[I had installed your Timber Mod 1.2.4 and when i play the game it doesn't work. I am chopping it from the bottom wood piece and it still doesn't. I don't know if i had installed it wrong or if i am just doing it wrong.]
Not sure if you know or not, but your mod is posted here, without giving credit...
I know it's yours because the screenshot shown is exactly the same as one of the ones that you have, and the download link leads to the exact same place... (Just thought you might want to know)
Will you be making a version of Timber! for SMP? It's an awesome (and useful) mod, and friend that's running the server keeps complaining about the amount of time to cut down entire trees multiple times one block at a time to get enough wood...
Anyway, take these for the current Timber! mod (even though it doesn't have SMP support...)
On the topic of Canadia being awesome, did you know they got rid of the penny? No more 1 cent coins. It's rounded now to the nearest nickel. Of course, if you use a credit card it's still the exact amount, but there are no more pennies in circulation.
It's brilliant.
Pricing is still the same (not rounded to a nickel), and pennies are still in circulation, they just won't be making them anymore (they cost more than a cent each to make. 1.6 cents for every one cent coin). Phasing out of the penny will start this fall ("The government will phase the penny out starting this fall, when the mint will stop distributing the coin to financial institutions.").
"Over time, the penny will effectively become extinct, although the government has noted that one-cent coins will always be accepted in cash transactions for as long as people are holding on to them."
Yes, it is, but "zed" isn't technically Canadian. It's British, which means that all countries that use British English (Canada, Austrailia, etc.) use "zed". Americans refer to it as the Canadian way of saying it. I guess they just don't like being seen as the odd one out.
I know it is British, but in North America, it's considered Canadian.
Funny thing is, that's not stereotypical. We end a lot of sentences with eh, apologize quite a bit, love our maple syrup, hockey is a big deal, it snows for at least four months every year (so I assume most Canadians have seen snow before turning one) and we are supposed to say "z" as zed. (That last one reminds me of when VintageBeef called Zisteau "Zedsteau" because there are no "zees" in Canada, eh?)
It is stereotypical, but who says that stereotypes can't be true?
- Most of my family (and a bunch of my friends) end their sentences with "eh"
- Maple syrup is AWESOME!! Incidentally, Canada produces something like 80% of the world's maple syrup, and 90% of that comes from Quebec
- I first saw snow when I left the hospital after I was born (born in January), my mom and grandpa would've been the same (February and January respectively). Also, I live in Alberta, and I've seen snow in every month of the year (only once in June and July, about 13 years ago, when I was 5).
- "Zed" is considered "Canadian" in North America, but for some reason, the first elementary school I went to taught "zee" instead...
PS: For anyone that likes stand-up comedy, check out Glen Foster (AKA "That Canadian Guy" (thatcanadianguy.com)). He is a very funny Canadian comedian. I just had to mention him because we're talking about Canadian stuff and I'm watching Just For Laughs on Comedy...
May I remind all of you bastards the temperature here in rural (NOT Outback, NOT seaside) Australia is always ****ing freezing. The highest temperature all year has been around 35 celsius, because it ****ing rained all summer. :/
(although, we only get negative temperatures at 5 am, so for it to carry up to noon is a bloody achievement)
It's either stormy and humid at around 30 or sunny and frosty at about 5, or the rare occasion where clouds stop the everlasting frost and we get a good 20-25 day. And then there's today. Stormy, not humid at all and windy as sauce.
35 Celsius is COLD?!?
That is way too hot for me! The highest temperature I've been in is around 38-40, and I couldn't even go more than 10 minutes without water (I also barely went to the washroom that day, I was so dehydrated from sweating...)
I'm Canadian, and very proud of being able to live in an area that usually has the lowest temperature in the world for a few days every year (approximately a 20-minute drive east of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada), and that's including Russia, Antarctica, and the Arctic...
Vechs: Your maps look amazing! I only just started playing one of them (I just finished downloading all of them though...), and so far, it is the hardest map I've played, and a very close second to best made (right after Hyrulecraft (I'm a huge Zelda fan, other than the Wii and DS games), because the people that are working on it included all but the most insignificant details from the entire overworld from the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (you can find it here))
Minecraft will never be on the Wii. Microsoft have bought the rights to have Minecraft only on their systems. It will only ever be on systems like the Xbox.
You are right about it never coming to the Wii, just not for the right reasons... The Wii is about to be replaced by the Wii-U, so it wouldn't be worth it...
Now, to the thing about the contracts. Contracts expire, so it could go to other consoles in th future, just not right now...
Personally, I think for anyone saying that Xbox/PS3 controls aren't a good fit for Minecraft, why not? It's pretty much a FPS for how it controls, and both consoles have plenty of these (the controls are better on Xbox though).
Also, look at most other games on PC... Pretty much all of them are compatible with a controller, which is usually a wired 360 controller, or one with a very similar layout to it and the PS controller...

It is... Check the first post of this thread...

Shouldn't the 1.2.4 version work? If it does, it's the sixth file down from the top.

In the States, people say "Z" as "zee," and most of us Canadians say it as "zed"

I don't like The Office, but that was awesome.
