posted a message on [Tool][Minecraft 1.12] RecipeCraft - Custom Recipe Maker for Minecraft 1.12+

    RecipeCraft:

In the Minecraft Snapshots for 1.12, Mojang introduced a new recipe format, which allows for the creation of custom recipes, however it's a bit annoying to do, so I made a tool to help you do it much more seamlessly.

    Usage:

I've made a tutorial on how to use this mod, I didn't have my mic when I was making it though so I typed out the tutorial in notepad (just like the good old days) Warning: It's pretty lengthy and very wordy

    Download:

    RecipeCraft 1.0.0 Installer

    Notes:

This program only works with singleplayer currently, if I figure out how to get it working in multiplayer, I will add an updated version.

I made this program over the course of a few days mostly for my own use, but I liked it so much that I decided to release it for others, if you find any bugs you can report them in the comments here or open an issue up on the github page feedback is also more than welcome and if you have suggestions I'd love to hear those as well, but I can't promise I'll implement any of them as this was mostly just a pet project.

ya... but he dont have time to work on the mod so i think he wont fix that ):

It's true I haven't had any time lately, but I should have some time this week to sit down and just get some stuff done, if I have enough time, I'll sit down and try and fix this mod, I know a lot of people do like it and I really do want to get it working properly, no promises though, I'll do it if I can find the time.

I dont really understand how this is working, I think the forum is automatically appending my messages to my last one, so I guess that works.

Edit: Looks like it didn't this time. I'm confused.

Recipes should already be unique per world. However, i still haven't been able to actually make them save on 2.3.0. Maybe i should try downgrading to an earlier version.

All of the old versions (minus the 2.0+ versions listen on my github) were lost, the source code is still available for the old 1.0, but i dont recommend using it. I don't know whats causing the bug where recipes aren't working, in all of my testing it works perfectly.

I am running mods; my mod list is as follows

    Put your spoiler here.

    Player API

    Damage Indicators

    Bibliocraft

    Bibliowoods

    Coro Weather Mod

    Twilight Forest

    Witchery

    Biomes O' Plenty

    Fastcraft

    Dynamic Lighting

    Gravestones

    Tinker's Construct

    Hopper Ducts

    Smart Moving

    Enchanting Plus

Some of the mods i'm running have really cool items unavailable in survival, and your mod seems like it'd be a perfect fix instead of having to figure out how to use command blocks to make the custom crafting.

    Plz help!

You need to upgrade your Java to the latest version.
Since I can't seem to edit my last post without destroying the formatting I'll just make a new one here, this mod uses features from java 1.7 so you need need at least java 1.7 to run it, that said if possible you should update to the newest version (which of the time of posting this I believe is 1.8.25)

Hey everyone, thanks for the support, now I guess I should be honest here, I've not really done anything with this mod in a while now, I just can't seem to bring myself to work on it at the moment, and now I'm going to be busy with another project for some time and I just don't see me getting the time to fix all of the bugs in the mod as it is. This isn't to say I'm never going to work on this mod again, but as of right now, I don't know when I'll get time to work on it. That said this mod is open source and anyone is allowed to download said source and do what they like with it, so if you enjoy this mod and you have some programming skills, I welcome you to work on it yourself. All this said, if I do get some time and I can figure out what's causing all these bugs, I will most definitely fix them and put out an official release. Once again thanks for all the support.

Yeah I haven't been around in a while, been spending a lot of time with the family for the holidays, probably won't be much going on until after the new year, that said even then the mod is pretty close to an actual stable release, it seems like there are still some bugs to fix, but I can't think of anymore features to add at the moment, of course if theres any good suggestions that I feel fit the theme and wouldn't be too difficult to implement, I will try implementing them, really all that's left though is to clean up some of the code, squash a bug or two, and clean up the UIs, then I'll probably be done with the mod (although I'll work on updating to 1.8 once there's a good stable and verified forge version). As for the mod list thing, I've submitted this mod 3 times now, and it was never added so I've given up on that.

Sorry I haven't been around, I don't get on the computer much during the week, as for the bug you've mentioned, there's not much I can do without any sort of error log, as I can't know what's wrong without one. If you can post some log info maybe I can help.

It really depends on the type of processor and if it has integrated or dedicated graphics.

i created the recipes in a creative test world, thats the world i've been trying it on. what do you mean by where i have my minecraft installed? it went into the %appdata%/roaming/.minecraft folder on my pc

If you have a custom minecraft save location it could break the recipe saving, due to not having permission to write in the folder, but in the .minecraft folder it should be fine. I can't imagine why the recipes wouldn't be saving, do you think you could post the log from the game? You can find it in .minecraft/logs/latest.log it's just a text file.

ok thanks, i'll give it a try now. you may want to update your op a bit as it says 1.1.0 is your newest release but i just got 2.3.0 off your github page

nah the recipes are still not saving. love the new gui though, easy to use an looks good

If the recipes still aren't saving it could be a problem with where your minecraft is installed, note that the recipes are per world now and will only work on the world you create them on.

i'm using version 1.1.0, mods are near on 100 but i'm using pink slimes from primitive mobs, blue slimes from more mobs mod and the wheel from mc+ plus vanilla sticks and the different slimes to make jelly from the jelly cubes mod. i'm using windows 8.1 64 bit, 64 bit java, 1.4ghz processor, 4+4gb ram (dedicated 4gb to minecraft)

There is a known bug with 1.1.0 where sometimes recipes won't save when you have a lot of mods installed, this has been fixed in the new beta version, which I'd suggest swapping to. I'm about at the point where I will no longer support versions 1.x.

I can't seem to get the mod to work. I've used it before with no problem, but when I'm downloading it now, it's like the mod doesn't even register. I'm not sure if I'm downloading/installing it correctly? I'm clicking download ZIP on github and tried putting the zip in, the folder inside the zip, the folders inside that folder, but I can't get it to work :/

What you need to do, is go onto the github and go to releases, and click the download there, the download zip is downloaded the source code for the mod, and not the actual release.
