    Also if you're wondering YEs there is a 1.8.9 version in progress https://github.com/Mithion/ArsMagica2/tree/1.8.9-Update but hasn't been updated for almost 1 year and only about 18/40 items got ported. So as I said before the dev is very slow. You can expect it to come about in like 3,4 years if dev continues.

    Yea is still active . Is just the dev is very very slow. We just got a stable 1.7.10 NOW. Check their github you will see they do update it once in a while and there is even 1.8+ version in progress.

    Hey thanks a lot guys for all the suggestions. I kinda decided to try something else!I went for rogue like dungeons + special mobs on hard mode. This should make the game quite interesting. If is not enough I will also add infernal mobs, bloodmoon, mutant mobs and zombie awarness mod.

    Try Grimoire of Gaia as well. Those are some beastly enemies.

    Thanks a lot . I am looking for a good mod with fantasy creatures dwarves, goblins, giants etc now to oversaturate my overworld . I want monsters to fight with day and night.

    No addons that I know of, but what would they add, really? Forgot about Forbidden Magic. Thaumcraft addon that adds a wand and staff core, plus wand caps, that recharge from AM2 mana. Witchwood cores and Vinteum caps.

    I dunno man It kinds feels weird with no swimming. My guess is devs messed up they forgot to register the fluid but then they decided to leave it the way it COZ Etherium duh. Still feels weird. I'd say is an accidental feature as in a bug that was left in.

    And yeah Forbidden Magic is badass. I do have that. It also connects Botania mana and Blood Magic LP in addition to AM2 etherium mana.


    Is weird that AM2 has been around so long and has an api for 1.7.10 and nobody ever made any addons for it. Other than some crossover features from other mods like Witchery or Forbidden Magic there is NOTHING out there.

    I read that AM2 took so long to get updated to 1.7.10 and was so broken that people gave up on it altogether. It used to be the coolest magic mod back in 1.6.4 days. TBH it still has some issues with Optifine and other mods and maybe about 10% of it may cause crashes but right now is the most stable it has ever been on 1.7.10 so I installed it and using it and is quite damn powerful mod.

    I was also reading how is mainly a combat mod and is not so useful in vanilla survival MC cause you don't have no special powerful enemies to fight all the time. Is there a mod that adds next level enemies all over the map? Abyssal Craft?

    Is that API still coming ? Probably or probably not eh :D Also this will never see 1.8+ will it? If it had a monster + monster part api say maybe even something more simple like scripting body parts MineTweaker 3 style ppl could make their own custom body part scripts to work with various mods. I wanna install it for more variety haha

    The fluid is not registered properly is what's going on. The modder needs to register his fluid so you can swim in it

    Liquid Etherium is weird fluid you cannot swim in it like other fluids. What's up with that? Is like air. Is that intentional or is it a bug?


    EDIT: you need to register your fluid using FluidRegistry so you can swim in it .


    EDIT2: Are there any addons or plugins for AM2?

    All these big mods need to go full Community Edition github mode with azanor as the lead and the only one with github pull/commit password access. This way he can get help from the community, teach some new MC modders some skills and still control the overall direction of the mod

    latest Optifine has it's own Dynamic Light now which can be Fancy (real time) and Fast (every 500 ms or something like that) > Is it related to yours or did they just copy yours? :D

    posted a message on [Thaumcraft Addon] Witching Gadgets

    So people convinced me long time ago to play WG and so I did and is quite fun. It has some really unique things that are really fun to play with for sure. But after playing with it for quite some time (since last time I posted about 1 year) I'm starting to doubt this mod a lil bit.


    Here is what I think is NOT good with this mod. ncomplete or limited mechanics: terraforming, gem cutting, spinning wheel and having to install Traveller's Gear .


    Terraforming. Incomplete mechanic. Does not support biomes from other mods and does not support magic forest. I wanna see actual next level terraforming not just some minor discolouration of the land and F3 says is different biome. I want mountains to be shaped, trees to start appearing etc etc.


    Gem cutting is a really cool concept in theory. In practice not so much. Not only gems from other mods are not support but the power of gems does not replace wands and foci.


    Spinning wheel only makes 1 useful thing which is the Bag of Tricks. Everything else not so good. I mean feels good to wear some wolf pelt cape but whatever doesn't do much. Is not really that special.


    The only useful things in this mod are : aspect library, essentia pump, bag of holding, Thaumonomicon search feature , abacus and stone extruder. And most of these can be replaced by what already exists in Thaumcraft or other addons I use . abacus is replaceable by symcalc mod . Aspect library exists in thaumcraft already just expensive . Essentia pump is not really that useful. Bag of tricks can be replaced with ender chest focus. Stone extruder well you can actually make it in many ways but best way to get lots of stone is equivalent exchange replace say leaves with stone mine a lot really fast.


    I mean the three broken mechanics would be damn cool if they were implemented properly abut right now I don't know is borderline useful.


    I find say Thaumic Horizons much more streamlined and unique going into soul sifting and bio magic tech stuff growing organisms in vats . But WG is more like gimmick gadgets at the moment.

    This way I can edit my own mod support as json or some other format

    this mod is so good now i wish i had this on 1.10.2 i can't move from 1.7.10 until some more mods appear /get upgraded to 1.8+ :D i'm sticking with this deff
