As many of you know I have been thoroughly addicted to Killion over the better part of the past two years, and at the moment I dont really have any strong desires to play video games at all, which is exactly the position I want to be in before school starts. Coupled with a general lack of free time I will probably be spending much less time on killion. This isn't a quit post cuz I've already tried that a billion times. I'll still get on of course, but I'm gonna try to not really get into any projects or anything in game.

Hello, this is Frevee, an active guard on Killion. I'm here to suggest another enchantment to guard armor.
I really think it would be helpful to add Unbreaking level 1/2 to the guard's armor kit. Once our helmet breaks, most guards are done. Critical hits can take us out in 2/3 hits with strength 2. Even skilled guards, who last longer than that, are completely screwed over once their boots break. Easy 2 hit kill with strength 2. Unbreaking would help us so much in a fight. It would give us a chance against the people who have 400+ durability on their armor, while our armor breaks in 10-20 hits with strength 2.
I'm sure almost all other guards agree with me on this, as it would make a HUGE difference for guards to fight players.
Tyler_TPS has been DDos'ing me daily in an attempt to get me to give him stuff in game. This is impacting my dad while he works, my brother while he plays after coming home from work, and myself of course, who is trying to enjoy a bit of gaming.
If anyone knows a specific way to protect myself from DDos'ing please msg me on here. (half the time i join the server i get DDos'd). And when i say specific, i dont mean "change your ip"

Why should you be unmuted? I cussed in global when chat was messed up and VU muted me. I msg'd him about it and he said its a bug that causes some temp mutes to be perm mutes.

I've got one account banned for "BOOM, ban ;_;" and another account banned for "goodbye" I know someone who got perm muted for "bye" and people who are banned for reason "bai". Those are all legit reasons for bans amirite?
My point is that you need to think of the pros and cons behind every one of your suggestions or else this server / your idea will have issues...
did you ever stop and think that maybe our suggestions HAVE been looked at from that angle? You don't even play on here anymore. of the very few remaining active players, it would be nice to have some changes. Changes that would bring the server back. As I see it now, kdc looks like its gonna be dead by the end of the year. I've logged far to many hours into the server to want it to close. Everyday its a pretty common thing in clan and ally chat "I'm bored", and so those of us making suggestions are saying what we think/know will help the server.
Which is awesome if you want to play with cheaters, spammers, advertisers and general d*cks. There is a reason banned players are banned. The point of banning someone is saying "You're not good for the community and we don't want you back". Sure, there are maybe a few players here and there who truely did make mistakes, feel bad for them and want to come back, there are unlocks available for those people. But the majority of banned players don't care about the server, don't care about the community, can't be bothered to follow rules... the list goes on and on. Like I said, there is a reason they're banned.
Of all the people I personally know that have been banned and then bought an unlock, none of them came back and continued hacking/spamming and such. Not all people who have been banned are "cheaters, spammers, advertisers and general d*cks." A lot of bans on kdc are total bs, from being an alt of someone to insulting one of the wardens favorites, or even opening your own prison server. SO. MANY. PEOPLE. ARE. BANNED. You say we need to advertise and such, yet all kdc has to do is allow some of its players to come back... Even I am starting to get bored on here, not to mention most people I talk to. large amounts of players are what made kdc fun a few years ago, all we want is a large amount of players back. Would you rather no server, or a server filled with people who have been banned once, and are ready to come back to the server and play legitimately?

