    it should be as any other block in assets -> minecraft -> textures -> block. Probably named raw_iron_block.png, but you can check for name, if you open .jar file in folder "versions" of that snapshot, where that block exist.

    Well, I remeber once with world edit plugin setting grass blocks in area about 10 000x20x10 000 blocks by mistake... And it crashed that server after like 5 minutes of world edit trying to place those blocks. Lucky me, after loading it again after crash, it was not there, so no backup needed :D

    Hi, just today I was working on somethinr really similiar -> custom item models. First picture is what I have inside my cit folder. It includes one .properties file and one .json file for model. (I got 2 things there, you need just 1 of each) my .properties file is included in 2nd picture. I have it only if I have specific namer of that item, if you dont want it and you want to include your model to any name, just remove that last line. In that .json model file, you must specify, what texture you want, like how I have it in 3rd picture (I am using blockbench, great app for that.) That texture is located in assets -> minectaft -> textures -> item, as shown in last picture. (don't mind me having that "wooden_sword" texture almost blank, it is still in there) That should be all you need for everything working properly. I figured it out just today, so I am giving fresh info that I just learned :D

    Smite is better for PvE, Sharpness is good for PvP.


    When playing multiplayer with possibility that someonce can attack you, sharpness.


    But this is more about single player. Lots of normal mobs can be killed with 1 hit instead of 2, BUT. Mobs, that I am most worried about -> creepers, piglin brute, hoglin, ravager and wither & ender dragon does not count as undead. (Another mobs, I count to that list are evoker and vexes, but it is same with both smite and sharpness). As I am playing hardcore most of the time, I want best things against these strong mobs, that requie more hits than sharpness. As I would always forget to switch werapons when going to nether, boss fights or to raid, I am going to keep sharpness on me all the time.If someone would not forget to switch, or use axe with sharpness instead, then, I think that it could be worth it to just shoot creepers instead of fighting them with smite sword and use smite sword to 1 shot kill phantoms and other mobs that are not creepers and spawn normally.

    I have a working model of a sword. That model is basically 2 swords together. Then, I got 1 file in minecraft -> textures -> item, where I have texture to only 1 part of that model, so 1 sword is visible. Then, I have another file in minecraft -> optifine -> cit -> swords, where I have texture to only 2nd part of the model, so only second sword is visible. Also, inside that cit -> swords file, there is .properties file, where I specified that if the sowrd has specific name, then the texture changes from first to second. When I have both active, that cit is not working. When I remove model, both named and unnamed item textures are different, just not showing properly because I don't have that model. Is it even possible to combine custom item model with cit? If so, then how?

    No one answered for a while, so I'm gonna answer even tho I am not 100% sure. As in this version, those czech letters like č, ř, ý, ž,... are not even written in "minecraft font" (and instead of that, there is a completly different not-fitting font until 1.13 or what version because minecraft did not even prepared for those symbols to be written, I believe, it is not possible to change it even in resource pack.

    program: blockbench, that is app made for custom minecraft models, it can do basically everything that you need while making model. If you want to change model of armor you are wearing, I believe, it is not possible even with optifine, as neither minecraft or optifine does not support that.


    Why there has to be 2 layers? It's simple. pants share same location as boots and chestplate. You need another file so that minecraft knows, what to make as pants and what to make as chestplate and boots.

    so, I think, this has multiple issues, first one is missing texture, to whitch I could have solution, second one is that texture bellow legs. Only thing, I had problems with blockbench blocks placement different in-game and in model in a way that I did not want had something to do with pivit points. (it was at wrong location,...) Then, there is missing texture. I always need to remove current texture from blockbench itself and let it take the texture from files of the pack.

    okay, thx for screenshots, but it does not seem the problem is what I thought in either case. Both of it seems normal.


    My last idea is to check, if the resource pack is set for 1.16.5. That is easy, either just in-game to se if it has that red thing or not, or in first folder of pack, even before assets, check file named pack.mcmeta, inside that, there should be "pack_format": 6. (6 is for 1.16.2-1.16.5, different numbers are for different versions) If it is some lower number, it can cause problems. If even this is good, I kinda have no clue. Either try to wait if someone else responds, or I could try to download it if you put it somewhere so I can test it myself.

    Sooo. I'm going to start witrh banners, as I had the exact same problem. Go to assest -> minecraft -> textures -> entity -> banner (or shiled instead of banner for shield.) What you should have is white texture with no texture in the other part of texture. Not black, but none. I had black instead of none, and you described is exaclty as I had it, so it is probably same problem.


    For chests, I think (not sure tho) that the texture was changed in some previous version the exact way you described it. Double chests have new file completly and the position of single chest was edited. I added a picture to show how it looks for me, if I remember it correctly, you should have it different

    Hi, I have my texture pack, that I am updating all the way from 1.12 version, I got a bug for a really long time, where I can't see water texture on side (picture to show what I mean). I know it is just because of my pack, but idk where could be the problem. Any idea, where could be that problem?
