    On February 25, 2015, the Grand Spencorian Empire officially seceded from Halentra



    It is truly a sad to such a thing happen. Yet certain things must happen for the good of both parties. We will definitely keep in touch and continue to remain friends. I will profoundly remember the few but great memories we have made on the server and other diplomatic work. Both you and I have been in dis-agreement before but I believe like you said, lets start a new chapter yet not forgetting what we have read in the past. Also I would like both GsE and HLE to continue to remain close and bond our alliance even better in the near future.

    So, you're looking for advice about how to format your clan thread? Or perhaps you'd like to optimise your existing thread to garner more views? In this guide we will cover the very basics of creating a clear and well presented clan thread.

    The aim of a clan thread is to entice players to join your community. To do this, we have to start from the very beginning:

    Your thread title is important

    The title of your thread is incredibly important in attracting people to your topic. Here are a list of ways to clearly format your titles:

      • Always include the name of your clan in your title
        • Threads which do not have the clan name in the topic title often look messy and unprofessional.




    • Include key details about your clan in the title, using [Tags]

    • Does your clan have a ranking system? If so, put in the title [Ranks] Maybe you have specific jobs for members, in this case add [Jobs] to the title. Perhaps your clan is geared towards PVP? Add [PVP] to the topic title. If you often run building contests, add [Contests] to the title.
    Good titles:

    Titles which clearly display the clan name and the clan features.


    • The Knights of Deftopia [Ranks] [Jobs] [PVP]

    • [Building Team] The Knights of Deftopia [Contests]

    • The Knights of Deftopia [RP] [Jobs] [Ranks] [Events]
    Bad titles:

    Titles which are unclear, messy and undescriptive.

    Now for your threads contents...

    The contents of your thread should be inviting, clear and descriptive

    The layout and look of your thread is equally as important as your thread titles. Let's list a few things which will help your clan thread stand out and shine:

      • Imagery
        • Having either a banner, logo or some form of image at the top of your thread is a big plus. This will be the first thing potential members see and are drawn towards. Images and videos elsewhere in the thread will help a lot too.

      • Introduce your clan
        • A short (or long if you prefer) introduction is important to explain exactly what your clan is all about. If you're focussed on PVP and fighting stuff, make this clear in your opening text. If you're more geared towards co-operative building, add this within your introduction.

      • List your clans features
        • Do you have a list of jobs that your clan has? If so, this would be a good time to list them. Similarly, if you have a list of member ranks, put them beneath your intro.

      • Rules
        • Being clear about your clan rules is incredibly important. Display them somewhere in your thread, or you may find people just do what they want.
        • Provide an application form
          • The best way to invite players into your clan is to provide them with a list of questions to answer. This helps them know you're serious and helps you know who may soon be a part of your clan.

        Keep the text formatting simple and clean
        Format your threads nicely, but don't overuse bold, underline, excessively large fonts or a crazy amount of colors. Threads which over use text formatting can look messy and amateur. Threads which over use text formatting can look messy and amateur.

    You are doing a great job leading your empire my friend. Cant wait to see what it will be like in a month because your nation keeps growing and grows at a constant rate. Also cant wait to see what both yours and the clan I govern in will do together in the time to come.
