I saw. The thread was started all the way back in August. I'm surprised all the people on the first page are still here, in all honesty. xD

Though I suppose I popped in just in time, give myself 10 days to situate before the server actually opens for the beta weekends.

You're surprised I am still here? Do you see the amount of writing I have done so far for this? xD Also volunteered to learn a new programming language just to get this going faster xD (Pretty sure I was also the first non-admin to apply officially (or otherwise) )

IC LORE FOR YUUMI AND RENON.

"Exactly twelve stars; twelve stars shone brightly in the sky and Felix stood on the very same cliff he had stood the night of the twelve shining. That night had been like so many others and yet..." Yuumi looked up from the weathered book. The stars above her vastly outnumbered that of the fantasy she was slowly but methodically losing herself in and it was building within her a sense of timid excitement. Her breath rose in white clouds exhaled past soft pale lips that seemed to hold a tenderness beyond the young girl's face. Soft pink hair fell around her head like a shawl, covering her shoulders, the tips of which falling just over her small breasts. "The sky would look so... empty" she thought, "it would be lonely to live under that roof..." She looked around at her surroundings, nothing had changed since sundown. The wall was silent, a guard walking along it carrying a torch, his sheath clinking against the chainmail leggings. Beyond the wall, though silent now, roamed many fierce things that Yuumi knew would not hesitate for a moment in ripping her petite body to unrecognizable pieces. The thought made her shudder and she looked back down at her book. "... and yet it would change Felix's life forever". She finished the page and stuck the small velvet bookmark between the worn pages, softly stroking it before carefully closing it. Placing it in her side bag she decided to head towards the wall... maybe do a bit of searching as she didn't seem to be feeling tired at all. Between her and the wall, blades of grass waved synchronously to some magical beat, perhaps of the Great Tree's making, causing the ground to appear as a dark green ocean. Yuumi took her time, basking in the bright moonlight of the night, breathing deeply, exchanging the sharp smell of pine for a white puff of breath. The chill bit at her where the fur clothes did not cover but it was a nice bite, the flow of cooled air passing around her as if she was swimming, flowing about her hair in the same dance that the grass was taking part in. She felt alive, a figurine in a vast collection, all taking part in the great performance of life. Then she tripped.

Yuumi's face hurt, her soft jaw must have hit something hard, a rock perhaps. Her beautiful miscoloured eyes blinked in confusion, what just happened? She felt a movement against her small ankles and very suddenly realized she was lying prone crossways over a cloaked body. The dark black bundle moved and Yuumi rolled unto one knee, knowing very well that this was not normal. She thought about yelling for help but this thing might attack and she might not live. Her breath came shallow and fast as her heart began pounding in anticipation. The bundle grumbled: "grmmph... GRRMPH" The body flew upwards unto it's feet and began brushing itself off, it was a human! Yuumi stared at the dirt covered man, a sense of disgust welling up inside her. Human's were boring, young, foolish and stupid. Then it looked at her. Yuumi's mouth opened a little as it revealed it's face. Soft ice blue eyes burned brightly against the fair white skin. The man had a clean shaven face but seemed to give of an aura of confidence. He held her gaze in his sorrowful eyes and she felt something more, a sort of longing, an infinite loneliness that emanated from him.

"Who are... you, Human!" She managed to get the words out alright stumbling only once. "My name is Renon and I was sleeping." Yuumi's eyebrows furrowed in frustration, "Renon? That is a very odd name, why are you here, were you sent to us? How did you get over the wall?" Thoughts racing, she fired the questions of rapidly, one after another, hoping to set him off balance. Instead, Renon simply breathed a sigh that presented an air of tiredness, "I came only to sleep here with full intentions on moving along tomorrow. I am glad I met you though, what is your name princess, now that you have mine?" Yuumi's eyes opened a little wider, did he just call her princess? "My name is Yuumi and I do not know what game you are playing but you are making me uncomfortable so I am leaving." She spun around, about to walk away and then stopped. Renon had bent down and retrieved her bag from the ground where it had tumbled off of her during her fall. She walked back towards him "hey, give that back, it's mine." Renon looked into her eyes again, the silver white hair falling around his eyes in sharp clumped spikes. "...and what may I have in return?" Yuumi just glared as she swiped the bag from his hand. Renon smiled, a sad sort of smile, the kind that makes you want to cry out of sheer pity. Yuumi flung the strap over her head "These things are not for you. Now I am leaving. Good bye Renon, please stay away from me." As she turned her back on him, she heard a soft whisper of words. Yuumi whirled around, that wasn't common he was speaking, and stared not into the fiery eyes of the midnight man but the empty pine scented air that she had become so familiar with as of late. He was gone.
"Renon... Renon... Renon..." She repeated the name out loud as she walked back home, almost as if by uttering his name, she could bring him back, he was far more interesting than anything else she had sent or a while and he didn't exactly look bad.

