Also, you might want to have a link to https://github.com/BigBastard/Valkyrien-Warfare-Revamped/issues on the OP so that people know where to report bugs.

I don't have a huge amount of time for modding these days, so I doubt you're facing any real competition. Good luck with your mod.
Ships Mod is GPL of course, so feel free to borrow anything if it helps you. If you want to use a GPL compatible license, that is.
Eh I don't get why there has to be a competition. I personally like your ship mod, and I think it has amazing potential and only become more interesting as people use it for their own add-on or idea. -

Unlike mods before this, Valkyrien Warfare incorporates world regions, GJK ray-trace collision, and a custom (in house) Physics Engine designed to make your airship experience as realistic, and enjoyable as possible.
It supports players walking on ships, rotation on all 3 axes, perfect block interaction (semi-perfect with other mods), SMP support, Multi-Threaded collision physics, and really whatever you can think of.
Its a labor of love, coming directly from fans of airship combat in Minecraft, we hope you enjoy it.

I love you man! That's the kind of description of the problem I've been needing to get this fixed. Hopefully, I can get it working soon.
Also, some of the mods still don't have proper item textures :/ . I know it looks bad but its really on the bottom of my priorities to get those fixed, build 0.9 doesn't write itself you know? That being said I probably won't release 0.9 until I've got those sorted, as 0.9 is supposed to be the 100% absolute bug-free update.

Also as a message to the rest of the thread, I know not much has been put out for a while, that's because for update 0.9 we've been busily finding and fixing any and all known bugs that occur in the usage of VW. The bugfixing isn't rather flashy or fun :/, buts its absolutely critical for this mod to become playable that no issues occur.
That said, we've got some great plans for what we want to add next, and that we're really excited to see the Skybase Dream finally becoming a reality.
We've come a long way from starting this mod out of nothing, and we're just making our final stretch to get things ready. I just hope us turtles haven't been coding this thing too slowly for you guys XD.

Hmmm, I believe I fixed a bug similar to that a week ago or so, but that hasn't been enough time for it to make it onto the releases page yet :/
Can you try this version (#98) https://jenkins.ironhide.de/job/Valkyrien-Warfare-Revamped/98/ and report back whether the issue still persists?

No 1.7.10, that would literally consume 100s of hours of my life to make a mod on a dying version of minecraft
