Please stop me if I'm out of line here, but is it useful to use code from other mobs (lets say the sea serpent form Aquatic Abyss mod) with or without permission to modify (im thinking of Mosasaurus here) the dinosaur's behaviors? I love the fluid and dynamic animations of the sea serpent as well as its behavior of attacking its pray and so on.

I am loving the way this mod is continuing to thrive and add content!! By far one of my most favorite mod that blows all others that "try" to add dinosaurs out of the water.

I've been thinking a lot of the pterosaurs and have thought of a way to make them more... believable in the wild, so to speak, because i noticed that they don't fly. They just sit around, board and without purpose. I know that flying ai would be very hard to write up but what about a pre-defined flight plan?

These are just some simple flight patterns I whipped up (im actually a pretty good artist i just didn't want to take the time to make a masterpiece). The pterosaurs would take off and fly to a designated altitude, then circle round a full 360 and descend(and in descent animation) until it lands exactly were it took off.

Its fairly simple compared to writing a full flight ai but at least it would get them up in the air and behaving like the gliding reptiles that they are.

(i realize that i wrote 180 instead of 360... my bad)

Hey everyone, we have a planned minor update coming probably this weekend. Not a lot of big changes, some new content and minor bug fixes.

I'm happy just to hear that you guys are making progress! You guys have my support!!

and to every one complaining about the versions... the new launcher lets you switch between versions of minecraft. so do that instead of complaining

I have been away from this mod for a while and i have to say... IMPRESSED!!! I have followed this mod from the start with flam but you guys are taking it to the next level without taking away the feel of the mod that flam intended. In some ways its even better! Keep up the awesome work guys. I bet you could even count on a yoggscast mod review once this is finished! (yes i know they already did one but they would have do another)

    @funstructive: thanks for that

    http://dragonith.dev...ry/?q=minecraft
Please, look at the models for the f/a mod, and see if you can introduce the models in a future update :)

Im sure the developers are well aware of dragonith's models as some of his models are already in use, but yes, I agree that it would be awesome to see the rest of his models roaming the world of minecraft!

    Hey,
does anybody know when DrZhark's mystery mod is coming out? Or what it'll be?

It wouldn't be a mystery mod if we knew what it was now would it?

I cant wait until the mod is updated! When the mod was under Flam,RIP(not that he's dead but i just hop he sleeps well ;) ), I was working on a map that would teach players how to use the mod. Kinda like a tutorial map. I want to do that again, it was an epic build!! I built multiple, awesome looking castles JUST out of neither brick items, And that was before nether brick half slabs.

Small fish, yes, I'm doing an overhaul of the small fish with new models
Perhaps later, I'll add more medium fish. Any ideas??
Larger fish are not on the works yet, but that's the idea, I like Marlins, barracudas and swordfish for example
cat fish would be cool! sturgeon, would be a large fish though.

(theres not much difference between marlins and swordfish)

Also, is fishing going to be different depending on the size of the fish? like small fish being easy, medium being slightly tougher and large fish really putting up a fight!

last thing, will there be a skeleton fish mob? or any other aquatic enemy/shark overall?

    I just had a idea.
When you get bonemeal and sand from the annalysers you put htem in the cultivate and they can make special items which can be used with butter (gold) to make a time machine put you need to find a certin object to use it.
Awesome Idea!! The coolest part of this idea is that it would force players to do archaeology to get the parts they need (which is the hole goal of this mod in the first place). It might give a few more uses for the archaeology work bench too. An ancient time machine just sounds cool.

    Quote from Crimson Wolf

http://techne.zeux.me/324218e8 <-- Click for 3d view, the one shown here is the green/yellow Bicephalic wolf.

    DEMON WOLF
A new neutral/aggressive fantasy mob. Most are tamable and can be bred with each other to get more intricate colors, otherwise just look-alike offspring of a parent. Tamed demons will follow you unless given a bone to wander around with and attack anything that attacks you, and almost all are even rideable. Can interact with the Whip and essences of Light, Darkness, Undead, and Fire. Demon wolves can be fused with each-other to create a high level demon wolf at the cost of both wolves and some sort of item. Tier 1 and 2 Regular/Winged/Fairies cannot be fused because their power is too small. An example of this fusion would be a Tier 3 spotted Winged demon and a gray Bicephalic one. The resulting demon would be a gray Winged Bicephalic demon wolf, since the Bicephalic wolf is more powerful, and so on. Fusion does have a chance of failing however, and it may result in a different wolf than you expected, or maybe not even any wolf at all.

Here is an item I whipped up just now, I'll call it the Jakyou Orb that could be the cost for fusion, maybe make it a rare drop from all of these mobs along with the others like Heart of Fire and Demon Fur or whatnot.

