hi, i'm trying to recreate the vent mechanics from among us. im planning on making a single crouch put the player in vents and let them switch between the nearby vents, and i want a double crouch to take them out of the vents. is there any way to detect double crouches?
i'm trying to make a carrot on a stick that the player can right click to boost their elytra (like fireworks, but infinite). is there a way to simulate the elytra boost trough commands?
i couldn't figure out how to randomize spawns with that method, but after a week i finally came up with an easier way:
i summoned an armorstand every .5 blocks, since i didn't really need it any more specific than that
i then teleported all "asteroids" without the tag "randomed" to a random one using @e[tag=randomizer,limit=1]
then, executed at each "randomizer," it tags @e[tag=!randomed,distance=...1] with tag "randomed" so they wouldn't teleport again
edit: the game is now playable, but in the next week or so, i'm hoping to add powerups to the game. once i finish with that update i'm going to try to recreate it in a singleplayer world so i can upload it to pmc
i have minecraft essentials on my server, and it has its own /give /tp /weather and other commands like that, but i don't like them. i prefer the original vanilla commands. is there a way to make mojang commands top priority? i tried disabling the commands in the congig file, but that disabled the mojang counterpart as well.
is there a way to allow people to get in by walking or something? i want people to be able to get in if they know where it is. i just dont want people to tp to it
i built a secret base on my server, and i don't want anyone to know about it so i was wondering if there was a way to redirect anyone who teleports to me to a decoy location. so like if they do /tp yurcake it brings them somewhere else. i also wanna make an option to toggle this if possible. any help would be greatly appreciated!

i copy/pasted the commands exactly and nothing happens. if i give myself the tagged firework it will give me another one but that's all it does.
edit: it works now. i guess it was just server lag. thanks!
