JamesEnder13 posted a message on Legend of the Ender War: Rise of the Ender LordPosted in: LiteratureBefore we begin, this is a book I planned on writing and actually publishing, but I lost the rough draft and never bothered to remake it. Anyway, this is Book 1 of 2 in the Legend of the Ender War series, the next being a secret. So let's begin!
Chapter 1
Years after a nuclear apocolypse, society rebuilt itself. Having limited resources, culture went back to Medieval Times, with only hints of ancient "Modern Society" remaining. Now that mutated creatures of nuclear radiation roamed about the world of Earth, now known as Minecraftia, creatures known as Farlanders set up trading posts to help people fend off the things that went bump in the night. One of which was named Edward, more commonly referred to as Eddie the Mage. This particular fellow was rather young, but gifted. He knew magical items like the back of his hand, and was expertise at crafting and selling these. However, the Farlanders weren't all peaceful. Some of them had rebelled against their peaceful society, declaring themselves The Enderman, an evil race with one goal: To wipe out human society forever. They had a select style, and that was to pose as peaceful, traveling Farlanders, but when someone looked them in the eye, they attacked with no remorse. And so, to wipe out these evil Endermen, a vigilante known as Gunner started a group, known as the Ender Slayers. And so Eddie and his salesmen brothers and sisters sold weapons and the like to these people, and everything went pretty well.
But they couldn't be more wrong.
Chapter 2
Eddie was pretty well known amongst the Humans and the Farlanders. The Endermen seemed to take interest into his abilities, but they despised him due to his good nature, making him a target to attacks. However, not only was he adept at crafting these magical weapons, but he was good with handling them and even combat using them.
"Welcome to Eddie's Sorcery Shop, how may I help you?" asked the Farlander. "I need an enchanted diamond axe, Edward, Sharpness III and Fire Aspect II." replied Gunner Citrus, leader of the Ender Slayers. "Aight, that'll be 5 emeralds and a gold nugget, anything else?" said Eddie. "No, just need a new axe. Thanks."
After a few hours, another Ender Slayer, Ali Nielsman, came along. "Hey, Eddie, do you have a bow with Infinity and Unbreaking III on it? My old one just broke." "Wow Ali, you really need to stop using your bow so much. This is your 6th one this month!" Eddie said. "I know, I know. Lots of Endermen around lately. They are extremely hard to shoot if you don't catch them off guard." Ali replied. "I know, us Farlanders and our teleportation, whaddya gonna do about it? Heh. Anyway, you can have this one for free, maybe you won't use it so much this time." said Eddie. "Now don't come back unless it's to have a picnic!" Eddie and Ali were pretty different, considering the different species and all, but they were pretty good friends, (And don't tell anyone, but I think they like each other) and one thing Eddie wanted was to just chill with her on a picnic, without another Enderman ruining the moment for them. So it was pretty much a lost cause, but he still hoped it would somehow become a reality, and so he kept hoping, and wishing. But he knew that the dark times wouldn't pass by soon, and so he eventually gave up.
