I'm guessing you wont be Overclocking? Cause that's a locked CPU. And if you're not Overclocking you don't need a CPU cooler, That RAM is overpriced. That GPU is, alright. although for the price I would go for an R9 270, I wouldn't use that case, I don't know anything about that PSU but it's probably fine. Alright, what's your budget? I can try to put one together.

Here. That's a bit better, for a little less then your build. Someone will have something to say about it though.

Thanks! As you could probably tell, I'm a complete noob when it comes to this stuff. I just kind of picked out things that I'd heard the name of before.

Edit: And I probably wouldnt have an optical drive. I don't think I'll buy any games on a disc for PC

posted a message on MinePeace SMP: Accepting Applications!
Age: Turned 13 in December. I hope that's alright. Please do have a look through my app first before deciding.

    IGN (in-game name): MrTomJN

Skype username (required for group chat, no microphone necessary): tomzeh0. I do have a microphone but I probably won't talk because I don't like the sound of my voice.

Favorite Hermitcraft / CubeSMP player: MumboJumbo

Why do you want to join us?: I've always watched Hermitcraft and Mindcrack and have always wanted an experience like that. It just looks like so much fun. I've only been in a community like this once, and that server shutdown. I also would like to meet new people. I can't mention anything about Minecraft at my school. People would bully you about it, so meeting people through the game would be much easier and doesn't leave me with no-one to talk to in real life.

What do you bring to our community?: I would bring as much as I possibly could. I feel I have a friendly, helpful personality. I would help anyone with a build, collecting resorces, anything! I'm not the funniest guy in the world, and my parents tell me I'd make a fantastic Dad with the jokes I tell so laughter would not be something I could bring.

How much time per day/per week will you play on the server?: Honestly, it's really hard to tell. I'd make a soild effort to be on at least once a day/night but my family doesn't seem to plan things things very far ahead, so I might miss a day or two a week sometimes.

YouTube channel (optional): I do have one, but I don't post on it. I may start once I aquire a copy of FRAPS. Here's a link: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC9knLR7DosApjLDe-m0GRNg

Will you be able to help pay for the server?: Maybe. I spend way too much already and I struggle to get my account balance past $100. I'm saving for a new computer and a newspaper round really doesn't pay very much. It would depend on how much money I got that month. If it's only $1 or $2 a month, I suppose I can try. No promises though.

Rate your skills from 1 (scrub) to 10 (pro)

Redstone: 2/10. I'm horrible when it comes to redstone. I watch SethBling and MumboJumbo build something amazing, then when I try to do something really simple I end up stuffing it up. I can't even build a 2x2 door without a tutorial to help me. The best thing I could probably do is make a redstone lamp turn on from the other side of the room.

Building: 5/10. I'm pretty average at building. I can't build anything too grand. My houses are pretty average. The best I've done was a castle with my brother and cousin in Pocket Edition, but that was on a flat world. Building large things on really up-and-down terrain really annoys me. But, if the terrain is fairly smooth, I do love to build even though I'm not great at it.

Farming (automated/mob/crops): 3/10. It ties in with the redstone. I'm not that great at it. My friend once taught me how to make a semi-automatic (you had to flick a lever) sugarcane and wheat farm with pistons and water, but I just tried that and it didn't work. I was watching Mumbo build a mob farm and it looked really easy. Although, Mumbo makes everything look really easy.

Mining: 8/10. If mining for a long time means your good at mining, then I am. I can sit there and mine for hours and hours. Mining for a long time usually means lots or resources, that's why I say I'm decent at it. I do know one or two tricks for getting resources quicker (legitimatly, not cheating), but not too many.

Pranking: 5/10. Like I said earlier, I'm not a very funny guy. If I want to pull a prank, I'll want to do an massive, fancy one with redstone that launches you into the air. I do sometimes take my pranks just a little bit too far, but I usually feel bad if I do something I wouldn't want done to me and help whoever I pranked to fix it up.

Teamwork: 9/10. I mentioned building a castle with my cousin and brother earlier. It only took an hour or two and we were able to decide on where to put things and how things looked quickly and I thought it looked decent. I will always co-operate with anyone who wants help to defeat a boss, complete a large build or give them a new pickaxe if theirs broke right in front of diamonds.