Hmm i've just browsed your lore and all the rules, but i had one question in mind: Are the demons just flat-out demonic creatures, or are they slain sinners aswell? i'd like to play around with their concept to make a more complex personality- driven demon rather then jsut flat out barbaric n bash skulls stuffz.

I believe this could be played with. The Demons haven't been released as of yet and as long as your character doesn't have a change of heart, things should be all well.

Since time memorable, myths of "otherworldly" beings inhabiting the lands of Thalindor have passed on through oral and written tradition. Many were led to believe that these creatures were evil, stalking men in the night and causing death and chaos wherever they went. These phobias generated a lot of hate towards what was actually the outer-workings of a hidden Empire, one that existed not on their own but actually existed within the social orders off Thalindor. The shadowy entities that the ignorant had deemed the Evils of the Night were the messengers, sent to deliver packages of utmost secrecy. As these messengers could not fail in their duty, they developed measure to protect themselves against all forms of hindrances. The Auroi couriers developed enlarged canines, allowing an aspect of fear to settle around them to help keep weaker willed beings from interrupting their work; They developed pale skin from constantly being cloaked in the shadows of the night, painting their skin and concealing themselves through magics which also happen to keep them away from the sun; They began thinking in purely logical logarithms, unable to allow emotion to take part in decision making, they became creatures of pure will... Only the destination mattered. In all respects, they appeared to take the shape of a very familiar myth, the Vampire. Soon, the messengers found themselves promoted other works, always teaching the ways of Darkness to the next generation. It became a social normality to be "Godsent" the name they gave to those who took upon themselves the Messenger's Cloak. The Messenger's Cloak was a way of life that allowed for radical free thinking and an open societal foundation. Democracy and Dictatorship was no longer necessary as what was good for all was just accepted as it was and that which was seen to hurt the Auroi was removed immediately. No one argued.

    i <3 Age of thalindor

Renon Ferun A'eneroth had grown up in his mother's care. Always curious and open-minded, he found himself never fully satisfied with a simple answer, always wanting to delve deeper into the source of knowledge. At age 10, he had forgotten what play was, focusing on magical studies and combat prowess, enhancing his movements and strength with spoken magics. While not training, over the years the young prince engineered and experimented with magic, developing odd combinations and learning many things his fellow students did not. At age 17, he took part in an experiment on himself where he attempted to weaponize his own blood through kinetic manipulation. He found that he could separate the plasma from the iron enriched blood cells, congealing it into a solid, and then mixing the two again, forming it back into a liquid; at will. This prompted a very, almost psychotic, frenzy of research as he attempted to manipulate another human's blood, reaching success at the cost of his only brother "Silas". This broke him internally, fracturing his mind into a mask and a beast, the former a form of control over the latter's insanity. This consumed him as he searched for many decades for a way to control himself; but not without first driving himself far away from his kin and family.

The first couple of years went by savagely, hunting and meeting basic survival needs were a struggle as Renon also had to contend with a shattered mentality. This mental fallacy that had become his super-ego constantly forced into situations where his life was in peril. By the third year, he had found a cave in which he could stay 8 months of the year. This allowed him to begin writing, keeping records of his thoughts, attempting to form coherency through solid understanding. Year 4 was difficult, the rain came early and stayed late, a long winter of deathly cold and an apparent increase in local predator populations put Renon's skills to the test as he had to fight for not only a place to sleep, but for sleep itself. Soon, he lost his cave to a wolfpack, losing the stability of a home and the only way he knew of keeping his thoughts together. Throughout the following 3 years, Renon reverted back into his primal state, The Beast as he had named it, back when he named things. The Beast was no ordinary wildebeast though, as it had use of Renon's Magical knowledge. This lead to unstable experimentation, wild use of raw magic in it's purest form. Lightning rained down, striking whatever he pleased, birds trees and even the odd bear. He traveled back to the cave, his savage mind searching for the old familiarity of a home. Upon arriving, he decimated the wolfpack, forcing it to flee it's parent's domain, running defenseless into the great blizzard that was a product of Renon's searing mind. Another 5 years passed this way, time passed as it does to one who does not keep record. He slept, he ate, he slept and he ate again, life was a reoccurring dream, one that even he himself was unaware of. One day, after a long rest, Renon went out for food and, searching for hours he found he had literally culled the entire area of wildlife. For miles he searched, finding naught but a button rabbit or two; certainly not enough for sustenance. This prompted the consumption of wild berries and mushrooms he found. One particular mushroom he consumed happened to have grown from a surge of magical radiation, resonant left overs from his destructive wasteful use of the power. The mushroom had changed to produce a psychoactive indole alkaloid known as Psilocybin. The effects of this particular chemical cause the consumer to experience stages of mental transcendence.

