This pack requires MCPatcher or Optifine to run properly. It is also suggested you use at least the following settings: HD Textures, HD Font, Connected Textures, Random Mobs, Custom Colors, Better Skies.
Derivation needs mod support! If you would like to help out and create textures for a mod, they could be posted here with full credit. Help make Derivation a widely used pack for all to enjoy!
Here is a PSD of the GUI textures so it's easier for you to make mod GUIs.

Currently all Mod Support downloads are just image files. You will have to place them in their correct locations to overwrite the mods existing files.

Time for a Triton screenshot mega-post!
GUI:
Buttons!
More buttons!
Toolbar with middle slot selected:
Health Bar (with various status effects)
Of course, the only flaw with the ol' bar style is that it wiggles around like a wet noodle when you're on the brink of death. Thanks, Mojang!
Enchantment UI... not really sure why I started off with this one, of all the UIs...
Instead of a boring old slot with a book on top of it, you get to actually place your item into the side of the "table"! How fun is that?
Compatible with both 1.7 and 1.8, too!
New blocks:
Ice...
...And it's mortal enemy, lava:
Clay and hardened clay:
Stained clays:
Ros- err... Poppies, and dandelions:
Jungle, Acacia, and Dark Oak logs:
Dark Oak, Acacia, and Jungle leaves:
All the leaves!
Fancier!
Netherrack:
Going for the same style as Derivation's netherrack (vertical pillars of weird rocky stuff), however, what I came up with looks a bit ugly, IMO. Might try less shadowing...
Brown mushroom and some lazilly-done Mycelium that has yet to be shaded.
The leaves look amazing!

Each entry in the list can be a completely different model with it's own textures if you so chose. You can also add a "weight" attribute to indicate how common a model should be.
Ex:
{ "__comment": "Fair warning, this format is highly likely to change even more in the future!", "variants": { "normal": [ { "model": "netherrack", "weight": 7 }, { "model": "netherrack_glowing", "weight": 2 }, { "model": "netherrack_bones", "weight": 1 } ] } }
That should give a 70% chance for the netherrak to be normal, a 20% chance for it to be 'glowing' and a 10% chance for it to have 'bones'. (Granted this requires you to define the _glowing and _bones model variations.)
This is almost enough to make me want to mess around with the models. But they look so scary. lol - To post a comment, please login.

Made all Stone Brick flavors. Also made a Stone Slab texture, which can be seen in the following screenshot:

A few things I'd like to bring up. One, you should check your messenger. Also, there's a cool thing with Minecraft that, with a .properties file, allows mobs to spawn with certain textures in certain biomes. The reason I bring this up is because I know you're getting into the CTM stuff and it's a cool addition I think you'd have a lot of fun with.
Say you'd want zombies to spawn in Deserts with Mummy skins, which you've named zombie8.png and zombie9.png. This is what you'd put:
So this is saying that, in Desert and Desert Hills biomes, zombies will spawn with textures 8 and 9, which is zombie8.png and zombie9.png.
Now say you want zombies to spawn in the Ocean and River biomes with Pirate skins, which you've named in the "mob" folder "zombie10.png" and "zombie11.png" In the same .properties file, you'd enter this below the first one:
Every time you want to add another, you'd just continue in a similar fashion. Then save the file as "[mobName].properties," in the case of this it would be zombie.properties, and BAM! Biome specific skins!
I can imagine you making great use of this, friend.
So yeah, I absolutely love this texture pack, keep up the great work!
