another. Hehe.
Jun 24, 2014I like it, it's original and adds a certain "pikmin" feel (basically a very(in my case) pressure-inducing time limit) to an otherwise laid back, take-as-long-as-you-want game. I do have one small issue, and that's the sleeping symptom. It starts on day 50, the day you will die, soPosted in: Survival Mode
a ) if you cure the plague, you won't have that symptom anymore, or
b ) if you don't cure it, you're dead by the end of the day anyway so it doesn't take effect. Perhaps make it begin on day 35-40 or so? Just a tip.
I may end up trying this!
Jun 24, 2014zollie20 posted a message on I beat hardcore :-) - My tips and story. Spoilers.Posted in: Survival ModeQuote from DaltronForce
By saying so, you have admitted that you haven't exactly finished the game. And technically you cant "beat" minecraft since the game never ends and it's nothing amazing really since so many people like you have done the same, defeating the enderdragon in hardcore.
And most of your info is obviously from Paulsoaresjr, so nothing great there. No problem in getting inspired from him though. I can understand. I was inspired by him too.
If someone is happy about beating the dragon when they previously haven't done so and wishes to share their experience, then let them do so in peace. Good gods, man.
Jun 8, 2014Hi, good to see you doing another journal- the last one was good fun to watch!Posted in: Survival Mode
As for mod suggestions, perhaps that mod (is it infernal something?) that adds harder mobs. Might make for a more interesting time aboard your floating fort!

I've been going nuts lately. I new I used to be able to do that. I not a huge fan of shift clicking and getting muliple stacks of an output.
Hi, i see you're pretty new here- the last post in this thread was almost 3 year ago, so by posting here you've bumped an old thread- this is 'necroing' and is generally frowned upon. Just an fyi, enjoy your time around!
Jun 6, 2014I've never been one for huge creations, but I do recall, a while back, digging out a *MASSIVE* chamber underground at bedrock in order for slimes to spawn. I didn't know if it was a slime chink or not, but the room was big enough for it to span multiple slime chunks in the end.Posted in: Survival Mode
Also, i'm making a pretty damn big pirate ship for my main base currently on a new world, and I think I might even rig it with infinite ammo egg guns (linked to an egg farm)...
Ill post pics when i'm done, perhaps.
Jun 5, 2014Well, not sure if you can call it a house, but on my new world i'm in the process of creating a huge pirate ship. (in a world where my best tool is a stone axe. I haven't even caved yet.) It's located in a deep basin, not too large but big enough to accommodate the ship, just next to a large Roofed Forest biome with a strange, tiny plains biome in the center, which houses a single NPC Village house (the library) however the occupant was a zombie when I got there. The single farm had both carrots + potatoes, though, so it wasn't totally worthless!Posted in: Survival Mode
I like biomes with many trees. Easy access to wood and generally looks nice, imo. I also dislike the less lush looking grass/leaf tones.
