The game is evolving! This is epic. I love where Minecraft is going. Everything is still in place but major things keep getting added.
Haters gonna hate, Minecraft is maturing into a full game.

They're not weird noises if you have a Mac and/or Tweetdeck. -

Worst idea ever." then another person will say "It's not being replaced, just renamed with more features." then another person says "Why is survival being replaced? Worst idea ever."Posted in: News
That's this whole thread in a nutshell. -
Aug 28, 2011xcadaverx posted a message on PAX - 1.8 Game Features! The adventure update is taking the current "survival" and adding more incentive for exploring. It's not replacing anything, only building upon the current survival game play aspects. Kids need to calm down about survival being replaced.Posted in: News

It's a broken spawn mechanic. The only difference with this Xbox 1.8 and the PC 1.8 is that on the PC animals would spawn but would always be crowded in some random nook that's hard to find or stranded out in open areas of water. I've created a few worlds on my Xbox now and animals just aren't spawning often at all, other than the massive hordes of wolves. There is no case of "wander around, you'll see some new animals eventually.", there are barely any initial animals to begin with. As suggested before in other threads; kill all wolves you see and clear all tall grass you see. That should get some spawning eventually.

No, it is a bug. This was present back in the day on the PC as well. Natural wolves don't have the same spawn mechanics as other passive mobs, so the same rules don't apply to them. This causes them to severely overpopulate. They are not persistent unless tamed. Killing any and all wolves that spawn will increase the likelihood of something useful spawning and once they do, they'll stay until killed.

What's there to whine about saddles? They've been in the game forever and are instant hilarity in multiplayer. They weren't incomplete, they served their purpose. Put a saddle on a pig IRL and see what happens. Endermen dropping a useless ball is a different story.

Those are some strong words for just a video game.
And they will have a redeeming value. The Ender Pearls they drop will allow you to teleport when you throw them, once it's implemented that is.

Also note that in the 1.8 release on the PC, Endermen worked fine in single player but were severely bugged in multiplayer as they wouldn't aggro when the player moused over them unless it was at a precise spot above their head, where the 'hitbox' was miscoded. For a few releases after, their jaws didn't open in multiplayer but did in single player. I believe that's fixed now, but broken on the Xbox release, most likely due to the singleplayer/multiplayer merge. Also note that Ender Pearls initially did nothing until some user suggestion on reddit convinced Notch or Jeb at the time to have the pearls teleport the player when thrown. Since the xbox version is mostly just a port, they didn't pull it forward. Though, I really think they should have. Another bug with the Xbox version is that Endermen don't make their teleporting sounds most of the time, they'll just disappear with no noise.
Their damage done/taken is the same as the PC introduction of the mob. The community whined and moaned for the longest time and Endermen got nerfed and buffed over and over again until the point they are at now on the current PC version. The current Xbox Endermen are severely underpowered in comparison.