And finally, tell us a bit about yourself:

Well, my name is Tom. I'm from Melbourne in Australia. I have one little brother and one older sister. I'm currently on my summer holiday, but will start Year 7 soon. I love to watch sport, but hate playing it. My favourite sport would have to be Aussie Rules Football. The atmosphere is amazing when it's live. I play a little bit of piano, and listen to a lot of music. People always tell me I have a shocking taste in music, though. Approaching Nirvana has some of the greatest music in my opinion. My parents tell me I would make a fantastic father with the jokes and silly puns I tell. I love watching YouTube. My favourite YouTubers/Youtube shows are Marques Brownlee (the best tech videos on the internet!), TekThing (formerly Tekzilla), MumboJumbo and TotalBiscuit. I really love gaming, even though my PC is horrible. I also have a PS4 with GTA V, CoD:AW and Assassin's Creed: Black Flag. I'm quite addicted to GTA V at the moment. And I absolutely hate the name MrTomJN and will change it the minute I am able to.

posted a message on Hey guys I am 14 year old and I want to learn coding to make mods and maybe plugins to
I don't know anything about coding, but when I've asked people about learning to do it, they say to read a book about whatever language you want to learn. I only know the useless Batch, but I once managed to decompile the game and add a few items in with textures and all.

I also did come across a Minecraft Forge mod maker with a GUI. You clicked on the things you wanted to create, typed in numbers and the program coded it for you. It was pretty neat! It was called MCreator if you want to have a play around. http://mcreator.pylo.si/

That pc is pretty bad. Also, no OS included.

Ok. I'll just save a little more for something more decent. Thanks so much! I would of brought it if I hadn't been told it was bad.

    Hello!

I currently don't have my own computer that is able to run Minecraft well. I have to use the family one (and that's annoying D;). So, will this computer be able to run Minecraft at decent settings, and will it be able to handle recording with FRAPS?

    http //gaming.centrecom com.au/centre-com-system-altron-intel-core-i3-4150-3mb-350ghz-4gb-ram-1tb-hdd-dvdrw-gt740oc-1gb-graphics

WiFi sounds horrible for gaming, but it's the easist way to get connected to the Internet from my room, so does this come with WiFi built in or will I have to buy something to get it wired up? Any suggestions of ways to get me connected in my
    room?

I added a USB wireless adaptor, so this isn't a problem anymore.

Electronics are super expensive in Australia, so it's cheaper just to buy something prebuilt. Shipping also burns a hole in the bottom of your wallet. I'm also a complete nub when it comes to building PCs and don't want to buy a whole bunch of expensive parts just for it to stuff up.

I would probably pay someone to build it for me. Electronics are expensive, but if you want a decent PC that doesn't break the bank, you have to buy all of the parts.

    Any help is appreciated!

Yes, but we want the topic to end. Could we get a mod to lock it? Please? This topic is useless now.

It's going to get to 100 pages.

posted a message on What if EA bought Minecraft?
The game price goes up to $80, you can buy "Minebucks" to get ingame clothing and furniture. They reintroduce texture packs, and change resource packs to sound packs. You buy texture packs for $30 and sound packs for $50, and updates cost money... BUT you can buy a Season Pass to get 1 free texture and sound pack a month and free updates!

posted a message on What If Minecraft Was Bought By Apple Instead Of Microsoft?!
It would come in 3 types and be renamed Apple Craft. Apple Craft is the base version for $100, Apple Craft Multiplayer is $50 more and Apple Craft Edition is $150 more for a golden game case with a code in it for a digital download.

Also, a new platform: Minecraft: Wrist Edition.

posted a message on Creating A Server
You will have to pay for it. If you want to create a small server just for yourself and friends, Minecraft Realms might be an option. You get a server that's always online with 10 player slots. It's probably the easiest option, because I assume it's simple to manage. It's rather expensive though. If you're looking for something cheaper, you can just choose a server host. I like McProHosting, but the choice is yours.
