I am buying a minecraft server for a few friends and I to play on. what amount of ram should i get for 0-8 players. 512 MB - ?

correct and incorrect he may be trying to access one of two different files i found a random properties file with a ton more info than my custom while my custom was locked this wasnt try re writing it or hacking into it if server goin down doesnt work

bump this still isnt resolved and my new deadline is closing in D: should i just rent a server? or use my **** old computer that still can handle windows 98... but has nice op sys? what do?

ddos is illegal and if he claims he will do it call the mofo cops! itll be funny if he turns out to be some 7 yr old kid. have a recording of him saying " i will ddos your server" and he shall be arrested. youll be safe, no worries! besides if he does ddos and you lose data there is a 0.05% chance you can sue him i think. it will only be sue-able if you lose any type of $. (digital law school rocks took 1 day of it)
if it turns out he is using a proxy ask proxy providers if the ip he is using is owned by them. if you find it out, they can shut it down. this it a time staking process thoughhere is an example of whats happening skip to 15:10

i would tell your friend to tell his friends to tell his, etc, etc, it works. or advertize on yt/fb/ or any other social media sites steam is a good resource

no i cant connect with worldguard and i attempted to port forward with port map here is a snap of what the port looks likeand here is the properties file for my server

Your server is running, minus Worldguard which seems to be having problems. If you cannot connect, it is probably because you are firewalled somewhere there. Disable your firewalls or port forward, or you will not be able to connect.

but when im in minecraft i cant connect should i connect to my 192.168 one or my 6*.8*.7*.7*?
when i try to connect to 6*.8*.7*.7* AND 192.168.10.4* they both say connection refused... i tried port forwarding for 192.168, but then i just cant connect to the server at all
