I had to deal with about 10 people all attacking me about me banning a hacker, all his friends were spamming my chat and swearing at me. I simply warned them then banned them aswell, they were warned multiple times and still continue, they don't make the game fun for others therefore shouldn't be allowed on the server.

The new world, I hope that it is as good as I have heard, the reason why I’m comming here is so I can provide for my family back in the Motherland. I also came to save myself from the revelution, and the war that was breaking out, for I surly would be killed; I had hiden my family away for the war before I arived in America.

“Oh it pronounced Mikhail Smirnov”,
“Alright Mik you’re clear to go in, welcome to Chicago.” (That was the first time I’d ever been called Mik but it soon became my nickname) I was far to excited to be here, because of what the americans call prohibition or the ban of alcohol my restaraunt should take up fast. When I was just a small boy I was the first in my family to learn how to read and write, but what I loved most of all was I loved to read cook books from the new world. I learnd to cook quickly but sadly when the revelution started I was forced to burn my books by the red army, because they (like most russians) didn’t like the ideals of the capitalist ways. Now that I’m in the America I have already met a man who everyone calls ‘Scarface’ but he did not have a single scar on his body that I could see (little did I know he would become one of my only friends here).
“So this is the establishment that you are selling?” I ask the realestate man,
“Yes siree; this building can be converted into any type of establishment to fit your accomidations, for a price of corse.” He tells me that there is a one room appartment on top of the building that is is included with the purchase.
“What is this building cuttently outfitted for?” I ask,
“Well I don’t quite know how to answer that question sir, but as far as i know it is ready to be a restarant. But be warnd if you do buy this place Al and his “friends” will be making stopes here every week or so!” He said with a cautious look on his face
“Who is Al and why should I be afraid of him?” I politely ask the man,
“Well Al is the main boss of the area so he has alot of power here, some people like to call him Scarface or The Big One.” he replied,
“Oh I have already meet a man called Scarface at the soup kitchen and he was very nice to all of the people, he seemed like a reasonable man to deal with so I’ll take this building. I can pay in full for all acomidations that I am going to require.” I said this with my pride as a Russian on my back, I could almost feel my commrads chearing me on at the time.
“You sure are a strange man, but I sure am happy that you’re making this purchase, it gets my quota for the week, but let’s get to the matter at hand... payment that is.” he tells me that it will cost me 1500 for the first payment and then 500 for the next 12 months.
“Would it be fine if I pay you all the required money now to get it out of the way?” I ask with genuin curiosity,
“Well of course, but surly you don’t have 7500 on you right now, do you?” I could see the puzzled look on the mans face,
“Here this should be a sufficient payment for this establishment.” I hand him a case filled to the brim of Ruble (that is the Russian currency).
“Holy **** man, how much money is in here?” He said with astonishment,
“I beilive that there is around 450,000 ruble in that case and I have about another 500000 with me right now to buy all that I am going to need.” This I said like I was talking with one of my comerads back home,
“Can yea please tell me how much US currency this is worth?” He asked politely
“Boy you sure do like questions, it is worth right around 7766.79 in US currency.”
“Dam! Yeah man this is more than enough to buy this place, have fun living in Chicago sir.” After he gave me the key to the place he got into his car and drove away.

