Thanks for the comments on the emerald, I'll reply tommorrow when I've had a chance to sleep on it.

Actually, I don't think you have. Neither Vanilla, MCPatcher, nor Optifine have such a feature. People ask about how to do that every month or two, and the answer is always the same.

Some packs create that illusion in certain circumstances Like Dirt blending into stone on the bottom, but that's just directional CTM. The bottom block of dirt will always have the "blending into stone" appearance, not matter what block is below.

Sorry, I probably just wasn't explaining myself well. This is basically what i want to do.

You see how the edges of the gravel block blend with the grass? I mean there is the proof that I've seen it, I just wanna know how its done? XD

I've always disliked the default emerald block and Lithos' version of the same. In fact I dislike it in most packs-- they look like plastic or something else other than a translucent gem.

Pixel Perfection and Sortex had my favorites, so I looked, and spent some time on a new one today -- too long in fact so that I don't know how I feel about it.

Thoughts? Is it default? Is it give an illusion of translucency?

Can you please explain how particularly it doesn't work? It is a waste of time to comb through the text snippet if you simply don't like how the engine deals with transparency on "fast".

Well its definitely an improvement, however im not sure about the corners of the texture. They dont look like they fit the overall gem structure to me.

Also, I have a question that maybe someone could answer. I've seen texture packs with textures that kinda blend together in certain situations. I dunno how to explain it, but its like when you place a block of gravel next to a block of grass and it swaps out the normal textures to something that has a custom border between the two textures. Does anyone know how to do this? Are there any guides i cam look into? Now that I have most if not all block textures done in my pack, I'm looking for other things to add.

I always use the panorama mod which has a setting specifically designed to output the files necessary for a resource pack panorama. It's pretty easy to find, though I have no idea if it's up to date or not.

I've seen your pack. It looks amazing. Haven't had the time to give it a full review yet, but I hope to in the future. :D

Thanks! It would never have happened without your mentoring me to begin with, I'm in your debt. :D

Hey guys. I got a question for all you texture pack experts. Have any of you created the panoramas on the title screen for your pack? I'm not sure how to go about doing this I replaced some of the panorama files with screenshots from in game, but they didn't look right... Any thoughts? Also I just released my texture pack to the main resource pack discussion section after having been stuck in the WIP section for years. I'd love some feedback. http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/resource-packs/resource-pack-discussion/2603671-prime-adventure-2

Great pack! This has been a long time coming for sure. I really love your color choice, makes everything feel so soft. :)

Thanks! I worked hard to strictly adhere to my color palette, and keep all the colors matching a certain asthetic. Glad someone noticed. :D

Prime Adventure 2 is my original RPG 16x16 texture pack. Ive worked on it piece by piece over the course of several years in order to build a pack that fit my personal tastes. Today it is finally ready to move from the WIP section. Since this was built for myself to use, it has really been a labor of love, and has had minimal outside influence however I do hope you all like it, and I'd love some feedback. Also keep in mind it is not %100 complete. There are still plenty of entity and item textures that need work, and I always tweak my existing textures when I see something I can improve on.(Believe me, as an artist you really start noticing those little imperfections) Without further ado, here is some screenshots and an imgur gallery I put together to showcase the pack!

    Plans/To do List

I currently have two planned updates to this pack for the future.

Version 1.1: Items and Entitys Update [ Planned to come out mid February ]
      Version 1.2 GUI Update [ Undetermined ]
After these two updates all the textures in 1.8 will be "finished", and I will move on to just add additional stuff like alternate textures and such.

    Legal

I really don't care what you do with this resource pack as long as you give credit. Using my textures in remix packs, making continuation threads if I drop off the face of the earth, ect. is all fine by me. Just make it clear that I'm the one who made these textures.

I like the new one but I also like the leaf from the first sword. Another thing I would change is that you have really clean edges. If your going for a sword made of stick, you would think the sticks might be a bit rougher and organic instead of perfect rectangles. Just my opinion anyway.

Sure, from left to right, up to down there is: sea lantern, gold block, golden apple, apple, dark prismarine, iron block, redstone dust, iron bar, prismarine pillar(something I made for fun), redstone lamp(off), gold bar, brick, prismarine brick, redstone lamp(on), nether brick, diamond sword. Hope that helps.

Heres some textures for prismarine and sea lanterns I've been working on. Im pretty proud of the lanterns(in the middle) but I have this nagging feeling I could add more. Thoughs?

Also, if someone were to say, have made prismarine pillar blocks for fun before realizing its not a block in the game, is there some hypothetical way that said person could implement them into their resource pack through creative use of json files or by other means? Please help, they are beautiful and I'm desperate ._.

Thanks for all the support guys. I made a few new textures for the new prismarine and sea lantern blocks. Hope ya like em. I think the sea lantern is one of my best so far but I got this nagging feeling I could do even better on it. Ideas?

Thanks for the screenies Hikachan. I noticed your using some mods in em. Mind telling me which? I wouldn't mind making a bit of support for mod textures when I'm bored, and seeing as your on of the only people taking interest in the pack I might as well work on yours first XP

    @J_from_Holland
Thanks, thats what I was going for!

I really like this pack a lot. I like when artists like yourself can take a 16x texture and really make it something special. You just showed those guys at mojang that 16x textures can really look beautiful and not horrid. Thank you for all your hard work and I hope this post can give you a little bit of hope and inspiration that at least one person out there enjoys your work.

You know what? You just made my day! I took a break for texturing since some stuff came up in life and I havnt really been too motivated to work on the pack because of the overwhelming amount of 1.8 textures and it didn't seem like many people cared about the pack. Today I had an in-game chat with monsterfish and then I came to read this post and its inspired me to continue. I can't promise I will be able to work as much as I did before but I'm commiting to doing one texture a day as of now. I'm also posting this download link for the latest version of the pack. I think it might have some textures I never published. Sorry if it doesn't work, it's supposed to link to planet minecraft but the submission is still under review there.

    edit:
Upon reviewing the imgur gallery in my thread I realize it's really out of date, and it doesn't do the pack justice really. Many of the textures shown are from much older versions. Ile be updating that soon, but before I do I'd like to ask you guys what you want to see? I'm really bad at taking screenshots and just presenting stuff in general so I'd like to know. I could take pictures of the individual textures like I've done so far, I could take one of those screenshots of all the blocks at once, I could show some cool terrain, or some epic builds. Please tell me what to do :P Also if you have any good screenshots using this pack please send em to me. I can garuntee you they are an improvement to what I got now.
