    And then perhaps it'll "level up" the machine, like a furnace, causing things to cook faster or use less fuel?

    Quote from Bellaabzug21

    This may seem ridiculous, but what if you could move exp around in tubes to all your different machines? This seems like a blossoming mod that will soon add more fun things revolving around exp and I think this would be a fun addition. Another good one would be something that generates exp at a very low set rate.

    Woah! I'm just a beginner ;). But believe me, eventually, I will :)

    You should make it so you could get twice the amount of XP if you give the xp transformer the ore of diamond (40 for the ore), lapis (8 for the ore), and redstone (2 for the ore)! Please consider this feature!

    Sincerely,
    Rolie129:rolleyes:

    Sounds good!

    Epic.... The unused block count will suddenly drop.

    Might I suggest a reverse block? One that gives you items for (A rather large) amount of XP?
    You could sell worthless blocks and Items for more valuable ones... (Good for those who stand at EXP grinders for hours.)

    Thanks! And your idea is quite good. I'll consider it :)

    A simple, yet extremely useful mod!
    Great job, Vox Populi for a great mod review!
    Have you ever had unneeded materials? Have you ever needed more XP to rename items or enchant them? Well, this is the mod for you! Simply right click this block and it will take your item and turn it into experience points! This is my first mod, so please give it a chance. If you have any suggestions, please reply*!

    If you want to make a Video of this mod, please let me know, and I will post it on this topic!

    *Don't worry If I don't reply to your post. I most likely saw it. I just don't want to go and fill up reply section with all my posts ;) !

    Crafting:

    Pictures of other blocks

    XP Calculator

    XP Trader

    Info about each block

    XP Transformer

    This is the block that started the mod. I could not think of an idea for a mod, and began to play vanilla Minecraft. I realized how much extra resources build up in your chests, and also how annoying it is to fill up your XP bar to a decent point (especially when you want to combine enchanted tools at an anvil). So after some planning, this is the outcome; A block that takes unneeded crap and turns it into XP points. However, it will not take resources that are abundant, etc, cobblestone, dirt, and sand. Currently, it is not even close to being overpowered, so don't worry. I'm working on changing the values and making them just right, because I feel it is currently under powered.
    XP Trader

    Have you ever been making something, and right when you are almost done, you realize that you are just short of materials? Or, perhaps, you only have one of what you need, and require a crap ton more? Well, this block is definitely the killer of that problem. If you have enough XP Levels, you can easily obtain more of almost any item! Simply right click that block while you are holding the item that you require more of, and POOF! The stack size is now that much larger. The price of levels and the amount of items you get back vary depending on what you hold.
    Better uses:
    -Ever wanted a copy of your best selling novel? Hold your book in hand, and right click the trader to get a copy!
    -Want to copy your fireworks / firework stars? Done!
    -What about those enchanted books? Those can be copied, too!
    XP Calculator

    Want to find out how much an item is worth? Hold it in hand and click this block! It will tell you everything you need to know in a chat message!
    What the message means
    Value: #XP Points, Get # for #L

    Let's go over this part by part. First, the "Value: #". This tells you how many XP points you get if you were to put this item in the XP Transformer. Next, "Get # for #L". If you were to put the item you are holding into an XP Trader, this tells you how many you would get back, and what the price in levels is.
    For example, I click on the XP Calculator with an emerald. This is the message I get: "Value: 10XP Points, Get 1 for 6L". This means that I will get 10 XP points if I feed this emerald to the XP Transformer, and I will get 1 Emerald for every 6 Levels I give the XP Trader.
    One more example, I click on the XP Calculator with coal. This is the message I get: "Value: 1XP Points, Get 3 for 1L". This means that I will get 1 XP point if I feed this coal to the XP Transformer, and I will get 3 coal for every level I give the XP Trader.

    Examples of XP values

    Iron Ingot: 4 XP
    Gold Ingot: 8 XP
    Diamond: 20 XP
    Lapis: 4 XP
    Redstone: 1 XP

    Of course you can put almost any item/block into it!

    • GUI
    • Support for tools and armor
    • Better textures
    • More!

    So this is in the class for my block. It works fine, however, the problem is that it will not decrease the stack size of the held item. When I test it out, the number quickly decreases, and within half of a second, it goes back to its previous value. What am I doing wrong?
    public boolean onBlockActivated(World world, int i, int j, int k, EntityPlayer player, int l, float m, float n, float o)
    {
    EntityPlayer Player = Minecraft.getMinecraft().thePlayer;
    if (world.isRemote)
    {
    return true;
    }
    else {
    if(Player.getCurrentEquippedItem() != null && Player.getCurrentEquippedItem().itemID == Item.ingotIron.shiftedIndex)
    {
    --Player.getCurrentEquippedItem().stackSize;
    }
    return true;
    }

    There is also one more problem. I cant get the stacksize to deplete...
    --Player.getCurrentEquippedItem().stackSize;
    will not work.

    posted a message on How to check what item a player is hold when you click a block?
    I need to check if the player is holding a certain item when a block is clicked. I tried this:
        public boolean onBlockActivated(World world, int par2, int par3, int par4, EntityPlayer player, int par6, float par7, float par8, float par9)
        {

            if (world.isRemote)
            {
                return true;
            }
            else
            {
                if (player.getHeldItem() ==new ItemStack(Item.ingotGold, 1, 0))
                {
                    //It doesn't work!
                }
                return true;
            }
        }

    But it doesn't work. Any help?
