posted a message on What are the drop chances?(piglets)

Hi rottenflesh, here's a brief recap:

-Added useless bees, which will poison you if you mess with them.

-Renamed zombie pigman to zombified piglins, changing their sprite and absolutely nothing else.

-Added piglins, which occasionally give crossbows when killed, but more importantly will give you random items when given a piece of gold. They will attack you unless you wear one or more pieces of gold armor, and will attack when containers are opened near them. Here's a list of items they will give you in exchange for gold ingots:

posted a message on I can't keep up.

I'm sorry that I assumed you were capable, willing, and responsible enough to google. In all honesty, the reason I didn't respond with the link in my first post was because I assumed it would be easier for you to google a topic than it would be for me to google a topic, copy the link, and attach it through the minecraft forums.

That was a very draining post to make, and my ego feels weakened. I'm going to go watch ads until I feel better about myself.

In all seriousness, I'd like to believe that I'm less susceptible to the influences ads have on us. I've recently started to look away whenever an ad, even a 5 second one, comes onto youtube. Also, with natural human behavior not designed for us to fight, I'm not sure what you make of this: https://www.britannica.com/topic/list-of-wars-2031197. At this point, I'm afraid this has come to be more of an attack on you than a discussion of op's concern, so I'm going to mix some relevant information in.

-Netherite's least useful feature is the boost to actual direct defense and efficiency it has. A netherite pickaxe with efficiency 4 is slower than a diamond pickaxe with efficiency 5 (source is try mining with a haste 2 beacon efficiency 4 netherite pickaxe vs a haste 2 beacon diamond pickaxe efficiency 5).

-Piglins have many trades that are useful in bulk, but they are less dignified than villagers, and will throw a random item from their list when given a gold ingot. These drops include iron and obsidian, used to get a new nether portal if you're lost, enderpearls, fire resistance potions, leather, an enchantment which lets you move really fast on soul sand (faster than normal running speed on regular blocks), string, and assorted other useless things.

I wish you would actually google things instead of questioning people who have googled things until they crack and show you the google results.

    Proofs??

Also "only if you know what's going on" isn't a very effective way to help OP. I was once very confused by this game and a lot of it still confuses me.

Can confirm this happens to me too. TMC is always right about this stuff.

posted a message on I can't keep up.

Quick recap of everything since 1.12:

1.13: Added Tridents, which are like bows but inconvenient - added a bunch of structures that are useful in the early game, but are completely optional after that. If you see a weird zombie with a trident, run.

1.14: Villagers trade better now. They have to be near a bed and a workstation or they won't do much. They sell different things depending on what workstation is nearby. Here are the important trades:

-Fletchers sell arrows and buy sticks

    -Masons buy clay

    -Armorers sell diamond armor

    -Toolsmiths sell diamond tools

-Weaponsmiths sell diamond axes and swords

    -Clerics sell ender pearls, sometimes.

    -Farmers buy melons and pumpkins.

If you right click a zombie villager with a splash potion of weakness, then a golden apple, it gives you discounts on everything.

1.15: Added bees, which are useless to everyone except Mumbo Jumbo.

1.16: Nether is cool now. Warped Forest has lots of enderman, Crimson forest has piglins and hoglins, stay far away from the basalt deltas and soul sand vallies. There's gold there too, which is nice. Piglins give you stuff if you give them gold, wear gold boots in the nether. You can turn diamond stuff into netherite stuff with 4 ancient debris. The best y level for debris mining is Y = 15. Bed explosions get you lots of ancient debris. Always carry a fire resistance potion. There are bastions, which have lots of gold and nothing else useful.

1.17: It's not out yet, but it's a mountain update.

The new minecraft updates are way better, but only if you know what's going on.

posted a message on Wood, Stone, Gold, & Diamond Shears

The validity of this suggestion has changed a bit over the years, especially with 1.16's hoe overhaul. With silk touch hoes essentially replacing shears, we're left with only the use of shearing sheep (at least after the iron age). I think, as most people above me did as well, that getting wool without having to spend iron on it would be overpowered. Imagine if you could make anvils out of stone with less durability, it would just be overpowered and nobody would feel the need to use higher teirs.

posted a message on Is this a bastion? How would you approach exploring it?

Congratulations on the successful raid! However, their may be some loot you missed out on. Occasionally you will see this block, called chiseled polished blackstone.

Behind this block is a gold block, which the piglins will get mad if you break. You usually find these in the parts of the bastion that look like mines. Happy hunting!

posted a message on I just don't get Fortune on a book

Fortune is a very common struggle, but it makes alot of since considering minecraft has a ridiculous amount of enchantments. What I would recommend doing is to find a village and get a villager into a safe space where it cannot be killed by mobs. From there, place a lectern in front of the villager. It should become a librarian, and may sell an enchanted book. If this book is not fortune, break the lectern. This will cause the villager to become unemployed. Placing the lectern again will give the villager a different book to sell, and you can attempt this much faster than at an enchanting table. Once the villager sells the book, buy something from him or sell something to him. This will make it so he continues to be a librarian even after the lectern breaks.

But if Minecraft Multiplayer improves, people won't buy realms as much. They're not going to go out of their way to add in features that will make them less money.

You've heard that Mojang does not want to do the thing you are asking Mojang to do about 10 times now, and it clearly hasn't had much impact. By the way, the piglins are just going to turn into Zombified Piglins once they reach the overworld.

posted a message on Brand New Minecraft Realm! :)

We've recently got a new user called "Not_Today" who took some wither skulls out of a chest I was giving to sidewaysdeer and attempted to summon the wither in the spawn area. When I flew over to them to say hello, I saw that they immediately left the game and placed 4 soul sand in a T shape, and both wither skulls and soul sand was gone from the chest. I had renamed the skulls, so killing him would prove they were not his.

posted a message on Minecraft Java Realms is Down

This sounds like an entirely separate but equally troubling issue. I'm experiencing the same thing on all of my realms (I don't own them). It's troubling that mojang does this because there are people out there that pay for realms.

posted a message on TRIBE - a 10 man Realm focused on community - all ages welcome

Hello, I'm attempting to join your realm but I am having a strange issue. Windows (at least mine) comes with a free "demo" version of minecraft. Following your chain of links opens this "demo" minecraft, instead of my legitimate copy opened from the minecraft launcher. I tried uninstalling this "demo" minecraft, but the "Open Minecraft" link no longer does anything. If you could manually invite me to the realm, that would be appreciated. My IGN is TheWorfer27.

Edit: A server I did not think would respond to my application has responded, so I will no longer be joining this realm. Sorry for the confusion.

    Age: 16

    Minecraft Username: TheWorfer27

What you like to do in minecraft: A big fan of messing with villagers (trading halls, iron farms, breeders, etc). Generally go out of my way to check out distant structures like the woodland mansion, build farms that aren't taken, and occasionally do some building.

How active will you be: Corona's left me with way too much free time, can probably be on at least 6hrs a day