In the following weeks, Renon consumed many pounds of the drug learning many things about himself and becoming completely transformed in the process. Through careful self manipulation, he trained his mind to control his Id, learning ways to use the magic of his primal self in a way that resonated with his transcendental self, an alliance of two very powerful mentalities. He learned the difference that magic has when let wild and when focused properly. For the remaining 4 years, Renon developed a societal structure that he deemed superior to that which he had seen as a child. He thought up all aspects of this society and the roles that the first generations would play. He called it The Instrumentality Construct and he would start with the Auroi. Leaving behind his cave and all the erratic thoughts of his former self, he returns now 16 years later, having succeeded in controlling his id and super ego through meditation...

With the beast under control and plans for a society, Renon travels forwards with no ill intentions though prepared to move mountains for his purpose.

Anything else you want us to know?
Physical description: Renon is six foot two, medium stature and snow white hair that accents his ice blue eyes. He seems slender for his height though he has evident abdominals and leg muscles from running. While he is obviously male, some of his uniform is quite feminine and he often wears a bandanna on his left fore-arm.
Personality: Renon is quiet and dark. When he does speak, he appears to have put a lot of thought into what he says. Though he doesn't express emotion regularly, Renon has many theories on the ideology associated with sociopathy, of which he is a victim. Morally ambiguous and logical unto a fault, Renon finds it hard to relate to others in any sort of profound way, rather deciding to show understanding through silence.

Renon possesses a naturally high affinity to magic even for a Human and, coupled with his innate ability to learn, translates into something akin to an addiction for him. While he enjoys the ability of expression through magic, Renon respects the usage of it and feels that to use it needlessly is wasteful of talent, only benefiting to further separate one's mind from sanity.

    * Auroi are a psuedo-vampiric societal ideology. The feasting of blood is only ritualistic but serves to enrich the mind through the consumption of iron. Auroi believe that magic is a gift and so those who do not possess it or are not quick to learn are "lesser" beings. This does not make them enemies but rather simply inferior. Along with the Ritual of Blood, Auroi take part in selective breeding to promote certain genetic traits.

    Lore:
A note from Prince Renon to Lord Hunemari, found in his personal possessions after his death at Point Burn:
Death and Order, Death and Order, Death and Order. The two mix like blood and wine, though their tastes may differ, they look the same and so do not shy from the mind. Death, like wine, has a unique taste, a mysterious one that is always new to the taster. Blood on the other hand has a distinct, unmistakable savor that can be depended upon to always taste that way and though the consistency may differ a little from animal to animal, the metallic bite is always there. This is the role of Death and Order. One provides a destination and the other the path, both working in perfect unison to build the Path of Life. Many families through out Time have tried to alter this path but the only result is a more direct route to the final destination. You are no exception to this. If you continue this reckless abandon, Death will find you faster than you will like. To run is futile for he has many messengers, though I understand your fear. I write to you only to forewarn and enlighten you to your situation. Though Death has no body, I could be said to be an effigy of it's teachings. I hope you reconsider your actions in this situation immediately. This is not a threat. This is a warning.

    Signed,
    - Prince Renon A'eneroth, The Blood Scholar -

"One does not deviate from the Path of Life, rather, one forges a new more direct route to it."

I have minimal plugin experience, basically I can install most. However writing a plugin myself would take years D:

On a side note, I agree with Ruu. If you stall the release for anything more then a week of what was planned don't expect your server to strive. Though having a server setup perfectly with plugins and what not is great, however delays like this kill pre-public servers. A suggestion to you from me, which means practically nothing :D , is to see what plugins you can cut out and work with what will take the least time to setup.

So, I'll skype you guys sometime when convenient for you (message me on skype) so we can talk about it but right now, my coding knowledge is pretty good... I can edit and add to previous plugins as well as install/ uninstall merge plugins. As I stated before I will be learning how to code them from scratch from now on so if the server has a Beta then I can work stuff out while it gets established.

Renon is just going to wander around making allies to be honest. Never to join any specific allegiance or faction, he will be a pendulum of power keeping time with every swing, and yet he is has no underlying purpose.
