I am unable to use REI minimap with Windows 8. It works on another laptop running Windows 7. get an error "unable to create rei mini-map folder". have checked both laptops and everything is the same. has anyone had similar issues? I check all permissions, that seems fine. I can actually watch the folder for REI get created. Thanks!
Received a new laptop which runs Windows 8. The retired laptop ran Windows 7 and the Rei minimap mod worked perfectly. However, trying to run Rei minimap in Windows 8, get a message "Rei minimap folder cannot be created", yet, when I track the folder in the background, I can see the actual folder being created, as well, the same *.dll files appear in Windows 8 as they did in Windows 7. I've run as administrator and have tried to update permissions to ensure that is not the issue. Help!
We can run REI minimap on a windows7 laptop in our house, however, REI does not load for Windows 8, with an error, "unable to create folder for REI minimap"; if i play windows explorer in background, I see the folder being created, no different from Windows 7 vs. Windows 8. HELP!!! I checked permissions, that does not appear to be the issue. Windows 7 is running Java 32 bit, Windows 8 is 64 bit, however error message doesn't help in Minecraft. thanks for any suggestions.
My son switched to a Windows 8 computer (running Java 64) and cannot get REI minimap to work (error is "unable to create rei mini-map folder"; however can get Rei minimap to work on Windows 7. Seems like a permission issue, any ideas?
