The wiki talks about how several of the 'Hardcore' features can be disabled in the mods config file, however the only thing listed in my mod_FCBetterThanWolves.cfg is this;
I'm not changing anything. It's not my fault if you can't read the tag lines. Also waiting on 1.4.3 official to update because I don't know if updating for modloader 1.4.2 would be worth the trouble with 1.4.3 out here very shortly.
This likely isn't a high priority, but there's an odd graphical bug which makes your armor invisible if you're wearing any SimpleOres armor - including if you have, for example, a Copper Helmet and an Iron Chestplate, they're not graphically shown as there, though you do have the defensive bonus (which is shown in the GUI). Even odder, if one has, for example, an Iron Chestplate and Copper Leggings, the leggings won't show - but the chestplate will. Again, they're still there for in-game calculations regarding damage and life, but graphically they're not shown.
Pardon, but when B3 or later is used with Better Than Wolves, the textures are switched around due to optifine using the vanilla texture sheet rather than Flowerchild's sheet(ie hemp seeds appear as helmets and wolf blocks appear as logs) I found that this was due to the way optifine retrieves textures, and wondered if there were anyway to continue using both.
Same issue. When using MagicLauncher I get these errors.

ModLoader 1.3.2
It seems that Optifine overwrites a Forge class that is actually needed by this mod though, which means that it does something funky in singleplayer, and whenever you try to load the world it just saves chunks and quits. They all work fine together in multiplayer though
Optifine has been comptiable with Forge since at least 1.1, which is prior to when you even created a Forge version. I've used all three together with no problems at all. There's just a simple order you have to follow;
Yeah I have reconsidered, as I noticed that Forge and Optifine also aren't compatible. If Forge/Optifine fix that for 1.3.1, then I will not have a Non-Forge version. Otherwise, I very well may keep it going.
What?
Forge & Optifine are comptiable, you just have to install the latter after the former.
I actually attempted copper doors, but failed quite badly. I created the door and everything was fine, except it was invisible and nothing I tried would make it show. So I gave up on the copper door.
What would have been the functional difference between an Iron and a Copper Door anyhow?

So what am I missing?

Does this mean it requires Modloader? e.g. do I install this directly into the .jar, or into Modloader's mods folder?

It's definitely worth it.

But you're the best continuation. I'd miss it.

4. Install SimpleOres.
