I think texture pack authors should finish their pack first before starting on mods but that's just me.

What's left, other than a few particles? He's already started plenty of mod support. Why not add one of the most popular? I think it's a good idea, but that's just me.

Well, you see, you were trying to do pixel art with a vectorized image. There's your problem.

Aether Pre release has just release, will you support it?

It's already supported, with the exception of maybe 2 new blocks and 2 new items. (and a few old items and the mobs that he never got around to finishing)

I'd hate to be one of those people, but do you have any plan to add support for the Aether mod since it just got updated to 1.2.5 today? I just picked it up again and switching back to the default texture pack feels a bit weird after using this for so long. I must say, it would be interesting to see how your dark rpg take would look with it.

Any solution to my non-jiggly wiggly slimes problem?

Do you have any other mods that modify slimes in some way? Same problem happened to me with the zombie animations because something was conflicting. If you installed it right and there are no conflicts, it should work. Are you using a texture pack? Does the slime mob in the pack have the inside bit textured or no? If no, then obviously it won't show.

Can there be a way to control how often it plays a music file? One thing I really enjoy about the xbox 360 version is the nearly constant music. I'd like to recreate that on the PC.

Pretty good idea, but couldn't you basically do this already by just swapping out the .ogg files in resources?

If I'm not mistaken, if you do that then Minecraft would re-download the originals.

^^ that's actually a better idea. It could require lava buckets as the fuel in a furnace with iron ore (or ingots?) as the material and have a longer smelting time than regular iron.

    Oh. I have an idea.

    1) Put in the howling sounds
    2) Make it so that they have animations when they howl

That is, add howling in this mod.

I think that would require some more extensive editing of the actual wolf mob and behavior, which would cause incompatibilities with other mods. Kodaichi said he wanted to keep these mods as basic as possible to maximize compatibility. That's not to say that other mods that modify wolves can't try to do it though..

This sounds like a perfect solution to the gap between iron and diamond, with one major exception; steel shouldn't be an ore. You should either change the item sprites, the ore texture, and the name of the items to something completely different or change the way it's acquired. Actual steel is usually made by combining iron and carbon. A logical Minecraft way to do this would be either combine iron with coal in a crafting table or re-smelt iron ingots into steel, which would act as tempering. I'm gonna watch this topic for now, though. This looks very promising.

Howling wolves would be a pretty sweet animation. That is, if the current howling sounds actually get put into the game at some point. (oh yes, they're there.)

On topic; my current world rains very often, too. It seems every 2 or 3 in-game days gets rainfall but I've yet to have any thunder or lightning (not that thunder can even be heard in the 360 version. That's a whole 'nother topic). To escape it, I usually just go mining and sleep as soon as the sun hits the horizon to advance to day and skip it.
