posted a message on Requesting for a builder and a redstone engineer

Hey I am starting a server based on the classic minigames of Minecraft Classic that you no longer see but were really fun. So I am requesting for anyone who can work command blocks and can build. Also if you are looking to build, on the Free Build world you will have a very limited block choice (To fit in with classics list) Note: I added in Sea Lanterns and Torches into block list.

If you are interested just comment a application. There is no limitations on age or experience. The template is bellow.

    IGN:
What you want to be called:
Way of contact: (I take Email, Discord and Skype) (Not required)

    Thanks in advanced! :D

They probably wont let someone else make it was only discontinued because of the limited capability, also Microsoft rivals the Raspberry Pi, they probably wont pick it back up.

Yes there is limited capability but Microsoft does not "rival" the Pi. They don't have anything like it, and actually Windows 10 has a version built for the Pi (And other microcomputers) called Windows 10 IoT Core
As for the reason why they do not continue it or have someone continue it is not because it has limited capacity at all. Actually multiple people have been able to play Minecraft 1.8.9 (Probably 1.10 too but have not seen anything about it) with ok FPS on the Raspberry Pi 2, without even needing Optifine.
I actually just watched a guy with 1.8.9 on Pi 3 running 25-30 FPS. So why has no one tried to make a new one or Microsoft hasn't continued work on it is unanswered, and the only thing they say about it is that its too hard to port from PE to PiE

posted a message on Minecraft's support with Intel Q35 Express Chipset Family on Win10.

So on my Linux partition(running Linux Mint) MC runs ok at a 10-30 FPS range. Also I had Windows 7 and vista for a while and they ran ok as well. However when I started using the Win10 TechPrev MC did not work. Later Win10 was released, all of us developers got free copy's (Yay) and MC still does not work. it gives a pixel format not accelerated error and won't start. Some people have said that it is incompatible with newer versions and can't be played, but I am not sure about that.

posted a message on Custom Levels Story Mode
    Quote from Mandler119»

I have had a lot of fun from the Minecraft story mode, and I was thinking that custom stories would be great. Now I know that making cutscenes wouldn't be probable for user made levels, but what about the rest? I don't see what could be so hard with having users easily make their own dialogue, making easy choices and combat. It is pretty close to making mods. What is your opinion on this?

I completely agree! Although modding would be a not so good idea I could completely see you making a map in Minecraft and in MCSM going and adding characters, combat, dialog, etc. Cutscenes could be simply characters moving around and having scripted places, kinda like RPG Maker. However more advanced cutscenes are right out.

posted a message on Windows 10 Cortana Integration - Minecraft on the Tip of your Tongue

Really much support however, why just Cortana? Sure it would be useful but when will you EVER use it outside of game? The only thing I could think of is if it looked for MC updates Oh wait we have the newish MC Launcher. Not only that, not everyone uses Windows 10. I know people with Windows Vista, 7, and 8. Plus I use a mix of WIndows 7, 10, Ubuntu, Linux Mint, and Mac(and I don't even use Windows much). Another thing is that there is no such thing as a Cortana Java intergration API. So it would just be so much easier, simpler, more compatible and useful if it was in-game.

posted a message on Freeze Command! Freeze All Mobs, Water, Fire, and Other Stuff!

    I think you should

    1. Make the command /freeze (Has relation to 2, also Mojang does not really care about spc(We have seen it many times before with spc and other mods))

    2. Have NBT Tags like /freeze {r=[radius](Freezes in a certain radius),entityType:"[entity]"(Freezes a specific entity type),freezeType:[flowing/daylight(like /gamerule doDaylightCycle)/gravity](Pretty much entityType except with other things),freezePlayer:[true/false](For adventure maps)} (Of course there would be more but these were some things I whipped up :P :D

don't care. Same java code runs on both. therefore differences are in native / driver code or the problem is with the pack or with your settings.

Its on the same computer, same settings, heck even the same file. (It was copied over from my old partition) The only difference is OS Version, Some Programs, and some more files, most(or all) which should no change anything(At least Minecraft related)

No. The links that site offers for Lite appear to be for 1.7

That still does not change the fact the it has worked on Ubuntu 14.04 with 1.8