    For more details, click here...
    Level 1-5 Rarity
    1. As rare as Donkey
    2. Zebra
    3. Overworld Bathorse
    4. Golem
    5. Holy crap these things are like impossible to find

    Rank 1-6 Strength
    1. 1 heart
    2. 1.5 hearts
    3. 3 hearts
    4. 3.5 hearts
    5. 5 hearts
    6. 6 hearts
    7. 9 hearts

    Regular: (Rank 1)
Big, hairy demon wolf. Level 1 rarity spawnrate with neutral behavior at any time in overworld (white, gray, tan, brown, black) though aggressive at night (the moment werewolves become beasts) and the Nether (yellow/red/blue/white/black fire) (level 1) with the ability to set enemies on fire. White and black demons (level 2) are rarer and slightly faster/more powerful. Regulars have a small chance to spawn with pups (level 2) that are completely neutral/will flee on sight (they're pups, what do you expect). Pups are tamable either by tossing food (any type of meat) and right-clicking with a medallion (very similar to BigCats) or however else that makes sense.

Giving an Essence of Fire will transform the demon wolf into a random Nether demon wolf, for those of you who'd rather breed and make than catch. Giving an Essence of Light to one will create a Mystic (Rank 2) wolf, which is bicolored with a white under and blue/yellow/green/red top, and has a shining blade for a horn on its forehead. Giving an Essence of Undead, whether Mystic or Nether or not, will turn the demon wolf into that variant zombie wolf (normal, horned, or burnt).

Wolves can be bred to obtain tier 2 wolves, such as several shades of bicolored brown, white, tan, black, gray, and rusty, which are all a percentage stronger (Rank 2) than their wild counterparts. Tier 2 wolves can again be bred to obtain intricate patterns of tricolored, blotched, striped, and spotted wolves as tier 3 which are even stronger (Rank 3) than tier 2. Tier 4 demon wolves can be bred from tier 3 wolves and certain Legendary wolves and are exceptionally stronger (Rank 4) than tier 3 demon wolves. Using essences on tiers 2-4 will not create a higher-leveled Nether/Mystic/zombie.

    Winged: (Rank 1)
A rarer, winged variant of the regular ones with the ability to fly. (Level 3) Comes in their same colors including the Nether wolves, along with their same color wings that are either feathered or demonic. Same rules all apply. When given an Essence of Darkness however, a Winged Mystic wolf will transform into the Marquis (Rank 6), which is much larger and has more demon-like qualities, such as a serpentine tail and protruding spines. Wolves bred from a winged and regular demon wolf may or may not have wings.

    Cu Sith: (Cannot attack)
Very small (think rabbit) and docile fairy wolves. (Level 2) Rather fragile. Spawns in the overworld and the Nether as fire variants. Overworld colors vary from light mint to dark green. Mostly as ambience. Cannot be ridden or breed with other types of demon wolves. Bred babies have a rare chance of becoming a Mac Tira Sith (Level 3), which is as large as a normal demon wolf, is a deep green, and can attack stronger than a regular (Rank 3), but loses its ability to fly.

    Enraged:
Much larger than regular. Spawns extremely rarely (Level over 9000) at any time in overworld, very powerful, only one color palette of slate gray, gray, and white. Spawns with movement restriction (it is chained to a nearby keg in the ground and cannot move out of that radius), but when you get close it becomes extremely hostile and does a truckload of damage to you (Rank 7). If you could somehow do it, setting it free allows you to tame it. (When tamed, its damage goes down to Rank 5.) This is much easier under certain circumstances. Giving it an essence of darkness will transform it into an Overlord (Rank 6), which is darker and looks a lot more demonic-like. Enraged wolves, when ridden and used a whip on, will charge forward and destroy blocks for a short time.

    Bicephalic: (literally 2-headed)
Big and very hairy with a serpentine tail. (Level 3)(See above picture) Has double heads, slightly smaller than Enraged demon wolves. Spawns scarcely in the overworld at night and Nether as a hostile mob. Faster and more powerful (Rank 5) than its one-headed regulars, has color variants of red/tan, yellow/brown, black/red, dark/light gray in the wild, and all white, all black, dark green/dark brown/teal, orange/light blue/dark blue rarely (Level 3.5). Bicephalic demon wolf pups are only tamable through special means. Winged Bicephalic wolves can be obtained by fusing a winged demon wolf with a Bicephalic. Giving an Essence of Light will turn in into the same-colored Mystic, and giving it an Essence of Fire will turn it into a Bicephalic Hellhound, and the same goes with Undead. The green/yellow Bicephalic wolf (Rank 6) with a purple serpentine tail that sets foes on fire can only be obtained by fusing a Quadracephalic with a green tier 4 demon wolf.

