Why do you want to join this server?: Based on the information in the OP, it seems like something I would like to be a part of. I'm struggling to find a server where I can really just "feel at home". Most of them seem thrown together, no-one ever gets on or talks to each other, and theres no real sense of community or multiplayer. Hopefully I'm putting my faith in the right place this time.
Tell me a little bit about yourself: I've been using computers pretty much since I was able to walk. I'm really interested in anything related to technology, and I've built a few of my own computer systems and learned a few programming languages, and hope to learn more. As far as Minecraft goes, I've been playing since beta 1.8.3 on Xbox (so maybe 5 years or so) and migrated to the PC version around 1.6. I've had points in between where I wouldn't play, mainly due to life responsibilities taking over or simply lost interest, but I'm hoping to be able to stick around this time and create some awesome stuff and interact with others.
Do you have any problem hearing swearing/profanity?: Not really, as long as its use serves a purpose other than just to annoy others or myself.
Have you read the rules and do you agree to them?: I have/do agree.

Anything you wish to add?: My favorite mob would probably have to be the Cow, simply because steak is the best food in the game that can easily be farmed and keeps me mining and exploring instead of thrashing wheat and potatoes for sustenance. Also, what version is the server currently running on? Is it snapshots or only main releases.
How often can you play?: On an average week, maybe 4 or 5 days a week. Depends on work schedule, but I make time for fun.

Fun addition: Well, I'm pretty helpful when it comes to lending materials or helping others build. I tend to always have a ridiculous amount of resources and live in the side of a mountain, and I enjoy making small scale redstone farms/contraptions to automate things.

Past server experience: I've played on a few servers back in the day, getting back into Minecraft recently. I've run a few servers myself but due to life changes I wasnt able to keep up with it. First of all, the server is going to be heavily based around the players who make it up. You can play solo, but its encouraged to team up with or atleast help each other with community builds, as it enhances the experience of Minecraft SMP, and your level of engagement and fun overall. Secondly, the plugins I've introduced to the server are not completely unique. A lot of them are going to be things you may have seen before (Jobs, McMMO, Essentials, etc.), as well as a few different cherry-picked plugins. I wouldn't say it doesnt alter the experience, nor that it is completely vanilla, but the plugins are to enhance the gameplay, protect belongings and builds (via Grief Prevention self-serve claims), and create more goals to achieve than build a huge base and fill up a double-wide chest with golden apples. Last but not least, I want everyone to have fun. That doesnt necessarily mean taking advantage of bugs or cheats to get ahead. What it does mean is that if you utilize all the different plugins and immerse yourself into the community, you will be part of something that many people have searched for in many SMP servers without luck.
To move on, I have most of the plugins/features that I feel are necessary or worthy of adding, and I've done some testing, but I'd rather be a bit cautious than assume everything is working perfectly. That is why I'm calling out to you, the Minecraft Forum community, to help test the features and the overall experience of the server before it is officially released. The server is not whitelisted, but I would like to have a conversation with anyone who is interested in the server beforehand, to make sure you're the kind of person I'm looking for.
It is required that you have/create a Discord account, and I would prefer if you have a mic that you use it as it will enhance your experience as well as everyone else involved, especially as we grow and take more people in. Notes: The server is currently in the "beta-testing" phase. This may mean that some of the plugins or permissions have some features that do not work. That is the point of the testing; to make sure everything is in working condition and ready for the masses. You will be playing on the server as normal, utilizing the plugins as you normally would and reporting any errors or findings you may have. Once the beta-testing phase is over, the map will be reset to a different speed, and any player achievements, inventory, and progress will be cleared. Do not build or do anything you're not willing to lose, as the beta phase is solely for testing purposes.
In addition to this, I know someone or many of you are going to ask and I want to address this up front. I am not offering staff positions currently. I've been on too many servers with abusive and/or immature , and in some cases unhelpful, staff and that is the opposite of what I'm looking for. If you are helpful to myself and the community, and show potential, you may be promoted as a helper, which is the lowest tier of staff, and you can only be promoted from the bottom up, so no strangers will be taking the reins in the future without proving themselves.

So I know this an odd request, but I'm looking for someone who is really good at building from nothing to teach me some building techniques on how to make builds come to life. I really enjoy Minecraft but it's very frustrating for me to see other people build amazing structures and houses and what not. They seem so simple but then when i try to build something good, it never quite comes out the way I see it in my mind. I think its because I've never really spent too much time practicing in creative... Anyways, if anyone would be willing to help me, I would truly appreciate it. I'm not really asking anyone to build like a whole town or anything for me xD just sort of help me out and teach me how to make really cool houses and stuff.

you! Personally, I’m tired of joining servers just to get bored or
have it reset 10 times in a month. I’m fed up with servers that
either have little to no plugins at all, or have so many I can’t
even count them. Last but not least, I just want to play the game and
not have to worry about my stuff getting stolen, my builds getting
griefed, or my entire creations deleted with a map reset. These are
only a few of the many reasons I decided to create PugLife MC.
Before we go any further, let me introduce myself! My name is
Leo. I am 20 years old, and I enjoy video games, messing with
computers, and meeting new people. My favorite thing to do in
Minecraft would probably be building XP farms or messing with
Redstone, and my least favorite would have to be falling into Lava,
which I’m sure some of you can relate to I am the sole owner of
PugLife MC and I have created this server based on the way I want to
play Minecraft. So many server owners’ spend their time and money
building their servers based on what they believe others will like.
For that same reason, I believe that most servers will either fail or
the creators will get tired of them and leave. I will not say that
this is HermitCraft-like, nor will I say that this is unlike anything
you’ve ever seen before. I will, however, tell you that this is
PugLife MC, and I really hope to share the experience with you!
- No griefing or stealing. Unless you can prove it was an
accident and are willing to make it up, you will be banned forever if
found guilty of either of these.
- No racist, sexist, or otherwise harmful remarks. You will be
given a warning, after which if you continue to use such language,
you will be banned.
- No advertising other servers in-game or in Discord. You will be
banned if you are caught, and honestly don’t even join if this is
your main purpose.
- Ask before building any large Redstone contraptions that may affect the server in terms of lag. You won’t be banned for this,
but if you do not ask and there are complaints of lag, you will be
told to take it down. If you don’t, then further action will be
taken.
- Do not ask for staff positions. If you ask, you shall not
receive. The best way to become a staff member on PugLife MC is to
play the game as you normally would, as well as be active, both
in-game and as part of the community.
- These rules are subject to change. If they are changed, I will post a notice on Discord, and you will be responsible for reading such notice. For the most part, these are the golden rules. Common sense

I'm not normally one to ask for free stuff, because I know that time is valuable. However, if anyone is bored or has a very kind heart, or both... I would like to make a skin request.
I would like the overall skin to look like a Apricot Fawn colored Pug (breed of dog). If possible, I'd like to have the ears hang down to the side and the tongue slightly sticking out the bottom left. Also, the hands and feet would be paws (since it's a dog. Color would be black) and I'd like it shaded a bit so it looks nice.
If anyone out there has the time to make this for me, it'd truly be appreciated! There are a few pug skins I've found around the net but most of them are sort of.. not so great looking and I want to stand out.
