Munchkin9 posted a message on My complaints about the newest updatesPosted in: 1.0 Update DiscussionIf you're going to defend the game without listening to logic, then you're a fanboy.
And you are attacking the game without logic. Okay so you say things should be fixed in a beta even as it is being made. So you would prefer it if Notch had never released this game until this November? Fair enough, I disagree, I enjoy playing it now even unfinished but its your opinion I wont argue with that.
You see you are complaining about things that you know nothing about. If you can do a better job then Notch go ahead. Designing and programming a game is very hard and time consuming work. I program as a hobby and know that I am completely incapable, as of yet, to match the skill of Notch, do you think you can? If you ever do attempt to program (please do I believe it is important for all gamers to try at least once in their lives) you will learn that bugs are some of the most strange and hard to catch problems within a game. They can lie dormant in a game for years then suddenly spring up for the strangest reasons. And finding them takes a long time and requires completely changing your perspective on what you were trying to do which is something that not everyone can do, easily at least.
Let me answer to certain specific things:
NPC Villages:
Notch plans to add a lot of functionality to these but as you have astutely noticed they are not implemented. Let me answer as best I can as to why this is: a bug in a game can sometimes spring up only for certain computer configurations, as to why that is...magic, no one truly knows or can account for it. And Mojang is not a big or rich enough to buy all possible computer configurations. So by releasing villages none functional Notch can get feedback from many different computers as to whether or not they work for individual systems as they are now. Then, knowing that this small addition works, he can add more. If he was to add everything at the same time it would take a lot longer and would be much harder to fix the bugs as it would be hard to figure out which addition caused the bug or crash. In the end this is to make it less aggravating for the consumers, you included.
Dungeons/Strongholds/etc:
As I tend to answer a lot to people like you: make a mod to fix this, it isn't all that hard if you look it up. These things are hard to balance as different people have different preferences: you would like them to be more common, some would prefer them even rarer. So Notch picks a rareness that makes sense to him, you can change it to something that makes sense to you as much as you want.
Useless features:
Same as the villages, too much additions at the same time can cause unforeseen problems that are hard to track down. It is smarter from a technical perspective to do it this way.
Pumpkin Seeds:
I don't know about this. I personally am willing to admit that I have not looked into this much. But same arguments of rarity as for the Dungeons and Strongholds apply. By the way: it is game breaking for you not having pumpkin seeds? You have been playing without them since pumpkins where added...
Endermen:
I am willing to admit Endermen feel like a missed opportunity. I hope that Notch will add more to them as development progresses. If nothing else though it adds another quirk to the world of Minecraft: I mean how many games have a being that gets angry and teleport-attacks you if you look directly at it.
About your disclaimer at the end: Seriously? You are basically saying you don't want anyone to argue with you, or at least that is how it comes across. I can only think of two reasons for this: you are afraid your arguments can not stand up to close inspection or you have no respect for the minds and opinions of other people. Either way why post these complaints then?
Again if you did not mean nobody could argue with you then I apologize, what you wrote makes it sound like that, perhaps you might wish to alter the wording slightly.
Thank you for listening with an open mind. I seek to have a productive conversation not a flame war.

If you're going to defend the game without listening to logic, then you're a fanboy. I even stated myself that I may have overused the phrase as well as used it improperly. My apologies. If you have an argument, then present it.
I read the post, looked at the title, I determine you're a troll. I feel no reason why anybody should validate that with any response, you're not going to listen to logic, you've as much as said so, you're an anti-fanboy which is just as bad, you assume any positive comment is a negative, there's no reason to speak on it.
Not listening to logic doesn't make you a fanboy, it makes you a fool.
I think YOU refuse to listen to logic, I'm fairly certain there could be no other purpose to this thread than to show that off.
This thread was to find people to agree with you, and those who disagree to make fun of, that's not what a forum is for. -

TheThirdPerson posted a message on My complaints about the newest updates"Pumpkin SeedsPosted in: 1.0 Update Discussion
This is more of a comedic complaint than anything, but an issue nonetheless. Dungeon items are way too ****ing rare. I played for an entire weekend straight and found no pumpkin seeds. Ridiculous, is it not? I sure think it is. The game is nearly unplayable because these features are being added, but are way to hard to find. Same with NPC villages and Strongholds. Don't give me the "they're supposed to be hard to find because they're rare!" ********. I won't accept that. That isn't an explanation, that's just blatant fanboyism."
This is pathetic. For one pumpkin seeds aren't in the game so it's impossible to find them. Two whats wrong with something being rare? Scared of a challenge? Stop complaining, get over it. -

SuaveyG posted a message on My Minecraft Forum experienceSo after replying to Gondile, I decided "Hey, what the hell, let's check out his thread." And that's when I encountered something that the Flood can't even hold a candle against. First I'll talk about my experience, then I'll talk about the many different posters in the forum game.Posted in: Forum Discussion & Info
When I joined, I decided to start my welcome party off by starting a thread asking to "suckle the tit of Gondile." I was not greeted with straight arguments though, I encountered the worst of the worst. People who could be pissed off by a loose nail, people who QQed every chance they get, etc. After that thread died, I tried posting in different threads. I found some intelligent human beings, but most were composed of Elitists and AMP’D-Worshippers.
So, now that we got that out of the way, let's talk about the many terrible persons that don’t like Gondile.
The Intelligent Ones (Gondile, Me)
These are the few that dwell in this forum. They try to create meaningful threads and try to spur a discussion/debate. However, there is little of them, so there isn't much more information on them. Besides, they are mostly drowned out by the others.
The Worshippers of AMP’D’s Feet (Everyone who disagrees with me)
These vary wildly from having the most **** poor grammar on the planet to grammar resembling that of the” Everyone who disagrees with me”. Despite how they type, they all act the same. Their one true god is AMP’D and he is their master. Whatever choices he makes, they are right beside him. If a thread has ONE bad post by Gondile and someone complains or suggests differently to it, they will be showered upon with the FAWKIN FURY.
Be especially aware of this type of forum goer, as they travel in packs. **** off one, and you have awakened the bee hive. Prepare for a crapstorm.
The Whiners (People who disagree with me)
They will complain every chance they get. If AMP'D even lifts a finger in the wrong direction to their liking, they will go batcrap insane and throw a temper tantrum, crying their eyes out as they seek ass pats and "damn..."s from everyone. Do not feed this kind, it is better if they go extinct.
The Elitist (People who disagree with me)
These are very common in the wild, and it is best not to approach them. These dwell in many forums, but are normally only in the forums I don’t like. There, they will utter HILARIOUS CATCHPHRASES LIKE "I disagree with your opinion " and "Gondile, you’re points are illogical" Elitists are, however, able to be tamed. If you also own tenbux and tell them a ******** response, they most likely will crawl back to their hole.

Unless Notch truly wants it to implement it into the game, you'll have to wait.
I'm still quite annoyed by him removing the fog toggle.
Edit: On a slightly unrelated note, your attitude is irritating and tiresome to put up with. Knock it off. -

I just want to hear exactly ONE good reason why we shouldn't have an option to disable Hunger.
Just
One.
inb4 BECUZ ITS REALIZTIC!!1
Because the focus of Survival mode is to Survive. And you cannot survive without food. And anyway, you can't starve to death unless you are on Hard, on Easy it stops going down at 5 hearts, and on Normal it stops at 1/2 of a heart, so it's really not a big deal. -
