Well, I was wondering if there was an easier way, like editing the biome of a chunk.

posted a message on Pre Biome Snow world fix
Well, with the Holidays coming around the corner, I think that it would be a great idea to figure how to get the chunks made in before the Halloween update last year in a snow world into being a snowy biome. Currently, in those areas it rains. My (very old) World was a snow world before the Halloween update, and I have really missed that snow. I was wondering if anyone else did as well.

posted a message on NOTCH APOLOGIZED TO YOGSCAST
From what I know of Notch and the Yogscast, It seems that Notch was told this, and he was justifiably angry. Unfortunately, Notch doing what he did, not getting the full story, was wrong. The Yogscast did handle this maturely, but their fans did not, like they do with everything. Basically, this misunderstanding seems to be over, but some Yogscast fans started ranting about how Notch is evil, and Notch Fans, and the rest of the community got sick of them constantly spreading insanity.

posted a message on A honest Minecraft review
So what I get, it is like reviewing Halo or Call of Duty when you hate the FPS genre. Yes you have your own opinion, but that doesn't mean that your opinion even makes sense. You seem to not like Minecraft because it is a sandbox. Obviously your time would be better spent pwning people on Xbox or whatever than ranting for twenty minutes about a game you only focus on the negative on.

posted a message on i just bought minecraft

so I just heard this game was released so after waiting I finally got to buy it. i was so disapointed. how could this game exist when there are games like cod or bf3 out there with a million times better graphics. if im gonna waste my time on a game im not gonna waste my life looking at graphics from the 1970s. i mean really. and even with the terrible graphics the game is unplayable. rocks take way to long to destroy and they dont even drop stone for a pickaxe. way to release a broken game.

Obviously you don't know how to play, and you would rather look at a exact picture than play a game that is really what it is all about. First, you need to make a wooden pickaxe out of WOOD. Then you mine STONE with the PICK. In a world where there are games with a million times better graphics, a game that is actually unlimited is fun for a change. No more interactive movies like COD. This is the real deal.

posted a message on Minecraft Archaeology
I have an Idea. Maybe the Strongholds are religious structure built in exact spots to channel the energy of the End. Villages might be constantly rebuilding themselves, and have been around for ages. They dug large mineshafts to support their population, but natural disasters where plaguing their lands. Finally they figure out a way to the nether using plans sent to them by Notch. They construct large roads connecting large amounts of land. Other structures are built around these roads. Later on, they discover rifts in the overworld. These rifts slowly leak endermen. After locating all three rifts, they build large religious complexes around each one. But little did they know that those rifts were what was causing the disasters, and the act of opening up the rifts completely unleashed a force that decimated their civilization. Large ravines opened up and storms raged across the land. This is when Steve is seperated from normal civilization. Being deformed(compared to the villagers), and suffering from slight amnesia, he slowly relearns everything. Every once in a while he will find a new resource that he can't locate in older parts of the areas he's memorized. Over time, he relearned nether portal making, wool dying, how to tame wolves, and what lapis looks like. Now he is learning new advances villages have made that he wasn't aware of. Potion making and enchanting. And with new lighting(Blocky-smooth-textured Steve's vision has been clearing up.

posted a message on Is the end the new sky dimension?

I dont really care , the point was , if you are a MW2 fan , and you have been waiting for MW3 for months , how would you feel if they just say they will make black ops 2 , or start something new.

That is exactly what notch is doing.

Not exactly as Notch didn't promise anything. It would be more like you hear a rumor that MW3 is coming out and it doesn't... Or more precisely Half Life 2 episode 3.

posted a message on Is the end the new sky dimension?
Well, since everyone was expecting a heaven dimension, I think the End is a nice addition. Sure you can call it useless, but you can also say that the rest of the game is useless too. Yes the Aether is nice and all, but someone already did that, and this is more creative. The End does need more stuff though. It's too hard to go to without a good reason. Maybe something extremely awesome. Super potions?

posted a message on How 1.8 has affect my views of Mojang
I read it all, and you seem to be one of those people who go "X promised me y. It's been a week. I no have y, so X is evil and lazy." First, anyone who makes anything for the general public/anyone, should know how easy it is to make severely optimistic predictions about what will happen. Second, Notch hasn't promised anything about 1.8 other than that it is going to be called 1.8. Really there is nothing much in this. Notch does what he wants with the game, and finds out what works. There are people who like that sort of thing, and there are people who don't. This isn't a government. Just find a game that has what you want and play it. Don't whine about things that are out of your control. Yes, it is annoying that 1.8 isn't released yet, but complaining won't do anything.

posted a message on Stop comlaing about 1.8 survival
In my eye, this is just going to be a whole new game after this. I don't mean it in a bad way, because it does what Notch wanted it to do. Once you start thriving, you go and have an adventure. Farming is greatly boosted, and adventure is finally added. In 1.8, there will be countless things to do. I would like to see a commercial done about it like 1.7.

    Quote from WarpXR

Really OP? It's more survival than ever. Eat so you don't die, larger lands, new creatures, new tactics. Now there are things we must fear in the game. The greatest asset to survival is fear. That goes for some of you here. Those who fear Endermen, those who fear poison, arachnids, the dark tunnels, lava, falling in ravines. You don't understand OP that survival got an upgrade.

Someone needs to write a Old Spice Man script about 1.8 with what you just said at the end.

posted a message on Towns are nice and all but...
My first real use of redstone was with pistons, I didn't care enough to dig up my entire base to just fix a door, so I just made a seperate room for sleeping. The thing that bothers me is is you put doors on either side of glass, they become double doors. like this DGD. It was quite annoying.

posted a message on NO MORE ZOMBIE FEATHERS!
    Quote from poiuytrewqa

i dont want that! zombies should still be able to drop feathers, i like my infinite feathers thank you very much (from dungeons).

unless of course chickens get an improvement, shearing them like sheep, their feathers grow back and dont despawn that i guess would be ok... enough.

Well we will be able to breed them, so just get a couple chickens, and after the chickenocolypse, you'll have plenty of raw chicken and feathers!

posted a message on What's the first thing YOU"LL do when beta 1.8 comes out?
To The WEST! Seriously, that is the closest border of my world. The Eastern border is about 3 days away, the northern one is 2, and so is the southern one. The Western one is a half day away. I am totally prepared. First, I will find a settlement or a river to establish a Western base of operations. Second, I will begin to hunt down the giant mushrooms, and harvest saplings so I can grow them In the 5 story tree farm I made. Next, I will track down some melons. At this time I will establish a minecart line from the Base of operations to my huge castle. This will be used for transporting goods, and may or may not have booster rails. After the line is established, I will begin to grow pumpkins and melons. Throughout this, I will be eating from my large reserve of food that I have established. I will soon return to the west with more supplies to continue to harvest the new goodies. I will also start trading cobblestone with the natives. The only thing that has not been planned out is wether or not I will start wearing armor in this update, or if I will waste any diamonds on tools. That is to be decided after my large scale mining operation going on at the moment.
