If you access them without leaving the server and manually logging into a new one, the EULA considers it to be the same server.Quote from Kain1750
Actually, with some tricky editing, you could just put every minigame on a different server, and then charge access to those servers. IF you wanted to have them connect I'm pretty sure there is a way to do that too. I'm sure someone will figure out a way. Trust me, this is gonna be a lot better for Minecraft in the long run.

Hmm... you mean "less" restricted, don't you? I mean, your premise of more restriction being bad is accurate, but insinuating that there are more restrictions under the new terms is just wrong.Quote from hardcorerobot
Restrictions on how software may be used have never been of benefit to the user.
One does NOT gain more rights or a better experience when use becomes even more restricted.
Stop being an apologist - it is sickening.
Oh, the horror.

I'd upvote it, too, and your comment about not being able to, but, yeah....Quote from ChrisImmortal
Well said, I would give you an upvote but it seems I have exhausted my supply for the day.
(and the same for the Q&A analysis that follows it!) -

OK, prediction made. See you in September (when those servers have been under the new terms for a month).Quote from Spark68
It is possible. However the biggest servers (Mineplex, Hypixel, Hive etc) will not survive. only the little ones will. why? the big ones need to pay more to mcrealms, mcprohosting, etc.

Yes, go sign that. Mojang are being forced to enforce the EULA. There have been lawsuits. In response, they are weakening it, so that servers behaiving in what they feel is a fair manner can continue operating. That's a terrible thing, and the only proper course of action is to shut down every server that allows users to pay real money at all, and delete the accounts of everyone running those servers.
That's what you all want, right? Yes? No? -

No, actually, Notch has said that they could continue running the company without ever earning another... whatever the Swedish equivalent of a cent is..., and just party every day for ten years, on what they have already earned.Quote from Netpatham
Mojang is not concerned about money, they're concerned about...Oh wait they are. *shrug* Sounds fair. Ish.

I think at this point he's just trying to get his signature to appear as often as possible. Some of his previos posts have been duplicates. - To post a comment, please login.

No, we have to get what we can take. There is always a way forward, even if it means leveling a mountain with a feather.
My new posts are at the top of the second-to-last page of my posts, preceded by old posts and followed by my oldest posts. The old-board messages are more or less in order, and the new ones are jammed in near, but not at, the end.

I'm walking on the trapdoor edge, the fire is overhead. If you cycle it, though, I'll fall through.

Firefox will allow you to add words to the local dictionary when you right-click the "misspelled" word, so if you use a word often, and are certain you are spelling it properly, it will not be identified as a misspelled word. I've added "biome," but not any form of "Minecraft."

That means 10% of the code is bugs, just like 98% fat-free products are 2% fat.

You won't see that mentioned in this thread, because it is an old bug. You could also mention the walking animation when using the boat. :smile.gif:

You can't create a single hatch. The recipe creates two, because it is half the size of a normal door.

No, posting bugs without first checking the original post, which for me is at the top of every page, doesn't help. Some of those may be unreported, but not checking first just wastes everyone else's time, and bloats an already oversized thread even further.
The first 1100 replies should be deleted outright, they were made before 1.6 came out. Of the others, most are people who didn't bother to look at the first post before adding their observations that light isn't updating and tools are breaking. See yet again the two above this.

The cobblestone texture WAS NOT altered, not even a single pixel color shifted a single shade.
The change was to the lighting of blocks in inventory, and applies to all blocks.

Previously the compass pointing (or spawn positioning) was broken, and it sometimes began pointing to a location that was not your original spawn, but was also not your bed. People reported spawn shifting to 100 meters or more out in the water.
It is now fixed, in that it keeps pointing at the original spawn.

Of course it isn't. It's just someone who hasn't learned how to indicate that something is a quote, yet.

Those bugs are still bad enough that I'm going to hold off on updating, if I can get the server (that I don't run) to hold back.