    Tricephalic: (literally 3-headed)
Same qualities apply to Bicephalic brethren (power/size/speed/breeding/essence interaction), the only exception being a slightly larger head in the middle with other details. A bit more rare to find (Level 4). Has same color variants, except for a black and white (Rank 6) with a golden serpent tail and the ability to set enemies on fire. Pups are only tamable through special means. The black/white variant can only be obtained by fusing an all black Bicephalic demon with the Legendary white.

Quadracephalic: (literally 4-headed, it's kind of a word I made up)
As large as Enraged and more powerful (Rank 5.5) than Tricephalic. Can only be obtained by fusing any Tricephalic and any Bicephalic demon wolf, but with a mere 25% chance of successful fusion. Because of its erratic nature, only one variant exists, but its four heads consist of green/yellow, black/white, Enraged, and red Mystic colors. Its body is also a mix of these demon wolves' palettes.

    Inugami:
The result when you kill a demon wolf (tamed or not!). Upon killing regular/winged/fairy demon wolves, you have a 50% of spawning one of several different wolf specter Inugami, one being a normal (Rank 1) one with no wings (regular/winged), two being an Ignited (Rank 1) Inugami (Nether), three being a Mystic (Rank 2) Inugami, and four being a Fairy (No rank) Inugami.

When you kill any of the other demon wolves, special Inugami have a 10% chance of spawning, save for the Enraged, which is 100%. Enraged Inugami (Rank 5) are very large, Bicephalic Inugami (Rank 5) are large with two heads, Tricephalic (Rank 6) with three heads, and Quadracephalic with four. Killing a Legendary wolf will give you NOTHING!! (Just kidding. It'll spawn a legendary Inugami 100%.)

Inugami, being quite insubstantial, cannot be ridden or bred but will still defend you. Fusing a demon with any Inugami will result in that demon's Inugami. Inugami's powers are relevant to which demon it came from, except for tiers 2-4 regulars, Marquis, Mac Tira Sith, Overlord, green/yellow Bicephalic, and black/white Tricephalic.

Makami: What happens when you kill an Inugami? There is a 1/10 chance of getting the peculiar-shaped Makami, which acts as a regular Inugami. However, the Makami is immortal unless you set its soul free with a Scroll of Freedom. Makami cannot be fused, ridden, or bred. Killing a Legendary Inugami will create an Okami, which are white wolf gods.

    Legendary: (Level 5, Rank 5)
Spawns everywhere at all times though not at all frequently, will not attack unless provoked. They are slightly larger than regulars, and look nearly the same. Similarly colored demon wolves may make it hard to differentiate them. There are several different colors (crimson with blue cap, blue and white with pink nose, pitch black with red eyes and scarred muzzle, white with yellow eyes and black tail, mahogany and light brown, brown and tan, blue and teal) and can only be approached/tamed when you are riding a tier 3 or special regular (Zombie, Mystic, Nether). Legendary wolves have a slight particle effect. When riding any legendary, you are immune to all demon wolf damage (except for fire damage), Enraged wolves will not attack you and wild Bicephalic/Tricephalic pups will follow you. Breeding the crimson Legendary with the green/yellow will yield special crimson/red/black Bicephalic offspring. Breeding the blue/white with an Enraged/Overlord will result in two tiny pups. Using either an Essence of Darkness and Light will turn them into a black/red demon with a marking of a sun on its hind quarters and a white/blue demon with a marking of a moon.

Inspiration: Fenrir, Skoll, Hati, Orthrus, Cerberus, Cu Sith (Mac Tira Sith), Inugami, Makami, Yatsufusa, Tokami the Crimson Wolf, Tokuba
Model and texture by me, Crimson Wolf. This texture is based on Shin Megami Tensei's Orthrus and is heavily inspired by DrZhark's (featuring BlockDaddy's work) Mo' Creatures. If approved, I will gladly help modeling and texturing.

Please help this get looked at by DrZhark community, I have spent some time on this model and texture, and put quite a lot of thought into this post!

I kinda think this beast would be better off in twilight forest seeing as that is soully a fantasy mod.

I hope you dont mind a little critique

I saw a raccoon last night... I would say that yours is quite a bit dis-proportioned. A raccoon's body is much bigger than its head and your raccoon's head is just as big as the body. Thats totally fine if its a baby. Also the snout of a raccoon isn't quite as long as yours and comes to a point. I know that you cant make it come to a point but bringing the nose closer to the face would help.

Again Im not trying to bash your raccoon just giving you (hopefully) a helpful critique.

Your mini golem is AWESOME :iapprove:
