    Hey. Globule. Come get some!

    Looking forward to loading this up onto my bukkit server. Should be amusing as I have 12 or so regular players and there isn't all that much space on this thing.

    Might be able to post some images of it getting pulled apart for resources. Don't be surprised if the map turns into a flat plane of stone brick at around y=4 with a missing blob above it.

    Now up to 4 peices on the momument (Which I now realise is the full 16.)
    You have two signs which say green, I assume that one is meant to be lime green as I found the peice of wool for that.

    As of yet I have only moved around on the obsidian sections of the map as the ghasts gave me reason to not go too close to the soulsand until later and the others are quite a way off.

    I was not expecting the pink wool there :B
    I would suggest either removing the outer walls or going over them with a noise brush to make them less flat and blocky. Purely a cosmetic thing but I reckon it will make the map as a whole look a lot better.

    From what I have seen so far it seems like the map will develope to be an interesting one, mostly easy-mid with a couple of harder sections.
    Good idea to make your first map with only the 8 wool as well.

    I am recording all my playtime and I have already died twice like the useless idiot I am :biggrin.gif:
    Just need to pick up some video editing software.

    Man. The blue wool on Nightmare realm.
    Vechs, what's wrong? Were you trying to get that bit over with and move onto something more fun? That was way too easy and kinda boring really.
    Even with all the silverfish stone there are so many cobwebs around that you can place sandstone on that you can still make a really simple path through most of it.

    Loved the super bonus loot in the secret area in just before "The Swarm"
    Somehow I managed to not lose a single item going through it. No wait, lost the minecart that you provided to get there but I don't think that there is a way to save that.
    Loved the dropping the minecart through a block mechanic. I have never seen it before and It's an awesome way of making a 1 way door.

    You do have a slight bug with it. I managed to get through a second time, rather sneakily I might add, using some also interesting minecart mechanics :wink.gif:.
    Didn't manage to get anything new the second time through tho, also your pixel art skills are top notch although I was surprised at the use of torches for illumination.

    There are gold blocks down on the floor in area 16, same one as the black wool if I remember, just look around for the pockets of light on the floor far below.

    It is normal for vechs to place two peices of wool in each area. Certainly I have found 2 at each zone I have moved through in nightmare so-far.
    Only just got the cyan so I couldn't say if the second peice is there yet and I don't have the purple.

    They really wreck my day. I'm there doing reasonably well, and then POOF a creeper at 3 inches away, in a cramped spot, so I can't sprint-attack him. And then he blows up some of the torches I'd slammed down to stop them spawning! And then ANOTHER creeper shows up! Repeat until the dungeon now looks like swiss cheese.

    ...As much as I LOVE the super awesome new bow mechanics...I miss the old "spray-and-pray" function sometimes. ;_;


    You'll love the new one. Funboxes with silverfish spawners and silverfish blocks surrounding them. Good times had by all.

    Yeah. A lot of us have seen that little room.
    I nearly saw it twice.

    Give it another go and don't be so attatched to one area, also, ghasts really arn't that bad. Kinda innacurate and die to 2 bow shots once you get a bow.
    On the starting island the surface really is the way to go!

    Btw vech's. LOVING the nether. if anything it's friendlier and nicer than the normal one. I feel really confused. Oh. as long as you only mine the useful stuff that is. Maybe if you plan to spam us with SF don't also give us a billion flints.

    Imo all the maps have a story:

    "Some psychotic asshole has trapped you in a really nasty place and told you the only way out is by collecting a bunch of brighly coloured peices of wool from an undead and trap filled hellhole."

    It's enough story for an entire series of movies. *COUGH*SAW*COUGH*

    But on topic, yeah. The canopy carnage is one of the only ones with a preset story. Either way it shouldn't be hard for you to come up with something to explain your predicament.
    The dark desert could go well with an evil force plunging the world into eternal darkness etc. Once you have finished the monument go into MCEdit and remove the roof entirely so you can survey the land you saved etc.

    Wait a second. Was just watching some liveplays of the older maps and notice that most people play on the "Normal" setting for difficulty.
    Let's do a tally.
    What difficulty do you guys play these maps on, obviously the only real diffrence is how much damage you take.
    I always play normal maps on hard and just don't bother to change it for the SH series.
    How much diffrence does the slider make? Anyone tried all the settings for a prolonged period of time?

    In nightmare realm there are already signs with fences around and holes to stop endermen.
    One of the signs even references it (Outside the Cyan Dungeon).

    Something that nukes everything is VERY unlikely to show up.
