im running a forge server (1.12.2) on my home pc (7600k @ 4.8ghz, 16gb 3000mhz, server has 6gb ram) with the RLcraft mod pack for me and 2 mates to mess around on but the issue i keep getting is that when riding a dragon or any other flying creature i get kicked for "flying is not enabled on this server", however the server properties disagree as it states "allow-flight=true". an suggestions? console shows the kick as being kicked for floating in a vehicle for too long.there is no plugins besides forge itself (if you even count that). i was thinking about deleting the properties txt and letting the server make another but idk if that will fix the issue at all.
Those are good specs for running a server
Deleting the properties file could fix a few things, but don't because you can always try the Minecraft Wiki Page.
If you're talking about singleplayer, you can always try using a program like LogMeIn Hamachi. Your friends can use hamachi to connect to your computer from theirs, which means that after you do this, all you have to do in Minecraft is Open to Lan.
I was referring to forum policy on uploading "hack/cheat" mods, which only have to say that they aren't intended to be used for griefing even if they can easily be used for that:
This is also similar to Mojang's own policy, possibly more restrictive since Mojang probably doesn't like any sort of mod/hack that could possibly be used for griefing/bypassing anti-cheats, even if that isn't a stated use for them (so a simple mod that shows your coordinates regardless of whether reduced debug is enabled could be seen as a violation since servers have a reason to hide it).
That said, if you just want to use some of Wolfram's features in singleplayer it is probably better to find the equivalent mods for them.
I'll just move on to making a caudron server or something.
I haven't looked at the actual download but the installation instructions say that you need to download the corresponding Minecraft version first, much like how Optifine and Forge require that you download the appropriate version before you can install them; as long as it isn't a standalone working copy it isn't illegally distributing the game (including small parts is allowed, as otherwise practically all mods would be illegal, hence why the EULA refers to a "substantial part" when referring to mods. Note that they say that "hacked versions" are not allowed to be distributed but they are referring to a pre-modified jar, not a "hacked client", which could really refer to any modified version, not something that calls itself such. Likewise, the forums allow "hack/cheat" mods as long as they aren't "designed for griefing" (which is admittedly a very gray area; many people use e.g. x-ray mods to locate player's bases on servers so they can grief them, even if that isn't stated to be a use of the mod).
If anything, sp614x, the creator of Optifine, should be notified since they do not allow you to distribute Optifine as part of a modpack (including a "hacked client", which is essentially the same thing under a different name, the "hack" part refers to the fact that they are usually intended to cheat/hack on servers, including the ability to bypass cheat detection, as mentioned on the main page for Wolfram).
Does that mean that I can legally [even if its in a grey area] download WolfRam?
It doesn't matter, all go against the EULA since you are bypassing security measures. And besides, anyone can download a version jar regardless of whether or not they own Minecraft.
Forge is legal because it requires that you have the original jar. In fact, Forge doesn't have a jar at all. It just installs a .json [that uses the vanilla jar of a your version] and required libraries.
I want to download Wolfram Hacked Client, but doing so will go against Mojang's Minecraft EULA. Are there any hacked clients that required you a patch an original .jar, similar to IPS rom patchers used in rom hacking?
How do you animate items? What I mean is giving the item more than one texture and the item keeps changing textures. One time, I was playing a custom map that had a ring from Sonic the Hedgehog that would spin. The Ring was an item. Please help if you know what I mean.

I want to copy structures from the Nether to the overworld for a custom map that I'm making, but can WorldEdit do this?

I want to experiment with changing the sky color using Optifine, but where do I start?
Also, when I look on Video > Quality, there is a "Custom Sky" Option.
Is this for sky color or just the cloud texture?
If possible, I also want to change the fog color.

I'm new to making custom item textures with Optifine.
Is there some way of showing a custom texture if the item has a certain name?
I have this in my properties file. \/

Nevermind, I decided to use Thermos

I want to setup a forge server, but I also want to use a few plugins, such as grief prevention.
There are several options for this, but what should I choose;
SpongeForge[1.10+ only]Cauldron
KCauldron
Thermos