“Good Morning Al” I say as Scarface enters my restaraunt like he does once a week.
“Hey Mik, how’s buisness going?”
“It is doing just fine but I wish that I could get more costomers in here” I say this because I would like to meet more people than the reguals that come in to get some soup and quiche,
“Well Mik I gotta proposel for yea then”
“What would that be?” I ask this because whenever Al has a question he generaly has something else in mine than just a question or a request,
“I wanna put a speakeasy in your shop here.”
“What on earth is a speakeasy?”
“Well yea see Mik it’s a type of bar that is put in stores so people can drink without worry.”
“Ok I think I could put one in but where would it go?”
“Most likly it would go into your backroom because it has a lot of space as I here”
“Yeah after I cleaned it out I was able to get alot of extra space, you could even make one of thouse cool fake bookshelf doors to get back there”
“Wow there champ we can’t talk about this right now but we’ll be in touch with you very soon about it.”
Normaly when Al comes into my shop he comes to buys some food and chats for awhile or he’s here to run a soup kitchen, but today he just talked for maby 12 minuts and then left. Maby a week later Al showed up at my restaraunt after it closed to discuss our “buisness” arangement.
“So Mik you said something about a false bookshelf?”
“Oh yes, when I was coming to america I read some books that were about spys and they had false bookshelves as doors to a seacret layer of sorts.”
“Hmmm... I like the idea but we’ll have to put it in before any of the speakeasy items if you wanna stay open while we put it in.”
“No problem I have a bookshelf that we can use for the door, it’s in the store room right now.”
“Gee thanks Mik, by the way you’re a Russian native right?”
“Yes, why do you ask?”
“Well you speak english very well and I was wonderin, where did you learn to speak like that?”
“I learned it while I was coming to america and when we first met some two years ago my english was very bad and broken, but now it is better through practice.” After I said that Al just waved goodbye and left me in peace, so I ended up writing another letter to my daughter;
Dear дочь, It is good to write to you again. I have receved one of your letters and I and glad to know that you are alright. Please know that even though I hate all things to do with the millitary I am prode to be your отец. But more importantly what is this about a grandchild, did you find a man to call your own? That part of the letter was darkend by the fire place so I could not read much of it. But you libarated Auschwitz, good for you I hope that you’re having fun back home and I miss you very much.

It is a bright June morning, it reminds me on why this city is “the windy city”, the tornado siren woke me up this morning but I thought nothing of it. Later in the day Al walked in to have breakfast and a beer like normale,
“Morning Al, are you going to have your usual?”, I say as Al limps into the restaraunt,
Al usualy gets 2 eggs with some bacon and black coffie
*in a groggy voice* “Sure Mik, but insted of my black coffie can you get me a ginger ail insted?”
“Yes, is everything alright? You don’t sound like a healthy man.”, I only ask this because he is normaly like a beacon of health for anything that sees him,
”Yeah *softly coft* I’m just feeling under the weather today, that’s all”
“Sir I am going to get you a ginger ail, some green tea with lemon and honey, and a bowl of my house made chicken soup”
“I... Thanks Mik, due to recent events most people haven’t been all that nice to me”
“Al, why would I not be kind to you? You are the first friend I made here in the new world. And I beleive that one should always be kind to his comerads.”
After our conversation about friends, Al just sat in my restarant and ate very slowly but I didn’t mind. My store is normaly closed on sundays so I normally just read the post, but I keep it open for Al and his friends because they really like my home (russian) cooked meals.
“Hey Al, do you mind if I write to my daughter?”
“Na, go ahead cap”;
Dear daughter, I’m sorry that I haven’t written to you in some time but this letter should have 1500 US dollars to help out with the young one. I have to go now goodbye.

During the comming months Al’s health quickly diminished and he was then sent to Alcatraz Island for tax evation of all things but this did not stop me from being kind to all of his “friends” who came into my store but I think I’ll be shuting down the speakeasy while Al is gone.
Dear Daughter, I wanted to write to you again to say that Al has gone to Alcatraz Island; It is the biggest and worst prison that I have ever seen; but while he is away I have started to shut down the speakeasy in my resaraunt and I will be sending you less money for a while.

I was admited to a hospital shortly after I was shot and I read that Al had died this month of a heart attack, but I think I’m going to say here, I can’t wait to see you and the young one. I was in charge of making sure the staff was doing their job and completing their tasks that I or the owner would give them. I would also watch over chat to make sure no one was over using the powers or miss treating the players. I would also help the owner by getting new people to join the staff and to do the staff applications. I would also help by getting new plugins for the server. One of the was saying that the other player was hacking and the other one said he was not. I told the player to send in a ticket about the problem/ hacker. The player did when I went to check the player the player was not hacking at all so I gave the other player a warning about giving bad information and why he/she should not do it. I learned not to trust what everyone says in game and in real life.

I’m extremely hardworking and focused if I am working on something I enjoy. I am also a decently creative person which is why I am applying for this position.

