If you check my second latest post on the topic:
I list my opinion on changing the rendering, there is not to much you can do without affecting minecraft gameplay, as you lose rendering of blocks and their hitboxes being the same.

So what you're really worried about is others using a texture pack with crazy models and it messing up your build? First off, people can do that anyways (think **** texturepacks) and also, that's what "official packs" and server textures are for. If other people want to be stupid, there's nothing anyone can do to stop. And if someone else is being an idiot, then you probably shouldn't be concerned about their opinions in the first place.

(then again, I was mostly talking to Alvoria)

With texture items as mario, I have had several times where I wanted to change the shape of blocks and how they rendered; although, I agree that super fancy models is a bad idea. Maybe if they only allowed rectangular solids and rotation it would work?

    Oh my!

Ok. I know everyone is worried about fancy models, but before you complain, remember this:
    1) You are entitled to NOT USE WHATEVER MODEL YOU DON'T WANT
    2) If you want a texture pack but don't like the fancypants models, just delete the json file, or replace it w/ a custom one.

I have to agree that you're blowing it way, way, WAY out of proportion. If someone includes those obnoxious teakettle models or whatever, just either don't use the pack or delete the json file.

TL;DR - If you don't like it, don't use it. Complaining is just irritating and pointless.

Besides, I think that once people get the hang of it, we might see some truly great adventure maps, and even some spectacular texture packs. Yes, people might make ultra-hd packs with a million polygons, but that doesn't mean you have to use them.

posted a message on Idfix and Idfix Minus: mods for resolving Id conflicts
Has a conflict with Tconstruct, every time the game loads it changes one of its ids.
Could you please add an option to ignore certain conflicts, in case a mod is supposed to overwrite a block, or in case there is a conflict that actually a conflict?

EDIT: other than this small issue, the mod works great! everything runs smoothly.
The reason for the conflict with Tconstruct is technically Tconstruct's fault because it overwrites itself, though it would be nice to have a whitelist for ignored IDs, as some mods overwrite vanilla blocks.

Please consider making the change; right now I have to remove the mod so it doesn't break my worlds.

    TL;DR :
Works great, but has no way of ignoring ids. I would just LOVE to see that feature added.

Seems a lot of people are looking for this feature. let's hope the author hears us...

Nice job! A simple but solid mod. And he is right, it's bounding box.
Are any of these things craftable? what are the recipes?
Also, making it indestructible makes it difficult to use in survival.
maybe make a wrench or something, and when you right click it it breaks the block, but only if you placed it.

sorry if this doesn't translate correctly :P

Found a game-breaking bug: crashes due to running out of memory, from some array in tabbychat.
will post crash on pastebin later.

    Windows 8 (not my idea)
    Java 64-bit
    Vanilla, no other mods installed.
    Minecraft 1.6.2

I've used this mod before, and I love it, so I hope this can get sorted out soon.

    IGN: swyrl (all lower case)
Skype (may send in pm): swyrl_enderborn (don't call me please)
    Age: 17
Minecraft experience: Been playing since way back when in the days of 1.4_1 or so, when the names still had underscores in them :P.
Void's Warth experience (this doesn't affect your app at all, just wondering): been playing since it was first released, ragequit for a while when the town I was in unfairly gave me the boot. If you want the whole story behind that, you can PM me about it later.
How often do you play? (on average): everyday, 5+ hours, not always minecraft or voids wrath
What is your favorite Minecraft hobby?: interior design and redstone, though also hording :D
What do you specialize in? (i.e. redstone, building, exploring): Design and redstone, resource gathering.
Any other information about you that would help you get accepted?: Not really. For a while I was in cahoots with admins for a tekkit server group, but never went anywhere with it. I enjoy helping people if I'm not too busy myself, but dislike being relied on for it, hence not wanting to be an admin. Anyways, aside from that, I am really into mods in general, and have played pretty much every modpack out there, from FTB to AMCO to Tekkit to Void's wrath. Not only that but I compile my own modpacks as well. Because of this, I have at least passing familiarity with almost every mod out there.

when will 1.6 support be coming? also, could you make a tutorial for making modpacks with this thing. (the GUI is very complex) Looks useful, though ATM all I really want is a launcher that can launch 1.6 jars.

Now does this included mods disabled by default, like BoP or powerconverters? Just thought I'd ask for some clarification.

    May as well apply here:

    IGN: swyrl (no caps)
    Age: 17, turning 18 soon.
Why?: Looking for an unleashed server to play on periodically with EVERYTHING. (except stuff with exploits)
Staff?: No. I like helping people, but am too busy to be staff.
Rules: I can handle no hate speech and I like no greifing. (i'm a peaceful player.) Though I'm only 17, I'm still plenty capable of being mature about things.

If I'm too young then that's OK, I'll just come back after my birthday :P

    add lecterns in

Also, later, if its not too much work, make a mod that adds stuff from pocket edition please.
I know its asking a lot, but I'm mostly just throwing around ideas. thanks for listening anyways.
