    I finished Obsolete, so these SHOULD be ALL the screenshots of the ruins that come with the mod. They are all in alphabetical order. Let me know if I missed any or if you have any questions.

    :3 Nice shots. Are you going to do Jordans and Gilly's as well?

    I can try and give it a whirl, maybe after this weekend. It didn't take me nearly as long as I thought it would. Do they already have screenshots of their ruins?

    I went through and screencapped all of the ruins that come with the mod. This album is only for the ruins: generic folder, since it's pretty much the folder that the mod pulls from first. Let me know if the images suck, or the album sucks. This was my first time uploading to imgur, and I used imgur's editor to add words onto the pictures....that may or may not have been the best idea Lol. Anyway lemme know what you guys think and if i should upload the rest!

    Well, I uploaded a few more pictures anyway. The obsolete folder will take a little more time.

    Is the rule amount and the error related? I had gotten the same error message on another structure(one with only 40 rules), but I thought maybe I had fixed it by just deleting item frames in the smaller structure, but I guess not since I'm getting this error even without item frames in the larger.

    well, my bad. I knew from the error that it HAD to be associated with signs, but I thought by removing the item blocks that would fix it. I pretty much tore the entire structure apart trying to figure out what was throwing the error. And then I saw it, on the second floor, I had used stupid signs on wood stairs to create a couch. I had completely missed those signs, and once I removed them, then the parser worked and I no longer got any errors. Sometimes it really is the simplest and dumbest things >.>

    Sorry for the late replies, but I've been off lately because of school and an overall busy schedule. I'll be posting more often now, and I've still been working hard.

    we love you!

    I don't think there's a size limit per se, but I think some of the more accomplished ruin creators have said that as a file gets bigger and more complex it gets more likely to choke somewhere (although that's partly to do with errors on the builder's part, the ruins mod itself, and minecraft/forge's event handling and how much can happen during worldgen (ruins gen seems to be post world-gen)

    The work around is to do smaller builds as a group that you group together using adjoining_template - for example, in Gilly's collection there is the GillyCityAdobe.tml file in the desert folder that is the simplest ruin structure possible:
    rule1=0,100,preserveBlock

    layer
    1
    endlayer
    but it also has a bunch of adjoining_templates:
    adjoining_template=Gilly/GillyAC1;-46;15;-4;100
    # .. (like 16 of GillyAC1 and then 10 or so of AT1) adjoining_template=Gilly/GillyAT1;40;15;15;100
    ..
    adjoining_template=Gilly/GillyAT1;-15;15;-40;100
    and that's how you get around having to make one huge big template. The adjoining_template directive is documented in template_rules.txt which came with the mod, but I've been working on an online formatted version here
    [/indent]
    I will certainly try and see if that fixes the problem. Ive no idea if it's correlated, but it seems when I get between the 80th and 90th rule of the structure I'm trying to parse, it simply doesn't do anything. The error I receive looks like this:

    Put you[01:04:37] [Thread-162/INFO] [STDERR/]: [java.lang.Throwable$WrappedPrintStream:println:748]: java.lang.NullPointerException
    [01:04:37] [Thread-162/INFO] [STDERR/]: [java.lang.Throwable$WrappedPrintStream:println:748]: at atomicstryker.ruins.common.World2TemplateParser.convertSignStrings(World2TemplateParser.java:411)
    [01:04:37] [Thread-162/INFO] [STDERR/]: [java.lang.Throwable$WrappedPrintStream:println:748]: at atomicstryker.ruins.common.World2TemplateParser.readBlocks(World2TemplateParser.java:364)

    Is there a way to export .schematic or convert .schematic for this mod easily? I would love if I could just fill the world with random buildings ;3 And what is the size limit of a ruin?

    I've read through the thread, and maybe I missed it but I also have this question. is there a size limit? i've browsed through the templates included in the mod and they all tend to vary in sizes, but is there such a thing as too big? I'm going through an old world of mine, and i can easily save the smaller structures as templates but for some reason it isn't recognizing me breaking the block to save the template of one of the bigger structures. am i doing something wrong?

    I've had it running on a server for a while. Make extra sure you've got the right files on both the client and the server, I guess? If you need more help than that, I'd suggest posting some log files from both the server and the client (in a pastebin or in spoiler tags, whichever makes more sense) and we'll go from there.

    Sooner or later, I'm gonna get the hang of this mods stuff. You mentioned server and client, and I had a doh! moment. I forgot that some mods need to be in both the client AND the server >.> Thanks for your help!!

    I'm in love with this mod along with "yet another food mod". i have everything upgraded to the proper versions, and it works beautifully on single player but for some reason the forge server will not recognize the airbreathercore. Is this something I'm doing wrong, or is it simply incompatible with the forge server?