I don’t have any extraordinary experience with writing, just basic stuff I’ve done for school and another server. On the other server, I was one of the people writing lore, sadly the server never got off the ground. While I didn’t really get to the main part of the story because the server died very early in development. However, I was able to contribute to the lore of a few towns that were on the map, writing the history behind each of them and an outline of the quests available to players in those towns. My experience running events is a little different. I have never managed any events in this game; however, I’ve run a number of tournaments for a fighting game called brawlhalla. In these events I made sure the tournament ran smoothly, helping players who didn’t understand the rules, resolving conflicts, and organizing who played when after the tournament had progressed to the point where we were streaming the matches.
How much time can you contribute to the server each day?
I don’t really have a super clear idea of how much time I can actually spend on the server. I know the next two weeks will be limited because of exams and graduation, but after that it gets a bit more complicated. I will be making a number of trips to the university I will be attending in the fall and going on a vacation, so I likely won’t have a super consistent timeframe of when I can actually be on the server. However, during this time, I will have access to discord and a word processing app, so I can still write and communicate with anyone I need to.

He woke up to the sound of birds chirping, the sun just peaking through his window. A beautiful day in every sense of the word. Alas, nothing could brighten his mood this morning. Today was the day he’d been dreading for weeks, the day he wished would never come. Today was the day he left everything he knew behind. He’d lived in the same house, going to the same school, with the same friends, for 17 years. He just finished his junior year of high school, and until a few weeks ago, looked forward to finishing up his last year and graduating with his friends with whom he’d shared so many memories. He hadn’t told anyone he was leaving; in hopes he could avoid the pain of saying goodbye to those he knew he’d never see again. The plan was to just fade out of existence and hope for the best.
The day passed by slowly. The house was already empty after the movers came by and picked up the last of his family's belongings the day before. He just sat in a corner and rested his head on a wall. He thought of all the memories he made here. The countless nights he spent online talking to friends, all those rainy days spent staring out a window wishing for a spot of sun, and even the sad memories of his beloved pet dying. All of these events are what shaped who he is today, and all of these memories will be left behind with those he had bonded with throughout the years.
The hours continued to slowly melt away, bringing with them the inevitable conclusion to his story. In his final hour, he heard a knock on the door. He assumed it was his parents coming back from dinner, but when he got to the door, he saw someone else, his best friend. He could manage nothing but a stare, for what seemed like an eternity. The two just sat there, looking at each other, thinking what could have been in that last year. Eventually, he broke the silence:
“I-I’m sorry.” he stuttered as he pulled his friend closer. “I just wanted to leave in silence. This was hard enough without having to say goodbye.”
His friend just nodded as the two continued their embrace. Eventually, they stopped, and without talking walked to the backyard, and just lied down. A couple minutes passed, and the two slowly began talking, and even laughing about some of the memories they had together. However, his parents came home, and it was time to leave. The two sat in silence once more, knowing this would be the last they would see of each other. He nodded to his friend, and moved off to the car, looking back every step of the way, ever so happy, he made one last memory.

Builder, admin, mod, developer, you name it. I've been admin on two servers now: -Cloudcraft -Hungergames.in I have been builder too many times to count just helping out starting servers, I have been mod for at least 5 servers(cant remember the names of the top of my head), and my positions have varied from temp-mod to super-mod. What led you to apply for this position & not others? Well, all the servers I've participated in have gotten stale or lost a large amount of their community population, so i've decided to migrate to a new starting up server, hopefully starting in a higher position than others due to my experience. Yes, i'm very observant to the chat and events going on in the server, allowing me to be aware of all problems and potential threats to the fun of our players. How did you deal with the situation? Did you learn anything from it? Yes, actually I have a quite funny story. I was once dealing with an altercation with a player who was using unnecessarily offensive terms in the chat(not that its ever necessary), and it sparked a sort of riot within the chat. There were spams and spams of arguing with this one guy and I guess the team of people he was playing with. I was able to mute this player and broadcast for everyone to calm down in the chat. Once everything calmed down, there came in more and more players using these same terms but in direct messaging, so I asked the admin for the server log and found out who was on at the same time as this first player and who was involved with his island(It was a skyblock server). I was able to ban all the culprits and they started to message me on the forums webpage. Me and the admin sort of roasted him until he decided to leave the server community for good. Sorry for the long story but I think I learned that theres always another way to solve the problems within the server if you dig deep enough into the situation. What are your strengths? I believe that my greatest strength is my honestly and my will. I will never lie in a way that will harm someone else or the server or it's reputation, and with whatever position I am given, I will try my hardest to fulfill it.
What are your weaknesses? I feel my greatest message is my "desire" to be liked by everyone.

