Player.dat is placed in the pocket edition build directory.
The player.dat link is from v.0.1.3 but I don't know why player.dat wasn't included with 2.0+. Anyway the file should work with all v2 to 2.2 PE builds missing this file.
You will need a test version of MCedit. I used V.289.
Before you will be able to open the PE save you will need to have a player.dat or you will get an error saying that your world is completely empty 0_o
You can download the MCEDIT you will need here and the player.dat file here.
This build was made during 1.8, it is all a legitimate map; it took me awhile; I moved a massive mountain and terraformed the land around it.
The nearby village (Brown-Town) is located east of Yotomaya stronghold. It is complete with city walls, underground passageways, and a harbor. I am working on three bridges that will connect these two projects. (screenshot below)
Aside from just being a town, Brown-Town would be really cool to see "theme based" ruins. Like temples of fire or water with fountains of magma, ritual rooms or waterfalls. Lately, I prospected a 200x200 area in water for a future project. (A cricle with two iner rings centered inside each other.) WIP
Also, Minecraft is looking impressive with the new light engine, yet i am annoyed when I build underground, the glowstone isn't bright enough to light a more than 15 blocks.
I desire to play alone in single player and will remain here alone for my own unique experiences. Words cannot express the things I have seen while exploring this world (seed: NPC).
GOALS:
1: Complete bridge from NE Yotomaya to NW Browntown
2: make a fully automatic wheat farm + 2 windmills.
3: Finish houses of Brown-Town (15/50)
4: Complete 200x200 three circle ring. (circular object @ bottom of screenshot.)
Below is a beggarly screenshot. I WILL and add better pics; until then critiques and criticism are welcome. But frick, just to see this makes me hyped again.

seems like it will just go on forever.
Here kind "Creative" but here goes ann Aprox volume:
"the cubed root of 77,000 individual blocks of stronghold materials:
" { Stone Brick=66,500 , Wooden 1500 Plank,:Iron: 4000 Iron, & Glass}"
I figure:
3√77,000 = (43L x 43W x43H) SOLID CUBE BLOCK
and 32,768 blocks = ONE CHUNK
sSsooo... 77,000/32,768 = 3.5 Minecraft Chunks w/.%50 Percent air {WaterLvl:64}