Your welcome today that I saw was after I already called you out. The other 12 or so must have been PM welcomes. It's a rarity to see someone welcome a new player.
There are 43 people online right now. For a saturday evening in the summer time, that is pretty damn good.
If you're rarely bored, what's the problem? like 20 new people are joining every day. if you want more people to talk to, talk to one of them.
If you havent seen me semi-consistently welcoming players to killion, then you probably aren't active enough to understand what I'm saying. Not to mention DISHxRAIDS welcomes EVERYONE that joins, and several prisoners welcome people sometimes.
On top of that, the server will not be popular to xrayers. Read my post. I said Xray is a 1-2 week temp ban with the player losing all items and rank.
A lot of people seem to say that "the server just got a lot of changes, why are you asking for more?"
My counterargument to that is
1) The changes are AWESOME, I love pretty much all of them.
2) Just because some-even a lot- of changes happen, it still could not be enough
3) The changes don't revolve around what myself and other players see as the issue.
I just want to say that with all my criticism I forgot to leave out that I am actually very impressed with how the wardens have been holding up the server since half the admin team quit. Kdog has done a FANTASTIC job as a normal warden on killion and Mark has been doing a pretty good job making some cool changes to intox and kdc. All of us making suggestions DO NOT want to see the server die, and are merely offering the players point of view on the issues.
Also, When the new EULA changes come out, I suggest that premium perks become voter/citizen perks. Citizens are in need of more perks now-a-days and perhaps a new challenge like prestige would be a useful way to still have premium perks not available to all.
Asking an honest question here... Do you want ALL cheaters and hackers unbanned, or just the ones who are your friends/ you look up to as "important members of the community"? Take a good hard think about that. You really think that's an awesome idea? You think it's a good plan to bring back people, who were basically kicked out, just so numbers can grow?
The server has actually been pretty steady lately. Everytime I'm on I see quite a few new faces. And I don't know what else you want "new" for the server... there've been map resets and prestige and capture points, crates and euphoria, the prison was completely rebuilt, and this was all mostly with imput from the community, people begged for these things. Did it keep them? No, instead people are complaining about the server being boring. There is so. much. to. do. on this server. Seriously, a good experience on the server is up to you, it's not going to be handed to you. If the only change you can think of is bringing back all the banned players... I mean, I have never seen a server NOT ban permenently when people are caught cheating/hacking. I KNOW you really don't think that's a good idea, to have every person from c-citizen, unbanned, I mean, that's just crazy. I KNOW there's select few people you have in mind and they honestly didn't make the servers experience any better, some of them were actually pretty foul and it's of no real loss that they're banned.
The change I would like to see in the server is frees and up, from a few years ago, realizing that it's never going to be like it was before. There was turn over. You're not a powerful players who's in charge any more. Holding onto the old and golden days really does nothing but hinders the growth of the new people who're joining up now. Come on in the afternoon, just sit and watch the chat for a few hours and you'll see a bunch of people from c-elite creating their own friendships and their own exeriences. They're going to be giving the server it's new dynamic. If you want to help them mould it, I would suggest showing them how you want the server to be played (not just you,eggroll, mostly speaking about people who come on and stand around freevile while complaining about being bored).
I don't really think at all that Killion's about making money. I mean, honestly, there are 100's of far, faaaaaar easier ways to make cash, and I can only imagine how much time has went into this server, that running it only for money doesn't really seem worth it. If it was just for cash, they would be charging more than $15 for 30 days of premium play.
If you want more welcoming and helpful, eggroll, you can be it too. Be the change you want to see. I'm currently on the server, as are you, new players have been joining and i've yet to see a "welcome" from anyone.

So during the school year, I was in AP computer science and I would often be bored and a few times I went through old MCF posts for kdc and one post that I saw has stayed on my mind and I feel now is the perfect time to bring it up.

That's the way people playing on the server during its peak felt about it. Nowadays its just "spend 15$ to get premium, anvils are nice" Not many people truly care about the server anymore.
I think the main reason for this is the way EG staff treat us players. The most recent example of this is when Burnteggoz was running around as a guard, and he has a policy of no-returns on armor, never gives escorts, kills people during fights and just blaming them for getting in the way etc. Yes, he knows the rules extremely well and all that jazz, but he really was not kind to anyone, and all he seemed to do was make everyone unhappy. True, he isn't a full EG staff member, but he WAS sr guard for a very long time, and was basically the leader of guards. Skyblu and Starzy were also very bad about this. Yes, a small percentage of the time they were HILARIOUS, but the rest of the time they were mean, unhappy, and just overall made the server feel unwelcoming. I know that owning a clan isn't even close to the same as owning the server, but to an extent I understand the reasoning behind not answering a lot of questions regarding denials and such, but with so many new people and players, that's just going to happen, and the chat mods are able to still be very welcoming and helpful to players.
With the new EULA stuff thats happening, I think EG needs to re-hash its rules.

Xray's need to be a temp ban. Why even is it a perm ban. "cheating is unfair". The amount of ores and such that someone can get before being banned is minimal compared to the amount of ores and such that someone else can get while mining legitimately in 1-2 weeks. if xray were a a 1-2 week temp ban, causing the player to lose all their stuff AND their rank, it would be substantial punishment while still allowing the player to continue on kdc. I've talked to at least 20 people about this, and they ALL agree with me. A LOT of people want this implemented. Killion is continuing to die as the weeks go on, and something completely new is needed.
Mute rules also need to be re-done. The mute rules are super harsh for people who may not even know the rules. Hell, the mute rules aren't even written out anywhere in detail. Perm mutes for the FIRST offense qualifying for perm mute is ridiculous. EG needs to focus on warnings before permanent punishment sooooo much more. It's so frustrating that everything is always quickly handed out and is permanent. A fair amount of people would come back in the event that that happens. Within the past few weeks kdog has been an extremely helpful/nice admin, and she even warned me when I did something temp bannable and told me I shouldn't do it.
Everyone says that EG needs to advertise and such, but I disagree. Killion has the all the players it needs, but the Admins are too stubborn to create the server that people want to play and stay on. So many people are/stay banned for such bad reasons.
The server is 100% in Mark's hands right now. I'm curious if he'll decide if he cares more about money, or more about keeping the server together. As for me and most players, We all assume that you guys just will continue to care about the money. Please surprise us.