Once, many years ago, there was a Kingdom of great power and prestige. This Kingdom went by the name of Athelia. It's many kings lead Athelia's kingdom and colonies very well. Athelia even helped to found and create new kingdoms, some of which went against Athelia in years to come.
Athelia had many guilds, most of them being very honored. The most major of guilds were the Athelian Knights. When the Kingdom of Athelia was founded, a legion was formed to secure, protect, and enforce the laws of the land. The first were of 12 members, who of which set forth the remaining protocol. To be elected for a position in this legion is the highest honor, not considering the king and his close positions.
Our story begins in the midst of our founding knight's first dangerous mission: Prepare for war.

I have never held a true position as a developer on a server, but I have helped to configure many servers, even though as a Staff Manager, etc. I also have started learning how to code plugins. If so elaborate. I have been an admin before on an old server called BBC Craft; however, it unfortunately shut down due to the owner becoming bored with Minecraft. I was admin on BBC Craft for about two years. What led you to apply for this position & not others? I'm not the best builder, and I don't have a developer's skillset, but I can be very objective. Impartiality allows me to be fair to all players, listen to both sides of a story, and settle disputes in a calm manner. Where are you from? I've lived in Arizona my whole life. It's the hottest state in the United States, but you get used to it. What are your strengths? As mentioned before, I can be objective in the role of a moderator. I would say that I am good at seeing things from different perspectives. I have a lot of Minecraft experience, almost exclusively on servers, and I enjoy being as helpful as possible. What are your weaknesses? I have really bad aim with bows in MC, and I am not good at making aesthetically pleasing builds. How much time can you contribute to the server each day? On weekdays, at least 1-2 hours, considering my heavy amount of homework, but I am starting Summer Break this Thursday. On a weekend day, anywhere from 3-6 hours, depending on the day. As a moderator, you're expected to assist/manage the community. Can you accomplish this? What makes you feel this way? Any question someone asks about the server, I am ready to answer. I live to assist, and I feel up to the task. Personal altercations arise sometimes in chat, and I would talk to both people until there is an agreement. If it were necessary to take action, such as muting a spammer, or banning someone for a bannable offense, I would be able to do this fairly, but I would try to find another solution before that. Sometimes there is another way. Tell us about a time you had dealt with an altercation/problem. How did you deal with the situation? Did you learn anything from it?My friends at school, Carlo and Steven, were becoming hostile with one another. It started with jokes, but then the jokes turned mean, and it wasn't long before they were consistently verbally attacking one another. They sit next to me in my German class, and hearing them argue did not sit well with me. I talked with them both during lunch, and they were kind of annoyed that I was trying to "fix" their friendship. I asked them what they were upset about, and all they could say was that the other kept attacking them. I implored them to start being nicer to each other, because they had no real reason to beef. Eventually they grew more normal. I don't know how much I actually helped, and how much of it was them, but I feel like it was an accomplishment. I learned that often times people don't want to be in an altercation, so you have to give them an opportunity to cooperate. Write a paragraph telling us about yourself. I am at the end of my sophomore year at Tempe Preparatory Academy, which is a preppy school people think is for nerds, but its' not that bad. At school, I'm known as a smart kid, but I'm not THE smart kid. Every school has a genius, I'm the guy after that genius. I have a strong sense of integrity, and I am obsessive about keeping my word. Mod, where we would write down all of our appeals and such, and ban requests. They were all recorded. The server eventually shut down because of careless developers and admins. What led you to apply for this position & not others? Well, I was contemplating on applying for builder, but I know I lack determination to finish builds, even if they are good. I'm a perfectionist, which makes me slow and ineffective for time. Where are you from? Georgia, United States. What are your strengths? I'd say I'm realistic, and fair. I'm not biased, and I'm rather content with being the mediator of certain conflicts if need be. I'm a fast learner, and a kind person, with a huge heart for people. What are your weaknesses? I don't have many weaknesses, at least I'm not aware of them. Someone else would be a better judge of that. You could say though, I'm really critical about behavior and kindness to others. Which conflicts with myself and how I should handle the situation. Surely, I won't be that sloppy though. Can you accomplish this? What makes you feel this way? Sure I can, if I didn't feel as if I were up to the task, I wouldn't have gone through the trouble to write this application. Your server has some interesting games and concepts that I like. I sincerely believe I can handle immaturity, rule-breaking, and other violations. Tell us about a time you had dealt with an altercation/problem. How did you deal with the situation? Did you learn anything from it? The sr. Mod above me, had provoked a player into jumping into the warzone, killed him, took his stuff, and the player began to complain and bad mouth the moderator. The mod was making fun of him, saying it was his fault and he wasn't getting his stuff back. I felt as if the moderator was wrong, but staff disrespect is also a violation of the rules. The sr. Mod eventually muted him, but later that night I got in contact with the owner of the server and explained to him that his sr. Mod was acting childish. The owner talked to him in a three-way call, with me. He said he was sorry, and I said I was sorry too, because I felt bad for causing him grief. Everything went good beyond that for a few months until the server shutdown. This was two years ago. Write a paragraph telling us about yourself. I don't come from money, never had it, and I'm not born with spectacular talent, but I'm obedient, with a kind heart and good conscious. My past has been pretty rough, and I have the maturity of an eighteen-year old because of it. I have seen things people will never see, and I'm glad they don't have to. On a scale of 1-10, rate your maturity honestly. I would rate myself about a 9, I am a developer so I am very mature. The 1 point comes from me joking around sometimes, but most of the time I am serious.
How much time can you contribute to the server each day? I can contribute around 4-8 hours a day. I have taekwondo on Mondays, wensdays and fridays, on those days anywhere from 3-6 hours a day. On tuesdays and thursdays, 4-8 hours. On weekends anywhere from 5-11 hours a day.
Also, I can contribute my knowledge and skills I listed earlier in my application. These skills should make me a succesfull staff member if I get the postion.
I can also contribute my hard work, my hard work being helping players, catching hackers, or just generally having fun with players (which is not really work) but it is still interacting with the community, which is a big + for me.

