But seriously, like many others said, this game is made solely for your entertainment. If its too hard, then /peaceful/ is the way to go. If /hard/ is too easy, then get some good mods, like Hunger or Mob-adding mods...
And don't even start about SMP, thats not working right yet...
Components:
FastRender: more efficient chunk queue processing.
UniText: a completely rewritten text renderer. It's faster and supports Unicode, although the Unicode font files are not included with this release.
Fewer glClears: erasing the entire screen is expensive. This mod avoids it when possible.
Better chunk drawing code: Removing a few useless transforms from the chunk rendering code lets all visible chunks be drawn in a straightforward manner.
Better Tesselation: Modified for speed. TNT explosions no longer cause clients to have horrible lag, and everything in general should feel faster.
Error handling: Don't go to a black screen when there's an OpenGL error. Print a decent error message to the command line instead.
I install it, none of these things happen. Is there anything I'm doing wrong?
EASIEST WAY: Delete either the version file (in the bin folder; if that doesn't work, delete everything except the Minecraft executable/jar file you use to play) and it should update itself; if using AnjoCaido's optional/cracked update launcher, then just click "Force Update" and play.
Then you will have a vanilla version of Minecraft again, but you will have to reinstall all your mods if you want them back, and any worlds that have blocks, items, entities, etc. in them that are from the mobs WILL crash, and you will have to make a new world to do so (well, not really, if you use the same seed.
sorry for long discussion, but that is the ONLY way as far as I am concerned. Hope that helps!!
