    I will wait paitently. And hope. Waiting and hoping... You know what is going to make this even cooler ?! The new map height limit being 256 instead of 128. And what better way to get all the way up there to your super-awesome floating cloud city than in Pchan Airship ??!! I so can't wait.

    Welcome to the new Kaizo Caverns! In this episode we don't accomplish much, I'm mainly just messing about. We do find a renewable source of food and create our fancy base. We finish off with a tour around our new headquarters. Hollowing out the stone took FOREVER! Enjoy :smile.gif:

    I would've shown a stop motion of the building process but unfortunately I edit my own videos and that would've taken far too much time, so a tour of the completed project will have to do :smile.gif:

    posted a message on MineOS CRUX - The most simple way to host minecraft
    Hey hexparrot. I absolutely LOVE MineOS CRUX. What a wonder platform to host MC servers on, and the web interface improvements are astounding. A big thank you!

    My CRUX is up and running, hosting out a MC server with no problems. But now I am trying to add a second server on port 25566. I see that in iptables only 25565 is open. So, I log on as root and issue the following command:
    iptables -A INPUT -p tcp -m tcp --dport 25566 -j ACCEPT

    But, what I get is this response:
    iptables V1.4.9.1: Couldn't load match '--dport':/usr/lib/xtables/libipt_--dport.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

    I am not Linux savvy, but I did determine that the there is no such file at that location. I've been following along at http://minecraft.codeemo.com/buildmineos/index.php/Iptables, but must have something wrong or missed a setting somewhere?

    Can you please advise?

    Hi Will, I believe I may have solved my own problem. I logged on as root and used 'vi' to edit my iptables-rules file directly. Then saved and applied the new rules. And bingo, the additional port is open.

The map had been challenging and I had died a few times in earlier areas, but I always had fun trying to think up new ways around the problems presented. Until the Ilvern mines. In the end I just made around 20 lava buckets and bathed the place in liquid fire, died a few times in the process. It was such a step up in difficulty, I felt like I had hit a brick wall. Anyways, I haven't finished the map yet, so maybe intersection 3 is just as hard/harder. I just needed to vent my rage a little.

    Awesome Couchy, I feel your pain. That mine was such like freakin torture, took me days of creeping progress to get though that dungeon. I went back a few times after and the place just feels so empty and depressing, all lit up and mob-less. Definitely one of my favorites.

    Hey XNavyNuke, if you enjoyed those maps then I would have to say 'yes' it's worth going back and replaying with the new content. Even if all you use are the enchanted signs, it's a blast and you'll have the advantage of knowing your way around already. I haven't actually played the new versions of these 2 yet, but I have done Kaizo before and after the updates, there was a lot of new content. Including an entirely new area.

    I am going to play through the new versions of Sea of Flame II and Infernal Sky II soon, although there are certain dungeons I am not looking forward to repeating...I basically end up going for the diamonds first, then blasting my way through the rest of the map looking for new stuff.

    Know what you mean about a faster computer. Had to upgrade recently so I could play Legendary.

    Hey SolitaryWolfXD. Fun episode, I had to laugh at your trash bin. I just built the same exact thing last night. Same location too, only I did not add the symmetrical signs. I had gotten lazy and fell into that blasted lava pit. So once I got back it was time to lay down a cobblestone floor. I thought, why waste this perfectly good lava? Trash bin time!
    I am a few wool ahead of you, playing though the new Kaizo myself. I am having fun with all the silver fish. Heck, if nothing else it's a great way to get exp points.

    I remember my first time through Kaizo Caverns, definitely one of the hardest starts I've experienced in the SH realm. Man, you get nothing, and lots of pain between you and your first worthwhile block. I love it. Playing it through again tonight.

    Hi Poopoo, hmmm, dates... Even if you had the original release dates, some of the SH maps have been modified since then. But, I have all of the current releases downloaded and what I've done is pull the last modified date right off the map files themselves. This should be the last date that any change was made to the map itself. Now, as for what version of MC was out at the time, I'll leave that for you to determine. I recommend Cyborg's Tools - MCNostalgia.