What are your weaknesses? I don't say that i don't have any weaknesses, but there isn't any that does something with my job.

I once met a hacker that had 5 alt accounts, I of course banned them all in the end, but i didn't start a war between me and the hacker, i told him what is going to happen and he agreed with it, in the next day he joined on his not hacked client and played with his friend. I learned that there is always a way to not get any bad relations with the players even when they have done absolutely wrong. This happened very long time ago when i wasn't very experienced mod, so i couldn't remember everything.

Our Gamemodes:
Elysium - Players spawn into the prison. In the prison, they're expected to mine, collect resources, and do jobs in order to rank up and become free. In the prison, there are several hidden escape routes...and access to the black market. There are 4 ranks you're expected to go through in prison. A,B,C, and D. If you escape prison, you are automatically labeled a fugitive and all cops and city officials see your name in a different color. When you are a fugitive, you become an official member of the underworld. A player that chooses to leave jail the proper way can also become a member of the underworld if they chose to. Players in the underworld can make money through the black market, heists, or robbing people. If a player does not choose to join the underworld, they are an official member of Elysium, the city of prosperity.In Elysium, your objective is to climb the ranks and become rich. They can take on jobs from richer folk. they can make money by going to different districts outside the city like the lumber district and the mining district. The highest ranking player is the king. The king can choose who lives in his castle and becomes a lord or royal member of the court. Underworld players can become drug lords, drug lords basically control the underground world. Cops and Drug lords are at a constant battle for control of the city. Therefore, there will always be controlled pvp going on throughout the city.
