So recently i was resizing partitions and i apparently messed up the boot files for my windows 10 installation. Before that i had a tri-boot setup between windows 7, windows 10 and Ubuntu 14.04. Windows 7 is installed on a seperate 250 gb hard drive and dissappeared from the Grub bootloader menu a few weeks ago and i just ignored it as i no longer use it anymore, just the disk. so a couple days ago i was shrinking my Linux partition and expanding my Windows 10 partition and apparently messed up the boot files and i get the error 0xc000025 whenever i try to boot windows 10. So from Ubuntu i made a windows 10 install usb and booted from it and attempted to run startup repair and it just glitched out and restarted my computer. So then i went into the command prompt and tried every different combination of bootrec and bcd commands and only managed to run bootrec /fixmbr successfully. All the other commands returned the error element not found. So then i tried selecting every different partition and volume in diskpart and even tried assigning different letters to them the second time around and marking them as active and i still get the element not found error. So then i waited 7 hours and freed up 20 gb of space from another partition and attempted to install windows 10 alongside the other installation hoping that it would make a new system reserved partition/boot section and then delete it afterward but i am unable to do that because i already have Ubuntu and my other Win 10 installation on the same disk and i already have 3 partitions and 2 or 3 more system ones that i didnt create. Im completely stumped and i refuse to format and or reinstall windows 10 over the old and lose my program files, drivers, classic shell settings and other data. Any help would be greatly appreciated and i may have left something out because this is the second time ive had to type this but i believe i covered it all. Thanks in advance.

I will not update just because of this. This update has to many added mechanics to a rather simple game yes some people play more complex with redstone and such but they remove the basic simplicity that everybody loves. With all these new complex mechanics (shields, dual wielding, hit timers, etc.) nobody will want to play anymore because it takes away all the simplicity. When you start out in the world you will have way more to do and accomplish and it will be way to hard to get to a decent standing. New things are cool but changing the basic mechanics of the game can really deter people from playing. Also the way they are throwing around stats and damage and effects of God Apples and everything is to confusing they should just keep it the same and quit changing it because people get used to the way thing work and then comes the update everything they remember about their basic damage willl be wrong and they will misinterpret what they need to kill mobs or anything else which will be very annoying. Another point i will make is that the pvp community is rather large and even though i am not a part of it i understand exactly how they feel and these new mechanics will completely change the way that they work and Minecraft will lose alot of players and they will make less money which is their ultimate goal, but if they want to ruin minecraft its their choice, but i for one have no support for these updates and the things in the current snapshot.

Yo, So i just got a new hard drive and installed Ubuntu, so whats the first thing im gonna do... Get Minecraft of course, simple right? NOPE!!

I have installed both java 6 and 7 jdk's from the Ubuntu software installer, and the 7 and 8 with the apt-get in terminal. I have ran the launcher on Runtime 6, 7, and 8 And they all get the following Crash Report:

Edit: Fixed what i did was change the graphics driver back from the proprietary recommended one back to the open source one.

Yo, so i got a computer j wanna sell the specs are amd phenom x4, quad core at 1.8 ghz 8 gigs of ram and an nvidia geforce gtx 260. I want to sell this and get a good laptop for gaming but for no more than 400$ i want to be able to play minecraft with perfect fpaon normal settings and to run above normal settings good and to be able

to play skyrim, cod, and other slightly more intemsive steam games with good if not max graphics. If someone could please help me find on like im looking for it would he greatly appreciated if i cant get that for less than 400 never mind. I basically

just need the best specs in a laptop incan get for 400$. Thank you!

Well now. First, your premise is wrong. You said you are looking to use MySQL to edit files and view the console. MySQL is an RDBMS, it cannot be used for what you are trying to use it for. Secondly, you cannot just skip dependencies and expect it to function properly, you must install what it says you need to install. Third, you do not need to install MySQL as the host already did that. If the host has 3306 accessible to the world (highly doubtful) you can just download and install something like SQLyog MySQL management. Create a new profile, for the host address you would use whatever the hosting provider issues for this, then the credentials they give you and it would then connect you and you could manage the database(s).

That said, it's like a 99% chance that the host isn't setup to allow you to do that. What is the host? Also, it is irrelevant as it wouldn't fulfill your need anyway.

Well thanks for the reply, and i know it was a run on sentence i was lazy and not expecting to find help anyway. Also i didn't skip all the dependencies (which it was supposed to automatically install for me but told me it couldn't), the 2 that i did skip was because i was unable to manually install them, and it did end up installing correctly. Once i ran i just couldn't figure out how to use it. And also the host (BisectHosting) didnt provide much information either.

EDIT: Also it does have something configured to click and use it with phpMyAdmin.

Hello! So i can seem to figure out how to connect to a mysql database im cant even figure out how to use mysql. lets start from the beginning, i recently switched hosts for my minecraft server to better specs however the control panel absolutely sucks and doesnt even near function properly. So i have been trying to find a way to connect through some desktop application where i could still edit files and view the console, and after much researching i found that i might be able to do that with mysql. So i finally went and tried to get mysql and then the pain really starts when there are so many differant versions and i have no idea which one i need so i go with the community version and have tried multiple differant installers and things and i dont even know but i finally got one and went to install it but then i couldnt because it had 3 unfulfilled requirements so i searched these up to try to find them and install them because mysql said it had to be manually i couldnt find any downloads or installs only mysql bla bla bla running off of this so i skipped the requirements and had problems with what all features did i want and i have no clue so i picked the individual client for connecting to a server that already exists . So i finally have it up and running and i try to make a new connection and i try all connection types and options i can find but i cant find a place for all the information my host provider is giving me to connect and what i do find im not sure how to eneter it especially when the remote host has the same address or hostname as mine (which is just the default local connection address 127.0.0.1) so i have no idea how to conect and all i wanna do is control my server simply from my desktop. If someone could please provide me with some simple help on how to do this ive googled every and can only find tutorials for setting up a database not connecting to an existing one on a remote host. I am very tech savy and a fast learner so im sure if someone shows me how to do it easily one time that will be all i need thank you!

Thanks for the advice really what we need is a good pixel/letter artist and decoraters, and someone to build cool soawns for differant worlds. And we really need a mini game dev for like survival games, spleef, skywars...etc.

Hello, my server SuperCraft is A New and an Old server(long story). And we are changing things up and we need a build team to help build spawns and worlds and more. We are also hiring staff members weekly by top vote by other players, and then rankup vote's by staff. We currently just got a new Hub/Spawn and we need help with pixel and word art for the signs and to decorate the spawn a bit. And above all that, even though i am already really good i could use some dev help ive got permissions and all my plugins configured and the magic works but i need some help setting up survival games and some actual file help to help make the server a bigger mutlimode server with automagic example: skyblock one click automagic and everything just works, and buy kits where you right click a compass or something and it opens a shop menu, stuff like that, i already have Factions, Towny, Creative and Survival worlds setup and configured well, but i need help on a couple others. Plus theres always room for improvement . Please leave a reply telling me what job you want and provide me with some experience or a screenshot if you wanna be on the build team.
