I loved this mod so much i decided to do a comparison video of optifine vs. vanilla. I don't think I'll ever play minecraft without this mod after going vanilla for this video.

I want to start a new server that's basically a much less time consuming version of the game Darkfall but minecraft style.
My ideas:
-Id like to keep the Valhalla idea. So the lore will have something to do with being the afterlife for the warriors lost in battle. There will be lots of PVP and doing of just about anything you feel like.
-Screw keeping it PG. Its Valhalla, what warrior doesn't have a dirty mouth and competitive temper? But, we will not allow continual verbal abuse so that the player base doesn't drop due to being offended.
-Have players able to make their own factions and towns.
-I want players to be able to steal from enemy factions as well as their own factions if they so choose. Letting the factions punish the players as they please. But of coarse have some admin control to make sure its fun for everyone. This means close to no chest protection. Maybe a 1 chest bank in a non pvp town, but that's it.
-Have control points that factions can fight for that produce curtain items. Like a mining town could produce iron, coal, gold, Diamond every hour/day or w/e. And if a faction wants to try and take control of the town, they can via raid.
-Little rules. Main rules would just be no pointless griefing and no newb towers. This is mainly to keep the world visually appealing and not just a mess floating objects or pits everywhere
-Magic-using classes, leveling and reagents
-Quests- collect items or kill mobs/plays for main town npc's for extra in game $ or special items.
-McMMO- To give the players something to work on that cant be stolen.
-Minigames (spleef, races, PVM, Arena , ect...) for when you don't want to be a serious PVPer or gatherer. though, anything lost in these areas are still up for grabs.
-Have some main towns (number depends on how big the community gets but probably no more than 3 or 4) where there is no PVP.
-enchanting/potions-will most likely be nerfed though due to the HUGE advantage a player would have over a newer player or faction.

My topic and description pretty much say it all. Would like it to be a pretty active world. not something where the player cap is 25. pretty much a minecraft server that's like a Darkfall ripoff.
As for the poll. Yes i have hosted a server before but there were not enough sponsors and it went down. It was a PVE server where we mainly built towns (there were some non town buildings too).
Are there any good pvp servers out there? Not servers with a small pvp zone. Im talking about where the main focus of the server is about building and killing people in the same zone. I've been thinking about starting a server like so. i would write more info but its 1:30am and im going to sleep.
I bet everyone would download this mod if someone could make it if it isnt already a mod. If so, then please drop the link. I play on a server that normally has +50 ppl and i cant play pvp with chat consuming my whole screen. Yeah i could turn off general chat or something but they dont have chat for ctf or event. So is there a mod that makes the chat box only go up like 1/4 of what it does now?

TSS or True Survival Server is a english speaking, white list, survival server for minecraft. If you don't know what minecraft is and play PC games, it is a MUST try. We are running off of a rented server that holds a max of 10 players. It is a 24/7 dedicated server currently ran by donations. We have mumble and a livestream channel.
TSS is not like most survival servers. We believe you should chop your wood for your first tools (instead of using /kit) and start building away in a friendly environment. Well, during the day anyways. Our server is not a PVP server
BUT does have PVP areas. Although role playing is not the main focus of our server, it is encouraged so that everyone can feel welcome to play as they please as long as its within the rules.
The server is currently running for the 1.4_01 Beta. The server will update with the plugins it runs and not for the client (with exceptions). Tutorials for downgrading and re-updating can be found in our forums and announcements.
Plugins
Player usable plugins:
LWC - Allows many chest protection settings
NetherGate - Allows NetherGates to link you to the nether.
StarGate - allows transportation between gates.
iConomyChestShop - Allows selling & buying of items for server side coin (doesn't take up inventory space).
Spawn Control - Allows admins to set spawn and players to /spawn.
Tombstone - Drops a chest with belongings inside upon death (need to have a chest or 2 (for large chests) in inventory). It is lwc enabled so no one can grave rob you. Although after 6 hours everything will disappear and after 30min lwc is removed making it far game.
AdminCmd - Gives admins and mods many commands for doing their job. Also gives everyone the ability to private message people & the +$10 doners to tp to eachother.
Admin plugins:
BigBrother - allows monitoring of all history of any block, chest or air.
Vanish - allows admins/mods to be invisible to players. Best used when spying on possible griefers or looters to catch them red handed.
WorldEdit - im not even going to try and explain this because of how much it does.
NoCheat - Prevents exploiting of bugs and can notify admins/mods if told to do so.
We have tuts for all plugins on the forum.

so i currently rent a server from multiplay but hate having to use their dumb clanforge in order to run my server (pain in the ass when it comes to bukkit) when someone told me about a different server rental company. Seems like it would be much cheaper than multiplay with a BIG boost in player cap. So im just wondering how many players you believe this hardware could withstand with no lag. We back up our server every couple of hours and its very obvious who is griefs in our server. We are all very protective and truthful.
Player usable plugins:
LWC - Allows many chest protection settings
NetherGate - Allows NetherGates to link you to the nether.
StarGate - allows transportation between gates.
iConomyChestShop - Allows selling & buying of items for server side coin (doesn't take up inventory space).
Spawn Control - Allows admins to set spawn and players to /spawn.
Admin plugins:
BigBrother - allows monitoring of all history of any block, chest or air.
Vanish - allows admins/mods to be invisible to players. Best used when spying on possible griefers or looters to catch them red handed.
WorldEdit - im not even going to try and explain this because of how much it does.
NoCheat - Prevents exploiting of bugs and can notify admins/mods if told to do so.

* Every player that donates $5.00 (US Currency) will reserve their spot on the dedicated private server, along with gain the use of the commands /sethome & /home.
* Every player that donates $10.00 (US Currency) or more will reserve their spot on the dedicated private server, gain the use of the commands /sethome, /home & /tp for fast travel to your friends!

TSS is not like most survival servers. We believe you should chop your wood for your first tools (instead of using /kit) and start building away in a friendly environment. Well, during the day anyways. We are not a PVP server (but do have areas that allow pvp) because i want new comers to feel welcome instead of getting ganked all the time for resources (*cough* Darkfall *cough*). Although role playing is not the main focus of our server, it is encouraged so that everyone can feel welcome to play as they please as long as its within the rules.
The server is currently running for the 1.3_01 Beta. The server will update with what version the players want! I will post tutorial in our forums and announcements on how to keep your minecraft client at the version the server is running for.
