Does anyone have any suggestions for more slabs/improvements?
The only improvement suggestion I have is one I've already stated and one you've acknowledged -- Bukkit support. (Or perhaps Spout support, not sure if it could work with Bukkit.)
My God, man, if you did that, I would love you forever. Some of my users have to use stone slabs where they have glass structures and it hurts overall look.
Mycelium is to a mushroom biome as grass is to a plains biome. It also consumes nearby dirt blocks just like grass.
I'm glad to see this updated to 1.0.0! Would you mind if I asked if you have looked into Bukkit development for servers?
Sorry, this mod is currently only for vanilla servers.
I have heard of ModLoaderMp for bukkit, this requires some more work on my end, and I'll look into this.
Oh man, you have no idea how much I would love you if you did. One of the biggest peeves I've had with Minecraft is the lack of different types of slabs (that and corner-type stair blocks, which I think I read you're looking into as well, which would only double my confessed love).
This mod will only work with the vanilla server, right? As in, not one with Bukkit installed, since Bukkit uses a different .jar file for running a server.
Correct me if I'm wrong. I have a server with Bukkit installed and I would love to figure out how to get this to work if it can. We could use these big time.
Yep, I can confirm it as well. It happens when clicking it while looking at any entity that moves (when in range) -- mobs (hostile/docile), minecarts, players, the lot.
It can't be an "old world" glitch; I built a redstone circuit on a brand new 1.0 world (on SMP) and this suddenly started happening to me, too. All circuits are connected properly, no circuit mistakes at all. In fact, it happened while I was using it. I hit the switch, output turns on, hit it again, output turns off like normal. I hit it one more time, and nothing happened.
A server restart temporarily fixes it until it happens again for whatever reason I still have yet to find out. As it turns out, this is documented in the "Known bugs" list, dealing with chunk updates. Not sure why it happens but I hope they fix it soon: http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Known_bugs#Redstone_Torches
OK, now i have a weird bug. The audio does not work. I hear the drums when the Bethesda logo comes up on boot, but no in game sounds. On top of that, the subtitles do not display properly. They zoom by way to fast, displaying for only about a second before taking me to the "chat decisions" menu. its like the conversations are on fast forward. Also, the non-conversation sub-titles are not displaying even though I have that option enabled. Any advice?
Explanation:
I had this problem with one particular character, where the subtitles would zip by and their voice files would not play. After some searching I found out this was a common issue. It seems that this character's voice files weren't being read properly (or at all) from their .bsa file (compressed folder used by Bethesda games). The fix was to download the BSA Unpacker (created for Morrowind, but works for Oblivion and Skyrim as well), and extract all the voices for this one character into the Data folder for Skyrim. It sounds like that's happening to you, but on a far larger scale.
Solution (in case you want to skip explanation):
Do you have a folder named "Data" in your Steam directory for Skyrim that has a bunch of .bsa files whose names begin with "Skyrim"?
(Non-Steam example looks like this: http://i.imgur.com/KMFXO.png)
If so, follow these steps:
- Download the BSA Unpacker
- Use it to open and extract everything from the following three files into your Data folder:
--- Skyrim - Voices.bsa
--- Skyrim - VoicesExtra.bsa
--- Skyrim - Sounds.bsa
You should now have a folder named "sound" in your Data directory (as seen in the screenshot). That should fix it.
Report back the results, if you please. I'm highly curious if this issue is that easily solved.
I would also like to submit my approval for this mod. Minecraft runs incredibly smoothly with high FPS on 3 machines with this mod, on which it otherwise didn't run very well.
I would like to nominate this mod to be the next one Notch officially implements.
This might sound a bit silly, but how do I copy the class files into minecraft.jar? There is no 'paste' option and CTRL+V doesn't work either. I'm using 7 Zip.
I started using DokuCraft today, and followed the instructions for installing Optimine+Optifog for HD texture packs (leaving out ji.class). It works -- I'm using DokuCraft and Optimine+Optifog, and all is fine and dandy... except water and lava are giving me the "patcher noob" texture. Do I still need to use MCPatcher to fix this, or is there an option in Optimine+Optifog that will cure this that I'm missing?
Is it possible for the OP to use something other than the website he currently uses to host the files?
Every time I click on either download link, I get the stupid adf.ly page that won't let me continue until I complete the survey. And the method of reloading, stopping, then reloading doesn't work.
I am disappoint.

This is what I see. Build 1337 for 1.8.1.
The lower one is a snapshot from the version in development for 1.0.0/1.0.1.

It must be on certain occasions; I've used it a few times recently and it hasn't affected the torches as of yet.

Actually, 7-Zip works perfectly well.
All you have to do is right click minecraft.jar, go to the 7-Zip context menu, and click "Open archive". Then drag and drop just like with WinRAR.

Try turning off Advanced OpenGL.

All of my animations are set to ON, by the way.
