Perhaps it's a silly idea, but how hard would it be to write a converter, to convert a normal map, to small blocks, so that 1 grass block in "real world" equals 1 small block.
Ok, so maybe 50 is a little high. 30+? 40+? I mean, if someone were to say "Hey, I have 48 people, do I qualify", yes, of course. The thing I'm looking for is to get together with a group of server admins that are experiencing the same pains we are, and exchange knowledge on how to fix those pains, and make a better Minecraft experience overall for our users (our collective users).
Not sure braintrust is the best name for it, but what I'd like to try to get going, is a collaborative effort by the server administrators of the large SMP servers (large meaning 50+ online at any given time), to share ideas/workarounds/etc that have enabled you to get your server operating at it's peak.
A side effect of this, I would also like to release some sort of documentation from this/these meetings, to help out server owners in general.
I understand that there is a level of competitiveness in regard to operation of a server, but I think we can all benefit from the knowledge flow, as there are certain types of players that will flock to certain servers (for instance Buxville with it's amazing Caste system, just isn't for everyone, but still attracts players that like the system (don't take that as a slight against Buxville, it's a great server, and I enjoy the caste system)).
So it brings me to the point. Are any of the server admins of the larger server willing to sit down and chat in a round-table like discussion, and release a community guide/document to help with the setup/administration of a large server?

Imagine being "godzilla" in Broville!
