I'd just like to keep this alive because having snow would be awesome. That's like my number one thing for MineCraft. After snow gets fixed or modded back in, I'd be even happier.
I think climbing spiders are the absolutely perfect compromise for the people who think the game needs to be harder and the people who think the game is fine as it is.
Squids scare the **** out of me. I'd rather have a shark that killed me in one hit than squids that don't attack at all. I overcame my arachnophobia for Minecraft, but this? Nuh-uh.

It's pretty simple: This community sucks. Why?
Moderators. There are simply not enough strict moderators. Mods have to ban a lot more strictly. Bad thread? Ban for a day and lock it. Punish the community with minor bans for minor rule-breaking. The community is expanding, and the mods can't keep up. Simple as this. Like any child or group of children, discipline will do wonders. While many will complain, those are the people that start flame wars, make stupid threads, and not do anything for the community. I've sent this same concept to mods, and to no avail. This is the only solution at the time. That's what many larger forums such as Facepunch have done, and for the most part, bad, annoying people get banned and either get perma-banned after doing it again, or shape up and take the rules seriously.
Stricter mods. Stricter rules. Small bans for small offences. That's all we need.
I definitely agree in more strict moderators. We need more moderators like the ones at TeamLiquid, elitist and unapologetic. Elitist is often a "bad" word, but honestly unless you gather a group of "elites" and ban all the trolls, then you are going to get crap threads like this one.

No, what he says is valid. I've seen water flow into lava. Normally, if water and lava make contact it just makes normal obsidian. In this case, the lava is actually flowing into the water, which if you view underwater looks kinda funky. I have not been able to reproduce it, and the bug doesn't seem serious or gamebreaking at all. I'm sure others have seen it as well.
