Well, the tongs are actually one of the models that currently aren't all that bad in my opinion. I'm not saying your models are bad either, because they aren't. (But I've explained this earlier :) ) But ye, I see that the tongs might be hard to texture with the current faces, seems like a pretty intricate job to work on according to how you modeled it. I had a crash when I first tried the mod, and right clicked the ground with a clay pot containing something (I can't remember what).

To be able to use this mod, with the one linked above would be awesome. More realistic mining and forging would truly change the world of MC. :D Not sure if they're copatible atm, but I'll have a look myself and test around.

Still wondering if it's possible to remove or edit custom biomes, I've added some which is no-longer in use, and I would love to be able to change the ids / delete them. I'm also wondering if it's possible to make the deepsnow layer ontop of the rock, instead of going into it. It kinda ruins mountains, as you will often have 1 block spikes of rock sticking out within the deep snow. Example is if you dig the snow, it would look like this |_| |_| where as the middle section represents 3 blocks high stone pillar, and the space inbetween the removed snow.

I'm also wondering if it's possible to make the mesa layers go all the way through, by that I mean. Instead of just being a cover over the stone, it would make the mesa into slices, like it's supposed to be. If needed I could get pictures from my project to show what I mean.

On the other hand, with no connection to what this post mentions earlier, I wonder if anyone has any good canyon / mountain brushes or bo2's for that sake. Got a quite a library already, but always looking for more, if anyone is willing to share :). (already downloaded what you've shared Lentebresje, atleast on pmc(If I'm not mistaken.)

Quoting myself here to get the question out, anyone?

Do you by any chance see what mod causes this error in my modlist? I have no idea to figure it out in this mess of a log, usually it's easier :S.

Please make a seperate version if you're intending to add engines. Currently running a fantasy / medieval setup. And engines would just be there to tease people, would love to see some sort of sail (not made by blocks), that were animated in some sort of fashion.

I'm going to be leaving it as it is for the time being. It'd be a lot of work on my end and I haven't really got the time.

    I apologize for the inconvenience.

I guess it's on either of us anyways, I'll start doing some SMP's revival retextures then. Oh, and would it ever be possible to control where you find certain ores more commonly? By that I mean, say I want gold to mainly be found in jungle biomes, aswell as mountain biomes. Would that be possible? I know CoG got some settings for biomes in default, but I've never found a way to edit these myself. Any advice / help?

Ah, that's an idea. I'd have to write a two-pass renderer for it, like I did the unstable stone. (There's also a minor graphical problem that way too, in that the block-break particles are incorrect and usually transparent; you can see the effect mining the stone...or rather not-see the particles).

Ye, saw that when I mined the cracked rock. However, I'd rather have this issue than the other way around myself. But that is just my opinion, do what you find best. But if you intend to keep it the way it is, I would like to know. Because I would like to start retexturing them to fit now then. But if it's changed, that might be a lot of work for nothing :P.

I mean I would rather have all your weapons like how you modeled that axe for example, instead of 3D models. Maybe a secondary download. What I mean is instead of single colored tongs, you could have pixelated textures, and for the weapons which are 3D you could have a version true to the flat / pixel weapons of minecraft. I wish I could show you some pictures / use maybe IM(skype, etc), because your mod looks really in-depth and good, and I would love to use it on my server one day. Could also possibly do some texture work if you're interested, Pm me.

    They actually aren't overlays.

    https://github.com/Draco18s/HarderStuff/tree/master/main/resources/assets/ores/textures/blocks (old repo is old)

The real problem is that there's no good way to make it so that it works with texuturepacks. The first problem is that I can't specify one texture file as the color and a separate texture as its alpha (e.g. taking the texturepack's stone and combining it with a mask to create an overlay). The second problem is the ore "dots." If a texture pack changes their position/quantity/shape/whatever now the mask is wrong.

I'm sure I've seen this been done before, I remember some mod I had taken the stone textures from the RP that I used, and simply overlayed its ''ore dots''. I can see why it could be a problem since your dots change, but couldn't the overlay simply change for each time you mined the block? or is it that, that you say is not possible.

I could always make a resourcepack adaption for this pack myself. But you got so many different varations of your ores / cracks, etc. But I really dunno where to start. (currently using SMP's revival, and I've made it copatible with many mods so far :), thou I've never shared most.)

However, if you're interested in models / potentially textures I could be to assistance. PM me if you're interested.

    Edit: 500th post :D!

You wouldn't consider keeping the artstyle of the weapons / tools / anvils more true to the minecraft, style? Like the heating slab in your image, that adjusts after textures it seems. Mod looks great anyways, just wondering if my above questions could be done, since it currently breaks quite badly with the current artstyle of the game. love your concept!

Could you possibly make your ores texturepack copatible? atleast the ones using vanilla textures with a overlay, this would be great for resourcepack copatability. And easier tailoring of the mod into modpacks. Would love to see the unstable / cracked rocks as a overlay on resourcepack stone textures aswell.

I am so impressed by your ore distribution changes / gameplay that I'm overjoyed! Been looking for exactly this for ages, the way you explain it with COG etc is exactly how I've felt with those, ty for making such a great mod :D!
