I already mentioned some of those sources in my last post: You guys favor the discord to such a large extent that news outside is either late or completely forgotten in some cases.

I never once distributed a compiled build and very rarely compiled them in the first place except when I wanted to check new features ingame and cross mod interations that were added, the problem is im extremely lazy and compiling is work. I mainly checked the source from time to time to see what was changed or added and followed commits.
Both of which are impossible now. Seriously, you plug the discord almost as much as mod news( even the most recent twitter post had a discord plug in it.. ) when some people simply can't or won't join.. you need a more reliable and quicker way to update mods news outside of discord since it's lacking to a high degree and discord is pretty much behind a wall for some( this news issue is a problem ive explained to a few mod creators when everyone started swapping to discord for news.. yet I was ignored for the reason "It's easy so it'll work out" ).

Also your post came off as a bit too hostile in my personal opinion. Ive never once seen anywhere that you don't want others compiling a open source mod so I didn't know, yet you stress it no less then 3 times( yes you posted on twitter about it recently but that was waaaay after the fact since ive been checking the code and compiling sincd 1.10.2 versions ).
It's the internet. It will happen one way or another. Simple as that.
Your mods one of very few that actually went closed source simply because of a few idiots that im aware of

Our discord is the place we're more comfortable with interacting with our community, so of course there will be nuggets that slip out here and there. You seem hell bent on not using discord and that's your prerogative but don't demand for us to change something that is very simple and comfortable just because of your whims.

The GitHub was open source yes, until that fact was abused. We cannot stress enough how much we don't want people outside of dev/people we trust getting their hands on our unreleased builds. It doesn't matter what you use them for or what your intentions are. There is a reason that beta versions are restrictive- because if you mess up your PC while trying to play with a pirated version of our mod we're still responsible. We have many young fans and that could lead to disaster.

Everyone knows that the fireworks on 4th of july weren't because of some "independence"; they're because 4th of July is 4f's birthday!

    @Everyone.

We already have an API in place with which mod authors can tag their foods as meat, vegetables and fruits. If you want mod compat with Pam's Harvestcraft, go as her :P

Regarding mirrors, we definitely like the idea but it would be really hard to program. And even tho MrCrayfish added mirrors to his mod they cause a lot of lag. Considering our mod is heavy on mobs it wouldn't be a good idea to add them purely from s practical standpoint.

Maybe you guys should stop posting until you learn how not to snap at everyone. We don't want new people being driven off by the immaturity displayed as of recently.

I think you just disproved yourself with those links, here are my main 3 problems:

    1. Crest please, kinda minor though. Was most likely for display purposes and sexual dimorphism.

    2. Spinosaurus still has the 2014 spine structure. There has been nothing to disprove it, and it does seem like something that'll scare away Carcharadontosaurus'. Also, once again, display purposes.

    3. The coloring. As well as what is basically known as a fact now, Spinosaurus is a piscivore that sits in the water and waits for prey to arrive underneath. Since fish are attracted to dark places, maybe make the whole thing a dark shade. Same goes for the upper body.

    1. There is a crest, it just isn't at a contrast with the body colors (you can see it in the male quite clearly and if you really look at the female, it's present there too)

    2. Spinosaurus does not have the 2014 spine structure. That structure is described to Spinosaurus B which, funny enough, is now a senior synonym for Sigilmassasaurus.

    3. I don't think you got the memo that the 2014 study was disproved. I want you to give me evidence outside that study that spino sat in the water waiting for prey.

So with the update there is a lot of backstage work and not a lot to show off.

Regarding that, we have some nice progress but I decided that I'd show you some of the plants I have made that are in the backlog.

    Can you guess their names?

@All the people that replied with "We can't know!".

We know they did not have sails because the crest's "antlers" were smooth. Now, if there was skin attached to it, there would be little holes and uneven bits to which said skin is attached. Their arms are very rough and not at all smooth unlike the crest. Also, just because some scientist said something some years ago doesn't make it true.

"However, in the actual description of the fossils, paleontologist Christopher Bennett argued against the possibility of a membrane or soft tissue extension to the crest. Bennett noted that the edges of each prong were smooth and rounded, and showed no evidence for any soft-tissue attachment points. He also compared Nyctosaurus with large-crested tapejarids, which do preserve soft tissue extensions supported by prongs, and showed that in those species, the attachment points were obvious, with jagged edges where the transition from bone to soft tissue occurred. Bennett concluded that the crest was most likely used solely for display, citing similar structures in modern animals."

Bennett, S.C. (2003). "New crested specimens of the Late Cretaceous pterosaur Nyctosaurus."
