Hey everyone, we have a planned minor update coming probably this weekend. Not a lot of big changes, some new content and minor bug fixes.

I'm happy just to hear that you guys are making progress! You guys have my support!!

and to every one complaining about the versions... the new launcher lets you switch between versions of minecraft. so do that instead of complaining

guys i think i know why there holding back the update 1: there waiting for 1.6, 2: there adding a new dino!!! :D they just don't want to tell us witch one it is ;)
Im fairly certain its just an issue with the new (or existing) mobs. I really don't think that the hole mod is stalled, just new dinos for the moment.

I'm 13, I have some experience coding mobs, No mods currently. I've created a T-Rex, Microraptor, and Spinosaurus in McModeler. I have a Mac, so Techne doesn't work. :( Still working out how to line up textures correctly... (I got a test creeper model's textures to line up, so why aren't my Microraptor's working?) No Skype account. Trying to fix that...

Just so you know, I tried to create the models life-sized, taking into account that 1 block = 1 meter.
So, T-Rex is about 11 blocks. Microraptor is less than 1 block, and Spinosaurus is 18 blocks.

Watch out for Paleocraft, no offense their dinos look much prettier. RAR! DINOS!

HE LIES!!... well not really, the modles are alright but the animations are terrible compared to this mod. I also dont really think that these two mods are even comparable. Paleocraft is going souly for realistic were this mod is going for the fun experience of archaeology and dino's are a bonus.

    Horses! Leashes! Dino leashes?

I'm not trying to get ahead of myself but will dinos be able to be leashed by the vanilla leash? I know there is no way of testing that out right now but do any of the coders know if that's possible?

I know u can place them but it would be awesome to just be digging around and then you brake a block and uncover a small piece of a huge skeleton! Then you brake out your brush and chisel away until you have fully uncovered the bones of an ancient beast.

I think it could also be a way to get more bio fossil. If you brake it before its completely uncovered then you only get a small portion of the bio fossil that you could have gotten had you been more careful.

Was every thing that was just said on this page.... pointless?

What do u guys think of dino skeletons sponning naturally under ground and then players having to actually excavate them to get the bio fossils. I think that sounds kinda cool and "archaeological"

about that unicorn thing... i wasn't talking about a magical, one horned steed. I was talking about a elasmotherium. They were an ice age rhino that was believed to be hunted into extinction only about 4,000 years or so.

Just to make sure u knew what i was talking about. no hard feelings :Notch:
