All of my localization file has been broken since 1.11. I've updated pack.mcmeta to "pack_format": 3, too. I'm clueless what do I have to do next in order to make it work again.
I've extracted the lang file from official jar and put it to myresourpackname/assets/minecraft/lang/en_US then changed some item names to "test" or "thisismystuff", none of those working. Did they changed the method of custom localization?
I mean what this guy is doing. I have 2D textures of guns and want to not aiming on the ground using 2D textures. I know you can do this in 3D textures, but can you do this in 2D?

Oh, wow. I knew uppercase letters are things in the file names but didn't know it matters for lang files. Thanks for information.

So, how do you change the state of players when you are using bow? Is it hard-coded?

Sorry. I just found better one on youtube:
Anyway, I want to do this using resource packs so my guns won't aim at the ground or holding swords like you are about to slash. Any idea?
