Looks good dude, nice work!

Love how fluffy the 3d models for the flowers and vines look, I kinda want to make my vines more overgrown like that, it gives things a lot of depth...

Yeah! I got the idea while I was replaying Zelda: Skyward Sword, because in that game Nintendo made vines in the same way I did; 4 planes that are just barely separated from each other, each one with their own unique texture to kind of "fake depth." I added the leaves as random variants because I saw that Conquest 3D Addon pack did that. XD

As for the flower models, those were the first models I ever made. I like them, definitely... But! I'm gonna be redoing them comin' up soon here. Ideally, I'm gonna make every flower (and it's flower pot variant) have that "fluffy" looking 3D texture, but it's gonna take a lot of handwriting the code, because opl's Model Creator doesn't support rotation. Not a big deal though. :P

Glad you like 'em, Sheep! Especially since you're such an inspiration. :3

    ::NINJA EDIT::

So what you're seeing here is both my randomized brick texture as well as my custom Brick Slab textures (which are the blocks with the vertical bricks). Also shown is the Brick Stairs, which don't have any sort of special texture, nor do I think it will ever. My brick.png is the texture that the stairs are using, and I think it looks pretty sweet. That same texture (brick.png) is what the bottom faces of the slabs use. I finally made Brick (and all it's block types) a block I want to use! Haha.

Those are some sweet textures, I love the models for the plants and vines, like a lot. Also, how does your end portal frame have the enchanting table hieroglyph effect? Is it a model or something else?

That's just some command-block magic. haha. Should have mentioned that. All the screenshots are from a WIP adventure map I've been working on with a friend to be compatible with the pack. Should have specified that. Sorry. XD

Would it be acceptable to use Cgtextures.com textures as a base for my texture's patterns? I'd rather focus on drawing the textures themselves than have to spend time making patterns that tile properly. Ain't nobody got time fo dat. :P

Seems fair enough, so long as you don't outright just use the texture, LOL. Which I know you won't do. XD

Sure, I'll give this a go. Probably going to just do GUI, haha. Can't think of any way to make clever "apocalyptic-styled" terrain blocks without being too cliche. Will post later, hopefully! :D

Maybe, between all of us, we can get a hashtag trending? Something like #MCMetablocks or the like. I'll gladly contribute; as you know, Fish, I'm in total favor of the metadata blocks. I think it's one of the greatest unintended features ever!

But yeah, I definitely think we should spread the word and overwhelm the devs to see if we can get somewhere with adding this to vanilla. :D

    Hey everyone!

I'm going to need your opinions on some wooden tools. I'm torn between what versions to use; I made some rougher looking ones (inspired by some various stick shapes I found while collecting firewood when I went camping) and some more refined ones that have definite shapes and can be more easily identified. Which do y'all prefer?

    Nice!

I, too, submitted a contest entry. I didn't make a fancy picture like Peyton did, but here's an ever-so delicious link to it. :L

    Click me! :D

I made a huge backstory for the skin, too. So go visit that page, leave a Diamond, and read the story of the deceased Enethrian Miner.

The concept of the saddle-bag is interesting, but the rendering doesn't seem to match to me. It is much cleaner and smoother than the stone treatment.

I decided on the non-saddle GUI anyway, so no worries. I see what you mean, though. :P

Anyway! Texture dump time! Here's my current worksheet for "Mystica v1.0," or "Mist 2.0," haha.

And also, custom book GUI (showing off the new font, too!) :

I think maybe the item slots don't need those little pockmarks on them. Other than that, looks great!

Hmm... I'll see how it looks, but I like the rugged feel of the slots, haha. It's the way I've interpreted the default Minecraft GUIs as; slabs of stone with holes cut-out for items.

In other news, I need an opinion; which horse GUI looks better?

    This:

    ... Or this:

The premise behind the second one is that on a regular horse you'll see the closed saddlebag, but if you put a chest on a donkey/mule, the slots overlay the bag and make it look "open." It's a proof of concept that I figured I'd try. Tell me what you think!

Also, should I make GUI screens be different material (wood, etc.) to match what the GUI is for? (a-la John Smith-style, lol). :P

Version 2 of my GUI. (This is the template that I'll copy/paste behind all the applicable GUI screens. From there, I add in the slots accordingly/make changes specific to the GUI screen itself) :

    So, I'm redoing my GUI...

Think this is looking good? Or should I try something different?

Eh, I don't like it too much. Sounds like some weird political party. :P Pack names should generally be short on syllables and easy to spell/remember, IMO. The old name was better in that respect.

Your pack has a sort of dark, medieval theme, right? Here's some options I can think of:

    Shroud
    Morrow
Desolace (might be a bit too dark)
    Stormwind
    Vestige
    Darkmoor
    Nightfall

"Desolate," the word I assume your "Desolace" derives from, sounds perfect! Thanks for that. ^_^

I have finally decided on the new name for "Mist!" Here it is -

    REPUDITARIAT
    pronouced: reh-pew-dih-tair-ee-it
noun:- From the word "repudiate", meaning to refuse to associate; to be alone.
The suffix "-tariat" makes this mean "a series of refusals for interaction."

    Whaddaya y'all think? I don't think I was complex enough, lol. :P

    Hey peeps!
It's been a while, but I'm trying to get back into texturing, and I'm doing so by redoing my "Mist" texturepack!

Meaning, I need your folks' help for a new name; Mist doesn't sound fitting nor interesting enough to me anymore; I need something that'll fit more with the style of the pack; a dark, magical, medieval fantasy.

Thanks in advance everyone, and screenshots coming soon. :P
