None, edgy garbage written by teenagers doesn't really interest me that much.

To dumb it down, it's like preschool. If a couple kids fight over toys and try to annoy the teacher as much as possible, everyone will be affected and playtime will be over.

Nobody should want Mojang to do this. It's already commonly known that Dinnerbone won't be updating Bukkit after the DMCA mess.

I want Mojang to do this, maybe there will be some better servers coming out of this.

Picture it, you start looking for a server to join. You're looking and looking, what you see is "donate now and receive a sharpness 10 sword.
You just roll your eyes, thinking the owner is really desperate. But then you see 10 more,30 more,50 more saying the same thing.
Then you realize that there are way to many servers doing the same thing, drowning out servers who don't have to hawk in game items to stay afloat. Then you just give up disgust.

    Yeah...

I really wish people would actually evaluate the result of Mojang's actions rather then blindly siding with Mojang. I asked a question openly, to multiple people and the best I got was, "We'll still be allowed to play Minecraft." This is just ridiculous. Why do you agree with Mojang's decision if you cannot even give me a reason why it will benefit the community?

I stand by one of my earlier statements in that those that are against pay for perk features are jealous of those that were able to pay for such features, because all I hear is complaints against said feature without any actual good reasons as to why. It's a crude way to look at it, but honestly they dodge any direct request for a reason, so what else am I to think?

However, I can actually explain multiple reasons as to why it is BAD for the community. It could potentially (and according to one large server that has posted, may actually) cause people to lose their jobs (which could potentially make people/families homeless), it could inhibit the gameplay of such servers as they are forced to use alternative means for income beyond gameplay features. It actually directly stifles creation by limiting what you're allowed to make (no capes). It creates a bad impression that Mojang will take away from the community at any time for any reason without negotiation. I've got plenty of reasons its NOT good for the community. I cannot really find one reason its good.

One thing I'd like to keep mind for those that reply to me, I don't play on large servers. I design mod content and art. I'm the original creator of the Ender Storage mod, I occasionally twitch stream and I've been contributing my other ideas to various other mods over the years (be it art or gameplay concepts). I don't actually lose much myself by these restrictions, but I am still speaking against them. I also am acting and not just speaking by actually moving my content creation to a open source platform (http://minetest.net) which will give me the ability to make content and have rights over said content.

No one cares if you are moving somewhere else, please stop acting like we do.

I love how this community treated minecraft as some agorist experiment. We really don't need big servers, just make multiplayer fun again.

I remember back in alpha we didnt need OP swords given through "donations" to stay on a server.
But hey end of the world you know,"Onoez I cant haz my god toolz anymoe".

To those saying their leaving because of this, no one cares you will not be missed.
The game did fine without you, one less entitled person.

posted a message on Petition: Mojang needs to change the EULA!
    Quote from Boing29

This whole thing is stupid, the system has worked forever, why can't mojang simply ignore it still? What caused them to actually change their mind, I mean, it's always been this way.

I myself run a server and need donations to afford it. I can keep it going month to month, yes, but the amount of money needed is just too much to spend every month. We, as server owners, bring enjoyment to Minecraft's players, Mojang's very own customers. If we bring enjoyment to Mojang's OWN customers, usually they like friends to play with them, when they get friends to play with them, they need to get another account, aka, we make Mojang money. Minecraft alone can be very boring. Even with single player mods, it still feels pretty empty. As a server owner, I don't force people to pay, I say, you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours. They donate, they get stuff. Sure, it's against the EULA, always has been, but hey, it's a win win for both us and Mojang, so I don't see why it's such a problem to them.

Things were fine, if it were truely 'pay to win' than why does everyone still play? Why do the majority of players NOT pay? Because they don't have to. If you've played MC as long as I have, you'd understand that it's NOT pay to win, and it never has been. It's easier to win if you pay, but that's how it is EVERYWHERE YOU GO. Minecraft is a very fun, prestigious game. People play because of it's community. With so many places to play, things to do, gamemodes to try, you don't get bored very fast. If Mojang does this, there's going to be MANY displaced Minecrafters looking for new servers, as some of the ones they played went down. That's going to cause an increase in people on other servers (If these displaced people don't leave the community for good) which means servers are going to have to pay more to get more RAM to hold these players. If they have donations quelled, because lets face it, people don't hand their money over for nothing, especially not over a game, or for players who are as young as 10 to 14, than obviously not many people will have the money or motivation to run a server.

Simple fact is: The system has always been fine, even though it did always break the EULA, Mojang has always profited from servers, they have always gained more popularity through servers. Youtube is alive with Minecraft videos because people who play those servers share their gameplay footage because even WATCHING is fun. If a majority of servers go down, which is a huge possibility, a lot of these videos effectively advertising Minecraft will have no where to record. This whole thing likely will turn out bad for Mojang. As for me, I'm going to continue running my server until I can no longer. I enjoy running my server, and others enjoy the server itself. If someone decides they want to give me money, I'm glad to take it and help pay the bills. Glad enough to hand over items to them. So until Mojang starts actually enforcing their EULA, I won't stop offering packages. When they do, though, I'm going to back off.

    Consider this signed.

Your P2W so you really dont have a say.

P2W server owners shouldn't have a say in the matter, they were the ones who caused this mess. They drown out decent servers with their /vote nonsense, they heavily imbalance their servers in favor of the "donation" players.
I'll be glad to see you go.

You know maybe those garbage mini game servers will get thinned out, hopefully we can have some actual servers again instead of "hunger flappy bird prison faction games".

The only decent one is MineZ imho.
