    I assume it's some kind of memory leak, as the memory usage increases to about 1G over the span of 20 minutes, then maxing out and crashing Minecraft.

    I haven't had these problems with any other versions of OptiFine, and it's happened with both of the previews, A1 and A2.
    Nothing else has changed from 1.2.5, same Java version, all that. All that's changed is OptiFine.

    Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.


    I think I'm getting memory leaks as well. The game suffers some serious lag spikes after some minutes of play for me. Upon checking my RAM usage, it gets maxed out until closing Minecraft. (I have 4gigs)

    Yes they updated to 1.2.5 in a pre-release version.
    They also posted a short guide on how to install it on your Mac. Everything is on their facebook page, there's no reason to come to the forum for anything.

    I would seriously hope so. If I remember correctly, one of the biggest issues with the PC release of 1.8 was that animals didn't despawn and didn't respawn, meaning that once they got killed for their meat they were gone for good. (with the occasional ultra rare spawn of an animal in an empty chunk). Given the map size limitation of the 360 version, I could see complete extinction of animals if breeding isn't brought forward into the 1.8 update. That could be a serious problem. You can survive on bread but it isn't nearly as effective as meat.

    The problem with that image is how thin and undefined the features become as the image gets smaller. Pixelating it in a small resolution would be difficult. It would need to be a massive structure.

    The problem is, the checkered background on the other files isn't obstructing anything that needs to be rendered. The game can't differentiate where the item ends and where the "background" begins. There are no layers in that image and anything that's within the square tile will get rendered. So no, it isn't transparent.
